Fighting, this is what they did. Born in the chaos and tended to the flock. Hunter would continue to thrash, some of his own flesh seared by her efforts but Emma was doing well! Many fell away, turning into nothing but shades of the former. The redhead though, he still remained, jabbing and striking her brother with such speed that in comparison to her, she was only a snail and he the hare. Hunter roared, battling the assassin to no avail. With enough holes and blood loss, he was done for...he stumbled back. Wobbly, gasping, eyes filled with more pain and sorrow that she had felt in so long. This time he had failed her.

Hunter fell back, flattening a large portion of the jungle quickly. Red painted green, tawny sand, even spilling into the great blue ocean not far off. A hush fell over the land....

The assassin though, he was gone like many mirages.

The redhead stood behind her, still grinning. However, as his voice rang out, it steadily changed in tone and pitch. It harmonized with her own, in fact.

"Sucks. huh? You failed him, you failed everyone. You are just some whiny little b***h that hides behind her silver-lining."

The shadowy figure morphed, complimenting her own curvature and attire. The only real difference was they crazed look contorting fine features. A devious, malicious grin from ear to ear, too far spread to be considered normal and behind her eyes was an abyss of madness.

"Ohh poor Emma, she can't feel...Boo-freaking-hoo. Cry me a river and drown in it. Oh, that is right! You can't even cry. You are pathetic, you know? Why do you even exist? You know what...it doesn't even matter. Soon enough I will take over. I am you anyway. I'm the you, you wish you could be. I'm better, stronger, and I don't care for anything or anyone."

The dark Emma stood with hands on each hip, a challenging stance as she readied herself for any form of sudden movement of the broken counter part.

"I'm everything you have ever striven to be, coward."

As soon as Emma came charging at her own shadowy reflection, it would use it against her. The movement was fast, the spin and pivot just as quick as Emma's own reflexes. Pitch tendrils would reach out from behind her, aiming to grab her slender shoulders and force her to the ground by physics. Her lower body would stay in motion, thus, forcing her legs to shoot out from under and Emma to the ground.

Rage filled eyes pierced the white haired doll, angry and vengeful, she had a life-- despite how simple and chaotic it was. Regardless she wasn't trapped in this stupid hell, forever roaming in limbo until needed. Ki began to spiral in the pin-point pupil, like an icy dagger, it shot out energy in a laser ray right at the woman's head. If she could take out those pretty somber eyes, perhaps, they'd both be happy living in the dark. Neither would be alone ever again.



Reverse Shoulder Grab

Description: This attack works great when used against a charging opponent. The user deflects the opponent's momentum and uses it to instead increase their own speed to spin quickly around the opponent so that they're facing its back, Then the user simply reaches out and firmly grabs the opponent's shoulders. What happens is, like being tripped, the upper body stays still while their lower keeps going, causing the opponent to trip themselves and fall to the ground on their backs.

Localized Laser

Description: The user charges their ki in to a single eye and has it localized and condensed by the optical implants. The user then fires a heated laser out of their eye, capable of burning a hole through a stone wall in seconds, but this can only be used once every ten posts. When the user's eye is used to fire said laser, they can't open that eye again until the ten post wait is over.

Emma's arms hugged her shadow's waist, for a second, just a split, it smiled. Comforted by a moment of unity, but it was short lived like all things. Her mirror self turned, torso whirling around to face Emma while her lower half remained the same. It was strange, this doll-like robust. Her Cheshire grin spread, wider and mad laughter sounded even though the teethy maw never opened.

They needed to separate, to divide from the double helix once again. Dark Emma's gears turned, a chaotic symphony set to destruction and turmoil-- even for herself. Heat blasted from her torso and set the mechanical being flying backwards, through the air, somersaulting head over heels until impressive silver wings spanned and her form hovered. Then she once again shot back at the counterpart, jets firing from calves to catapult her like a speeding bullet.



Shift Mode

Description: A technique that not only prevents death by improper connections, but something to further increase the user's ability to maneuver through a battle at closer ranges than they'd prefer. The user shifts the connective circuits in their body, allowing them to twist any part of their body any way without dying or deactivating. The spinning motion can be used for limbs, torso, or even the head, and keeps the user from having their neck twisted to the point of death. Combined with other skills, this can be very deadly, but alone, it is only a safety tool.

Orgia Kai

Description: The user jets backwards, blowing away enemies that are too close with heated plasma. It does minimal damage because the real strength of the skill is found in what it does afterwards. The user's strength and speed is increased by a single rank for five posts, allowing them to use moves with more vigor than before, but only if the move is from this move list. When Orgia Kai cancels out, the user is slowed down by a single rank, and their reaction time slows unless they already have trained eye. This effect last for five posts as well because of the body's need to repair itself after going in to overdrive.

Hover Mode

Description: The user's back opens up and reveals a pair of mechanical wings that are always active for as long as they are open. The wings allow the user to keep their feet off the ground for as long as they are willing to expend E-Rank energy. For D-Rank energy, the user can shoot themselves five feet backwards at the cost of Hover Mode being inoperable for three posts. Even then, they can still bring out the wings as a means of defense, even if its unorthodox to try something like that. Other uses for Hover Mode include using it to get off the ground without moving your limbs, and while it will cause Hover Mode to deactivate, using D-Rank energy without Hover Mode active will shoot the user in any direction they desire quickly.

Jet Boost

Description: The user's calves open and reveal two installed jets that increase speed by one rank for as long as Hover Mode is active, but E-Rank energy must also be poured in to Jet Boost for as long as they are active with Hover Mode. When used without Hover Mode, the cost is only paid to open the calves. When not used for speed, the user's strength increases by one level with only their kicks or rushing attacks that require quick movement. This boost lasts three posts when not being used with Hover Mode, and must be reactivated because of its inability to be held without Hover Mode active.

Like violent tides, they'd clash. The Dark Emma held out two arms, morphed into chainsaw like limbs that would mirror Emma's own pivotal movement- just not to the same effect. Though something was off, there was a dulling in the shadows eyes, and all around them the scene seemed to get brighter. There was a far off thud, something hollow and wooden, but unknown due to their location.

"You...YOU LIE! YOU ARE WEAK! YOU CAN NEVER BEA-"

CRUNCH.

It was a crude sound, an vibrating sickness that seized the ears and quaked teeth. It was a terrible endeavor, in fact, shadow Emma's head popped off and went tumbling at the real one.

BOOM!

The parting gift exploded and reformed on the falling reflections shoulders, she slammed into the ground, dust billowing in the sudden introduction of curvature to earth.

"I-I..." It was almost inaudible, weak amongst sobs.




Chainsaw Shift

Description: The user curls their hands in to fists and prompts the nanomachines to form highly effective and durable chainsaws on both arms. While the chainsaws do nothing special on their own, the user can add them to any combo and continuously deal C-Rank damage on top of whatever other damage they were dealing. When hit with C-Rank ki, the chainsaws will vanish, and the user must summon them again. These chainsaws are known for cutting through B-Rank barriers, but this puts them on a four post cooldown. These chainsaws have more strength than regular chainsaws because of their constant high-speed vibration, allowing them to cut material much easier.

Present Bomb
Rank: C
Description: The user detaches their head and puts it wherever they desire, preferably in the opponent's hands, then detonates it. The explosion can be fatal if the range is closed enough, but this commonly does not kill the target. The user's head reforms instantly after the explosion, but it's a common tactic to simply put the user's head back on their shoulders to prevent a detonation.

Emma's other self laid her head against the small breasts, closing her eyes to a steady thrum of a forgotten heart. That day, Emma's grew tenfold. The sad but touching moment was fleeting, fluttering off like sand in a breeze. All around her the world fell away, much like how it started, to a familiar room. Her blanket torn to shreds, feathers from the dead pillow lay strewn about, and Emma herself is sprawled out, half dressed in a sleepy stupor.

She lives but with a new found realization; the heart is a heavy burden to carry.

Perhaps now she had purpose, poise, but could still forgo every once of pain all the same.
