When Blade walked up next to her, Kohaku paused what she was doing to smile and wave... Though by that time he'd already looked back up at the sky...

With a frown, the mute was about to go back to what she was doing, until she heard another person approach.

Oh, it was Neko. Standing up straight, Kohaku did her best to dust her hands off before reaching into her pocket and grabbing her notebook.

'I'm not very good at cooking.' Is what she wrote and handed to Neko in a nervous fashion, not that she didn't appreciate his offer.

Riyo held back a frown as she saw the disgusted look on his face when he finished the liquid undeath off.

As Klyde thanked her, Riyo scooted closer to his side. Though... When he asked his question, she couldn't help but smile sadly. "Am I ever okay?" The honest answer was no, which made her wonder how he put up with it.

Though she didn't seem upset by the question. The time for that had passed. "Are you still hungry?" She asked softly, taking one of his hands gently in hers.

Ah... Desmond hadn't meant to... Stare... ********. Glancing at the floor, the vampire didn't look back up until there was a bottle in front of him. Reluctantly, his fingers wrapped around it, and before he had a chance to think, he threw it back into his throat, a cough shortly following. It was better that way, though. Before he had a chance to taste it..

It took him a moment to wipe the grimace from his face, but when he did, his hands dropped the bottle and immediately wrapped around Mitsu. "Have I told you how beautiful you are today?" He asked softly, pulling her close. It was obvious he still wasn't 100%, but at least the sewage would get him on the right path.

Taking his gaze off the starry sky, Blade glanced back to see Neko approaching them. Taking the beer, he looked over the bottle for a few moments before deciding to go ahead and drink some. One bottle couldn't hurt.

"There've been worse," he said in response before pausing. He read what Kohaku had written first and nodded slowly.

"I'm not exactly much of a cook myself."

The thief has had to cook some small things before, but it really wasn't all that spectacular and was more or less edible at best. A chunk of the time, he ended up overcooking or kind of burning the food.

Neko waited patiently for Kohaku to write out her note and red it over carefully. Seemed Blade shared the same sentiment. "I can handle the cooking but there are other things that can be done to help speed things along. You guys can help with the prep work and set the table." Oh yeah, he wasn't going to go down doing this nice deed alone....he would drag them from their room if he had to. "Don't make me beg and make this more awkward." Neko added before taking a sip of his own beer.

Setting the now empty bottle aside Klyde reached out to wrap his arms around Riyo, a light frown on his features when she asked if she was ever okay. "I..I'm here now." He said gently looking to his hand as she took it into her own. The vampire gave it a light squeeze before he leaned over and placed a light kiss on the side of Riyo's face. "I'm fine for now." He was still hungry, Klyde was never not hungry, but he wasn't going to say that and give Riyo any ideas....and he wasn't certain he could choke down another bottle of fake blood just yet.

Leaning back into the pillows behind him Klyde pulled Riyo closer. At least most of the marks had somewhat healed across his chest and there was no longer the sickening smell of burnt flesh. His lips still looked a little burnt in places and the look on his face said he still didn't feel very well but it was all steps he supposed. Probably by morning he would feel mostly back to his old self. At least he had quick healing on his side.

"I hope...you don't blame yourself for what happened..." He said softly knowing how Riyo often played things out in her mind. She usually took the burden of a situation and set it squarely on her shoulders so that no one else could bare the weight of it and help out.

As Mitsu was pulled closer the wolf girl rested her head on Desmond's chest her arms wrapping around his middle. She hadn't had much time to think over what had happened earlier in the day, the shock of what had happened to everyone else over shadowing what had happened to her. Now that she was given time to settle and think the situation over tears had started to gather in her eyes all over again. She also had never found Riyo....was the girl okay?

Bringing back her hand shortly she rubbed at her eyes trying to keep the tears out of sight before she settled back down into snuggling close. "Are you ....feeling be-" Again her voice squeaked out in the end. At least she was getting further into what she wanted to say but it was still slightly frustrating. How did Kohaku manage?

Kohaku seemed confused by Neko's insistence that they help him with breakfast in the morning. But at his last comment, the mute's eyes widened and she quickly gave him a nod. If He really wanted them helping him, then Kohaku wasn't about to turn the janitor away...

As Riyo was pulled closer to the vampire, she let out a soft sigh and fell back into the bed with him. "I know." It was the more pleasant response she had to the fact that he was here, though a small part of her hissed 'should've been here earlier' on the inside.

The fact that he said he was fine made her wonder if he really was or if he was just covering up the fact that he didn't want to try drinking anything else. That was, however, a little bit of her fault. that had been a pretty big scene, and may have been easily avoided with a little caution on each side...

Speaking of blaming herself, Riyo didn't respond when Klyde made the comment. She did, of course. She always did. "Klyde. Would you pass me the bottle of everclear sitting on the nightstand over there?" She asked and pointed to it, still intent on getting s**t faced tonight.

Desmond had managed to catch a glimpse of tears in his girlfriends eyes, a hand reaching up to brush her hair back slightly. He wanted to ask her what happened, much like she wanted to know... But the way she was talking right now meant that the answer probably wouldn't make much sense.

"I'm alright." Desmond replied, able to figure out what she was trying to say. Or, rather... He would be soon. His body was already starting to feel better.

"What about you?" Hopefully she'd be able to get at least half an answer out so he could imagine the rest.

Giving Neko a bit of an odd look, Blade took a moment before nodding with a sigh.

"Fine, if you're that desperate for help," he said. He didn't really get what the deal was there but he didn't really feel like fighting against that. Taking another sip, he glanced back towards the shore, watching the waves roll in for a bit.

"What time do you need us to wake up by?" he asked, figuring they'd have to get up early enough to cook stuff for the rest of the group and all.

Klyde frowned a little but reached over and grabbed for the bottle. He didn't hand it over just yet though, looking into the feline's eyes with concern. "Trying to drink your problems away really doesn't work....I've tried. They're still there when you sober up." For normally being fairly dense he had his moments of wisdom.

"I know you are upset," He said gently. "You have every right to be but you don't deserve to take it out on yourself."

Mitsu had started to open her mouth like she wanted to answer but faltered. She didn't even try to say anything but instead nodded her head. The wolf girl was alive after all, everyone was alive though maybe a little mentally scarred. But being alive to see another day was a start right?...

Snuggling a bit closer Mitsu rested her head under Desmond's chin, pulling the hair he had just moved back around to cover her neck.

"Good," Neko nodded satisfied that they would help. Quickly he down his beer looking out over the ocean for a moment before looking down at his arms. The thick bands of new 'tattoos' was distressing but in the end well worth it. It had been satisfying to watch the man struggle to the end before he finally went still. A cruel part of Neko had enjoyed every moment of the man's slow death while another part was disgusted with himself.

"I'll come get you up at eight," Neko then looked at his watch to see what time it was. "....make that ten....." He did like to sleep in after all.

Glancing over towards Neko again, Blade nodded at the time given. They'd get some chance to sleep then.. perhaps. As he looked at the janitor, he noticed the dark markings now visible on his arm. Those.. weren't there before and the likelihood of Neko getting some new tattoos while he was getting groceries earlier was not big.

"What's with your arm?" he asked. The thief also still wanted to know what exactly happened while he was out but that could wait. He didn't want to think about it all that much.

Slowly, Shun started to come back around, shifting and stirring on the bed. With a low groan, his eye opened partially. There was a sort of dull look in it as he moved his head some to glance around. It took him a moment to realize that Mitsu wasn't at his side right now.

With this realization, he tried to sit up but pain just shot through his entire self, bringing him back down. That aside, he felt incredibly weak right now. The heavy use of magic while poisoned, along with the fact that he really hadn't eaten anything all day did not work too well.

Riyo smiled as she reached out to take the bottle... Until he held it away from her.

Then started preaching s**t about drinking problems away and taking it out on herself.

"Do keep in mind, Klyde, that if it wasn't for that liquid in the bottle, the first time you came to my dorm room would've ended in a card game and nothing more." And not awkwardly waking up next to him with significantly less clothes than she remembered having on the night prior. It was obvious she was irritated, the way her tail flicked back and fourth on the bed next to them. If he was going to keep withholding booze, she was going to have to do something about it.

Desmond wasn't sure if she was telling the truth or just wanted to rest her voice box... But it got her closer to him either way. Which was nice. Smiling, he pulled back only slightly to press a kiss to her head, taking a moment to kick off his shoes and push the blankets out from under them to cover the wolf girl and himself. "I love you Mitsu." He cooed, content to stay here like this until they both forgot about the hellish day.

Kohaku would at least be up at 8 anyways. One of those 'early to bed, early to rise' kinds of people. Though, when Blade pointed out Neko's arms, she couldn't help but look at them herself. Had those tattoos been there earlier? The traumatic event that followed made her unsure of almost everything at this point...

Again Neko looked to his arm as Blade asked what was up. There really was no answer he could give or was willing to give. "It's nothing of great importance."

Looking to his empty beer can Neko looked back up toward the house. "I'm going to go get another. Be sure to get some rest. Today was sort of traumatic." Sort of was probably an understatement at best for most but Neko was ready to help put the event behind them. He would just have to be more cautious of people sneaking about the house. The feline never expected he would actually have to play the role of a responsible adult and protect the kids in his charge.

Klyde let out an audible sigh finally passing the bottle over to Riyo. "That situation wasn't like this." At least he didn't think it was. He had actually already liked Riyo at the time and if she hadn't liked him she never would have let it happen drunk or not....right?

Sighing a bit, the sound of it a little more content that what she had been feeling. It was good to be close to Desmond after a day like today. "I love you too.." It sounded like her voice had been about to give but she had managed to get the short sentence out.

Laying down for the moment, Mitsu was content to rest for a little while. She would get up and check on Shun again shortly. She wanted to make sure he wasn't doing worse. He hadn't seemed any better when she had left the room. The wolf girl was really worried that he would need to be taken to the hospital now.

Blade didn't really buy that answer, but he decided not to pry. Then, as the guy started to head back in, he nodded before turning back around. He wasn't really ready to go in yet.

For a moment or so, he looked back towards the beach house, wondering how the rest of the group was faring. Frowning at the thought, he shook his head. Letting out another sigh, he glanced briefly at Kohaku before sitting himself onto the sand, slowly drinking the beer Neko had given him.

Nothing of great importance? Well, Kohaku knew some people had special powers. Maybe Neko's was giving himself neat tattoos or something.

When the adult walked off to grab another beer, the mute let out a silent sigh and turned back to what she was doing.

Until she noticed Blade lingering about..

For a moment, she thought about 'saying' something to him, before she finally wrote 'Are you okay?' in the sand next to him.

As Riyo was handed the bottle, she held it in her greedy little hands for a moment before reaching up to open it.

But... She paused as she was about to drink, realizing how hateful she must've sounded to him just a moment ago. Half of her fought to forget about it and just drink herself into a coma... The other half felt extremely guilty.

Though, for once, she listened to the intelligent side instead of the impulsive. With frustration, she recapped the bottle and set it aside. "Okay. It wasn't just because of the alcohol." She admitted, folding her arms and turning away from him. "It was because you were the first person who'd made me feel good about myself in a long time.."

As the room grew quiet, Desmond grew drowsy. With a content smile on his face, the vampire closed his eyes and held Mitsu close as he started to doze off, happy that he could wake up next to her in the morning.

Once the bottle was out of his hands Klyde just laid back and looked at the ceiling starting to question the 'game night' they had at the dorms so long ago. He was at the peek of coming to a horrible conclusion when he heard Riyo speak up. Curiously he turned toward her seeing the untouched bottle in her hands.

A soft smile crossing his still slightly burnt lips Klyde pulled Riyo close to press a kiss to the side of her head. "I hope to be the person that always makes you feel good." Though despite how he felt he couldn't help but grin slightly. "One way or another." Some things never changed it seemed. At times it would have been safe to say Klyde had matured but then there were moments like this were it was apparent he had not. "That aside, it's only fair to let you hear the truth even if you don't always believe it. You are stunningly beautiful."

In the looming silence Mitsu had actually started to drift off but had stopped herself with a slight jerk of her head. After a few moments of battling this problem she decided to get up. She was worried about the assassin and wanted to check on him again.

"I'll be back," She whispered to the vampire pressing a soft kiss to the side of his face. The wolf girl wouldn't be gone long hopefully, Shun no doubt needed his rest as well, but she had to be sure he wasn't getting worse. How horrible she would feel if she left him in his room all night suffering when he probably should have been taken to the hospital and possibly something could have been done.

Seeing the message in the sand in the corner of his eyes, Blade glanced down and read the question. He thought about the answer for a moment and shrugged lightly.

"I'll be fine," he said quietly. It really wasn't anything he hadn't felt or dealt with before. Not at its core at least.

Every now and then, Shun shifted a little uncomfortably on the bed as he laid there, unable to move for the most part. It was rather quiet in here. And while on a normal basis, he really wouldn't mind being alone, he actually felt fairly lonely this time. Perhaps it was because he had a good feeling that Mitsu was off with Desmond or her other friends at the moment.

Then again, he wouldn't expect any less. As sad as that made him feel, it was for the better. This was her vacation and she deserved to have a good time.

A smile slowly formed on Riyo's face as she listened to Klyde speak, turning back and wrapping her arms around him tightly. "You're terrible..." She whispered in his ear, a soft purr following. "And quite handsome." Even with a slightly burnt body.

As Mitsu left his arms, a frown crossed Desmond's face. She was... leaving him? "... Okay..." He mumbled, sighing and laying back down.

That seemed like the response Kohaku always received. Frowning, she erased the words with her feet and began writing something else.

'Just because I'm mute doesn't mean I can't listen.' A bit of a snappy comeback for being blown off so many times in the past.

Klyde grinned softly a hand reaching up to brush through the golden hair at the side of Riyo's face, the softest of touches caressing her cheek. He knew he looked pretty bad right now but the comment was nice all the same. "If you still want a drink I'll share one with you." It might ease the slight discomfort he felt anyway. There was hope.

Mitsu frowned a bit at Desmond's expression, not wanting him to be upset. "Worried..." She said shortly hoping he would understand. The wolf girl wouldn't be able to rest without knowing Shun was okay.

Giving Desmond another kiss this time on the lips Mitsu slowly moved back and headed toward the door. She looked back shortly before moving down the hall toward Shun's room. Slowly she peeked into the assassin's room to see if he was awake. She didn't want to disturb him but she wanted to check up on him.
