I can't beat the feeling that I get when I'm with you! (I'm a bit confused as to whether the robots have broken through the door or not, so I'm assuming that they have found a way through somehow.)
As the robots began to pour into the monolith, Special charged up her fan. While her fan appeared to be a normal lace one, it had several lasers built it. The edge was razor sharp too and could cut through metal if thrown with enough force. After she heard a faint beeping sound, she flicked her fan at the nearest robot. A purple laser shot out of one of the tips and left a hole through the robot's chest. The robot kept moving forward, undaunted by the wound that would kill most humans. A look of determination on her face, Special launched her fan at the robot. It spiralled at its head and sliced right through its metallic neck. The fan then returned to Special like a boomerang and she calmly caught it. After standing still for several seconds, watching the robot cease its movement, sparks flew from its neck and the head blew off. A smile crossed her face as she examined the room for the next threat.
My heart plays a rhythm in my head, I can't help but move!

(actually, the door was never really open to begin with, but I decided to go along with it. Luckily, I've got a plan)
Hadore satared in silent horror at whatw as happening to his library, it was completely filled with laser fire, magic, and everthing else epic battles are made of. This however was not the best of places for epic battles. Robots knocked down book shelves, lasers singed the walls and floor. At this rate, the whole place would be ruined. Hadore's inner rage burned brighter and hotter than any sun in the galaxy. He screamed at the top of his lungs "Everybody out!" a large wall of ice, about the size of the main room, shoved everyone, including the robots, out into open air. The room was now completely empty, the large ice wall had stopped at the door and covered it and everything else on that side of the room. Nobody could get in for a half hour at most. Hadore kneeled down and lamented. His family's life story was all in this monolith, generation upon generation had gone through this haven. If anything were to happen to it, Hadore would singlehandedly annihilate whoever did it.

Emma blined as she landed facefirst into the ground. "What." was what she siad, getting up. And realizing that she was surrounded by robots. "Uh......." without her weapons, she thought she was useless. Emma didn't know she had magic.
And then a blow knocked down her tophat, already battered and torn from all the adventures.
She twitched. As her mouth turned into a scowl, her eyes glowed orange once more. Live fire sparked at her fingertips, and Ashtara figuratively gave her controll. "That...was...my...HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!" and with this makeshift battlecry, Emma lunged at the robots. With a scream of rage, she dissapeared, a wide collumn of fire several feet tall stood at her place. It moved, snakelike in its form, and the robots around it melted. Not to say there were not lots more.

3nodding In case everyone didn't notice, Ace is back! She might be joining us shortly.
"I see so it's a group of magic users. It may have been a mistake to bring along such low class drones." Maria pondered to herself watching the fight from afar. "This is standard procedure for exploration of a new dimension." she continued looking at that giant palace. "This might even be a crowning glory to Glenn and I later on."
Maria turned toward the gate and then looked up at the giant primitive robot. "Gigantor, I leave this to you. Just don't put a scratch on that building." she gave her orders and left into the gate. Gigantor, stomped and started marching toward the battle field.
"So what now? Our awesome base of operations was blown up." Elle said sarcastically looking around at all the sand. "It wasn't even at the ocean either!" she complained stomping her foot in the sand. Desirae looked around as well and then stopped in one direction. "There's a forest over there. If intel was correct there should be a small military base over in that direction. This part of the world has a line of defense that is keeping attacking robots at bay." Desirae explained starting to walk in the direction she chose. Tina pondered and then asked; "So there are still humans alive?" she walked with her aunt. "Yes, most of them being enslaved and used for parts of some kind. That information is still hazy. But on this side with the defensive line, there are a few prosperous cities." she explained more as the group stopped and saw a vast forest right on the edge of the desert. "Is it normal to have a line like this?! One have is dead and desolate and the other is lush green and I think I heard chirping birds!" Elle yelled in astonishment. "We've managed to perfect advanced Terra forming methods. When everything gets back to normal we have to rebuild even the planets surface to everything back to normal." Desirae explained with a smile that seemed hopeful.
The trio wandered into the forest and kept walking. And walking...and..."Enough of this! When are we going to get there?!" Elle complained throwing her hands in the air. "Don't tell me your tired Sis...We have bodies that don't feel that anymore." Tina asked puzzled and almost embarrassed at how weak her strong elder sister sounded. "No! I'm just bored! We don't have head phones or music to listen to...I would kill to get a chance to listen to the music of this era." she continued complaining looking down in disappointment. "Calm down, I'll see what we can do when we get to the base...which should be here!" Desirae exclaimed as they saw a large metal fence with two guards in front of it and the door wide open. "It's just begging to be attacked..."Elle commented as they approached the gate.
The two guards stopped them with their guns ready. The guards didn't look like normal military personnel. More like mercenaries. Nothing was uniform about them except their gestures and how they took commands. "You three! Don't move!" Ordered one of the guards. "Oh, please. Bullets won't harm us it-" Elle was cut off by her aunt holding her hand up to silence her. She stepped forward and announced herself; "I am Major Desirae Bell of the Speed Battalion. We wish to regroup and gather information." she spoke staring intently at the guards. "Did you say Desirae Bell? THE Dezzy Bell (decibel) the sound barrier breaker?!" The astonished guard spoke stumbling backward agaist a wall as if he had seem a ghost. "We all though you were..." the second guard spoke looking down. "I thought that was you!" a friendly voice was heard behind the wall. "It's good to see you again Major Bell!" the man stepped out of the gate and gave salute. He was sort of short and wore medals on his uniform. He must have been the only one that looked like part of the military.
"It's nice to see I still have a name for myself after all this time. It's good to see you too Lieutenant." she gave a polite smile and saluted back. "And who are these lovely ladies behind you?" he asked looking at Elle then at Tina. "These are my nieces, Elle is to my left and Tina is to my right." One of the guards fell over and the other one stumbled a bit. "Whats the matter with you?!" The lieutenant asked looking over. "THAT'S Tina the Tank?! The immovable fighter that could take any hit and maintain her horse stance?!" the spooked guard spoke with such a look of surprise. Tina, blushed and looked aside; "I had no idea I was still known for that..." she said quietly. The other guard stood up and pointed at Elle; "And you're Elle the Enigmatic Dancer?! A fighter so graceful and quick that it's like you're reading you're opponents mind!" Elle threw her head back and laughed "Hahahaha! I am famous I knew it!" she yelled triumphantly.

Victor fell flat on his back, nearly K.O.ed. Shaking himself, he looked for Pete, to find him encased in ice. "Pete!" Victor yelled, heating the ice enough to let a small block holding pete slide out. "Hold still buddy. Pregonia!" The ice slowly melted, til a cold Pete huddled close to his master, whimpering and shaking. As Victor held him close, a whirring noise began to develop in the room. Victor turned to see two average sized robots in th eroom with him. "Desagra!" Victor spit, his eyes glowing green. The robots were suddenly cloaked in shadow, and crushed by shadow hands until they were down to the size of pop cans. Exhausted from the effort, Victor lied down. "Man, these small fries are boring. Even though I overkilled, I could take forty more." Victor panted, warming Pete his coat.

The Emma!fire hissed and spat, anhilliating whoever or whatever was foolish enough to approach it. I am...fire? A cold voice laughed within her mind, visible only to her. You are now. it hissed with delight. I.... As the heat intensified, even Hadore's ice wall began to melt under the pressure. The fire rose from the ground, curling into one, redhot white fireball. And from that fireball formed the shape of Emma, who sunk to the ground, face-first, exausted.

Music swept over the landscape, lively and bright. The din of metal cleaving through metal, lasers, echoing incantations and blasts of arcane energy: a symphony in its own right. She wished she could step to the tune and hum along, but war was dissonant and her step irregular, dominated by a pronounced limp in her left leg. “Such a same.” She sighed, sipping the invigorating blend she had prepared specifically for this journey. There was quite a walk ahead of her and it was best she start now, lest she miss the grand finale. Several minutes later and uphill, a sweeping wind nearly swept the coat hanging off her shoulders. She caught it just in time, the medals and honors twinkling as they swayed in the air. Taking a golden star in her hand, she held it close to her eye, examining the small freckles of ice that hand begun to form on the metal. How curious. As she drew nearer and nearer to the conflict, the music grew swilling into an overwhelming crescendo, and the temperature too soared. First the ice, then the heat. Such a stark contrast in so little time, it had to be the result of magic. Taking another draught of her tea and reaching down to adjust the brace at her knee before high-tailing it towards the battle. And all the while humming a nonsensical tune.
(Late I was, but now I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaa~ack! biggrin Nice to see you friends of old and nice to meet you friend of new! ^-^ I always a appreciate commetns and critiques on my writing. Suggestions, anything. And I will offer the same if asked.)

It’s in your eyes! I can tell what your thinking! My heart is sinking too! *glomps Ace* whee It's so good to have you back. biggrin
Special flew through the air, knocked backwards by the wall of ice. Relying on her thief-like reflexes, Special turned her awkward flight into a graceful backflip. She landed with both feet on the ground and one hand propped forward to keep her balance. Just as she steadied herself, she heard the familiar sound of grinding metal from behind her. Twirling around with her arm extended, she slashed her fan at the robot she knew was behind her. The razor edge slit through the robot's arm, sending it to the ground. Trying to get some distance, Special somersaulted backwards. As she pulled out of her somersault, her attention was drawn away from her opponent as Emma appeared to turn into a pillar of flame. Special was starting to feel like she was the only one here that didn't possess any magic.
It’s no surprise! I’ve been watching you lately! I want to make it with you!

*hug Special back* ^-^ Yaaay!
A robotic limb, freshly hewn flew straight and true, aiming to decapitate one last human while it still could. Not willing to watse much movement on theatrics or acrobatics (not that she could) she merely ducked and the limb flew over head and crashed, useless into the lawn. It was a clean cut. Impressive work considering it was done with a fan of all things. Tucking her cane under her arm, she applauded and professed without much conviction, "Bravo."

It’s in your eyes! I can tell what your thinking! My heart is sinking too! Special turned as she heard the voice of a stranger. It seems that another person had decided to join the party. Hopefully this one was also against the robots. Before she could spend too much time in thought, the robot she had dismembered earlier lurched forward at her. Doing her best to keep out of the reach of the robot's one remaining hand, Special cartwheeled to the side as a metal pincer closed around the spot she had just occupied. Mid-cartwheel, Special tossed her fan out, sending it sailing through the air. It easily chopped off the outstretched arm, leaving the robot armless. As she finished the acrobatic manoeuvre, the fan returned to her hand. She quickly turned to face the robot, ready to dodge it if it came her way again.
It’s no surprise! I’ve been watching you lately! I want to make it with you!

What on earth am I meant to do! In this crowded place there is only you! Tiberius slowly walked out of the factory, slamming the metal door behind him. He breathed in a sigh of relief as the irritating siren became slightly quieter. Most likely the robotic guards would only exit the building if the outside of the factory was attacked. They would remain inside for now, just how he preferred. Tiberius felt that he could handle any magic user that threatened the place on his own, since he had so easily dispatched the others. He would wait patiently for more to arrive and enjoy slaughtering them one by one, as he was trained to do.
Was gonna leave, now I have to stay! You have taken my breath away!

“Oh?” Her eye widened as the robot lurched forward and the young woman severed its remaining arm. Such acrobatics were admirable. She couldn’t accomplish such maneuvers even in her hay-day. As she walked forward the constant twinge in her knee seemed even more pronounced. This particular robot model was an old one, thankfully, and was thus immobile; however, there was still a risk of an explosion if it were to initiate a self-destruct sequence. Limping over to the sparking, twitching hunk of metal, she took her cane up and swung it so the silver head smashed through the vulnerable “eye” in the center of its “chest”. Brushing way broken glass, she found the few key wires that were needed and deftly plucked them from their sockets. Removing her upper half from the robot’s cavity, she regained her composure and faced the one with the fan. “I wasn’t quite expecting the encore, but thank you. I’m Ace….Doctor General.” She added as an afterthought, staring past the woman into the pillar of fire. There was an odd shadow amidst the flames, one vaguely human. “Hmm, I suppose we should help her, shouldn’t we.” The thought was originally mumbled to herself, but Ace turned about quite promptly and with an air of authority said to the fan-wielder. “Well? Let’s get on with it. Double-time, move!”
(( .___. Hope this isn't getting too far ahead of anyone. @Special: I'd have Daemon joining Tiberius but he's being lazy...and Ace enjoys her spotlight. :T))
EDIT: Just realized my spelling and grammar have gone down the toilet. Sorry 'bout that.

(No, the pacing is fine with me. biggrin By the way, is Daemon supposed to be a villain, because Tine put him under heroes? You might need her to move him. 3nodding Also, don't worry about him joining Tiberius. He seemed like a behind-the-scenes boss to me. razz )
Special watched as the newcomer dismantled the robot with a simple cane. Apparently she wasn't the only one with a deceptive-looking weapon. When Special was told the stranger's name, she felt intrigued. Doctor General sounded like a prestigious title. Perhaps she was dealing with ex-military, since the woman had clearly sustained battle wounds judging by the eye patch. Feeling that she should be respectful to someone who had just helped dispatch a robot, she replied, "My name is Special." She was quickly taken aback as Ace ordered her to help Emma. She would have done so anyway, since she had watched as her new friend burst into flames. However, she had no clue as to how to deal with the flaming pillar that had been Emma. Suspecting that this Ace was knowledgeable, Special asked, "So do you have any ideas as to how to extinguish her?"
