"I thought he would be entertaining," the kalona muttered darkly making her way into the cave and finding a nice spot to settle and preen. "I was greatly mistaken. Arrogant, obnoxious, know-it-all - of course I was aware of all that going into the thing. But he was so consumed with rage I thought for sure winding him up and pointing him in the right direction would be a delightful tempest of pure chaos. How was I to know he's devote the extent of his "Great Intellect" to winning, complaining, and demanding to know My Ideas. M idea was blood, gore, and some flying feathers - maybe a few depreciating dog comments along the way..." she flicked her tail irritably. "I had such high hopes for that one too. Such a mind could work out such delightful plans for anarchy if only he were susceptible to a nice little push." After a derisive snort she added, "Nothing less than than a concussion could get though that thick skull of his."

Thosi snorted. This blue mare sure did like to hear herself talk. Thosi could only assume that it was because she hadn't had much opportunity to speak while the hound was around. "Why stay with him now? He's gone. The rain will dispense your scent. Why not leave?"

"I may," the kalona said cheerfully. "I think I will, actually. Maybe go on the search for something else to amuse me. After the storm, of course. I can't abide by water at all, makes a mess of my feathers."

Thosi snorted again and shook her head. "That's the problem with feathers. They soak up water and drag you down." she rustled her own, superior wings.

"Yeah well, you work with what you have," she said stretching her wings and smoothing her feathers. "You know, the two of us...we could have some fun together." She giggled, "Clearly with our superior wings we could spread chaos throughout the land....just as soon as this rain stops."

"I'm all about spreading a little chaos, looks like I just need to pick my partners a little better," she practically purred, her tail twitching as she watched the rain beyond the cave. "So, what do you say?"
