||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 340|| An Encore?! Aaron looked to his band mates. Neither of them looked terribly happy with the other. Aaron tried to think back to the songs he had listened to in the trailer, but none of them were coming to mind. He had to think of something, though. Arete was waiting, as was the crowd that had formed. It didn't look like Del or Alex were going to help, either. Then, Aaron realized what he had to do. Sound Control! Aaron concentrated on his Ki, and drew deep from his well, imagining several over-laid beats. He had to grab a song that he knew would get Del and Alex to join...The fight! Of course! Aaron began by walking up to the mic and letting loose a series of soft humming noises. He followed this up with a soft "bum bum--bum bum" Right when he was about to sing, though, Alex stepped forward, knowing the beat. He grabbed his mic and sang "Now and then I think of when we were together....."As if on cue, Del took up the female part "Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over...."Aaron continued making the sounds with his mouth, and did not touch his guitar. Del and Alex stood and circled each other as they sang, and it almost looked like that were going to fight. But then the song ended, and they smiled, and grabbed each other in a hug. "Eh..What?" "That's like our jam man!"Aaron looked to see how Arete liked the song. Song Skill used: Sound Control

Arete Muse 
The crowd burst into applause again, though Arete could be heard clapping a little harder. He subtly wiped a tear from his eye as the applause and sound died out. "Sounds excellent. You've passed stage 1 of your training!" He cheered and then gestured to the strange kids. "Oh, and these are the "children of sound." I take care of them here. They're very nice so don't be alarmed. They're kids like any other."

||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| Aaron hopped off the stage so that he could introduce himself to the children. Del and Alex sat on the edge of the stage, talking their way through their problems. "Hey there, kids! Did you enjoy the show?" Aaron wasn't frightened by the children, but he was slightly concerned. He had once taken care of several orphaned kids who were camped out with the Australians. They had disfiguring diseases, but nothing quite as...bizarre as this children. "Do you kids mind if I speak with Arete for a minute?" Aaron pulled Arete aside from the kids and spoke in a low whisper. "Arete. Were these kids...experimented on? I mean...What happened?"

||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| Aaron looked around at the children and smiled at them. Internally, however, he was troubled. Animals have very short life spans...these children...this is not humane in the least. Alex and Del had walked over. Del put her hand on Aaron shoulder and squeezed. Aaron noticed that his fist was clenched. He released it, and started rubbing his palm. "We're really glad that you all enjoyed our show!" Del said to the children. Like a different type of person, Alex smiled and chuckled loud. He grabbed a couple of the kids and lifted them up onto his shoulders. "I was your favorite though, right kids? Ha-ha!"Aaron looked at the kids, laughing and smiling, but he knew in his heart that this would not last forever. All things end, but for these children, the end would come before they could truly begin. "Arete. Thank you. For everything." Aaron looked up at the Muse, and the Muse could see the spark of inspiration in his eyes, burning deep within. "I am ready to continue my training. I need to learn a way to fight. To protect. I realize now that I have this power. This music inside me. I need to learn how to use it to protect people like these children. And if there is any way I can prevent this sort of monstrosity from happening again...I have to do it." Aaron stepped toward the kids, and--changing demeanor--smiled and laughed. "I've gotta do something, anyway. Don't I?"

Arete smiled and gave a nod. "No problem, and OK! Lets teach you guys a few skills ok? Now...I guess the first skill is Ranna. Now," Arete suddenly turned very serious and gripped Aaron's shoulders. He stared intensely into his eyes to get his full attention for what he was going to say next. "I must ask you to use this skill with the greatest discretion. Once you learn it you must swear to never use it, unless you have no other choice." Then the blonde teacher relaxed and took a step back. Taking up his guitar he put his fingers to the strings and began to teach. "This skill works by hitting the opponent with a sound frequency so low it causes them to lose control of their bowels. Now, stronger opponents will be immune to this but for a weaker one...the results can be quite devastating to say the least. I dare not play it in front of you, and I hope you understand why." Arete shivered before moving on with his other lesson. "A more preferable skill to learn is the Sonet. Its simple enough. You play a song laced with good intentions and it causes those listening to be filled with overwhelming joy. Its pretty harmless but for opponents it can easily through off their aggression or distract them. Simply try to play your usual song and use Ki to add in your feelings."
Arete paused to catch his breath before continuing. "Now, after you've learned those, you may ask yourself "Arete, you are truly a wise and powerful (not to mention handsome) teacher, but what should I do if I don't have my instrument? Well aside from your dozens of other weapons and martial art techniques, you could also use the Sound Burst or Slicing Sound skills. With Sound Burst you manipulate the sound coming off of your palm during a punch to hit your opponent with a very faint soundwave. It doesn't really hurt them, but it will disorient them a bit. Slicing Sound, on the other hand, can definitely leave a mark so I trust you'll use it with discretion. Its a little trickier, but basically you use a chop to generate a cutting slice of sound-infused Ki that will travel outward to cut your target. Now...I'm gonna juggle these oranges." Arete smiled and dropped his guitar to reveal four oranges held comfortably in his grip. Luckily a strap kept his beloved instrument from hitting the floor. "And you just aim at them as targets when you get to your Slicing Sound technique." Then without further explanation the Muse started juggling.

By strumming the lowest cord possible, you cause the victim's bowel to release, making them crap their pants in a very horrible manner. Only works against lower leveled opponents.
Sonet | Rank D
Allowing your Ki to flow into the song you play, the sound travels to the ears of the listener and begins filling them with emotions of happiness. Often, this causes a good memory to spring forth in their minds. The tune makes the victim focus on the memory, throwing them off their game and allowing the user to strike.
Sound Burst V.1 | Rank D
The user punches outwards, but intentionally misses the target. A sound wave is released from the hand and hits the target, leaving them feeling a little disoriented for a few seconds, but still able to function fully.
Slicing Sound | Rank D
The user Focuses sound waves on the edge of their hand. They then make a chopping motion at the target. At this level, it will only leave a deep scratch, but at higher levels it is capable of cutting though bone. )

||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| Aaron smiled, glad that he could begin to train with techniques that would wield greater results. "Hey Alex. Come here real quick."Alex sat down the kids, and jogged over to Aaron. Del continued to play with the kids. "Sup, boss?" Aaron pulled Alex over to the edge of the trailer and stood him in place. "What are you doing?""Nothing, man. I just.. I need you to stand there. I'm trying a new technique.""What? Fuq that, man!""Just stand there, man! You owe me." Alex went ahead and tried to walk away, though. Aaron aimed with his guitar, and strummed a low note. Nothing really seemed to happen, though. "That's odd. I could have sworn I understood the concept... Maybe I'll just go ask Arete--"Alex turned to Aaron and walked by him toward the trailer door. "Don't worry, Arrow. I'm sure you'll figure it out. azzhole" Aaron was walking kind of funny, and moved quickly into the trailer. Aaron stood, puzzled, then smelled the distinct scent of human feces, vomited, then smiled at his success. Learned Ranna

||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| Aaron felt a little bad about making Alex s**t himself. But, hopefully the next technique would make him feel better. Alex came out of the trailer with a towel wrapped around his waist. He looked pissed. "Hey Arrow. I've got a bone to pick with you! You just wrecked my favorite pair of pants!" Alex looked like he was about to pulverize Aaron. Aaron stepped backward and began to play a song, while truly wishing for Alex to feel a bit better. Alex stopped his aggressive movements, and smiled. Oh, good. It worked!

||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| Alex looked calmed down, but it was almost disconcerting. He was still wearing that ugly pink towel he'd taken from Arete's trailer, and he looked so mellowed out that he could probably have taken a nap. Well that certainly wont do, Aaron thought. Thinking about the sounds that come when air slides against surfaces, he punched out in Alex's direction, allowing the sound waves to fly past his fist and toward the towel, stripping it from the red-head's waist. The towel flew off and up and around. Instantly, Alex's face grew red, and that mellow look of his was replaced with embarrassment. He leapt behind the trailer before any of the kids saw him. Learned Sound Burst"What the hell man! This isn't funny!" Alex jumped out, his t-shirt barely covering his junk, and threw a punch, just like Aaron had done. A crash of sound rung in Aaron's ears and he was knocked off balance. "It was just a joke dude! Calm down!" Aaron crawled back to his feet. "A joke? You're being a dik, man. Fuq you!" Alex threw another punch, and this time, Aaron side-stepped it. "It's only going to get worse for you if you keep this up, Alex!" The boys were out of sight of anyone now. That was probably for the best. "Man, fuq you. You're not the only one with tricks up his sleeve!" Alex made a slicing motion with a flat palm toward Aaron. Aaron heard as the sound that emanated from Alex's fist sliced by him, severing part of his shirt, and taking off chunks of his guitar. "Dude! Not my guitar! It's already falling apart!" Aaron threw two slicing motions back at Alex, making an X shaped slash across his chest, tearing the shirt away. Alex was now completely nude. And red. He was very blushingly red. Alex stood there in all his glory. Aaron had imagined he would be pissed, but he looked suddenly calm. Then he started laughing. He looked up at Aaron with mischievous eyes. "Well damn, Arrow. If you wanted me out of my clothes so bad, all ya had to do was ask." Alex winked at Aaron and blew him a kiss, mockingly. "But I'm not in the mood right now. Maybe we'll fool around later, babe. HA-HA!" Alex darted back into the trailer, presumably to steal more clothes. Learned Slicing Sound

Arete watched over the kids playing tag while Aaron trained, and when he was finished the blonde hermit just shook his head. "Only that you use these powers wisely. Use them to protect and entertain rather than to destroy...or...something like that. I really don't have any room to criticize." He laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head before continuing his lecture. "Your level up test will soon come, however. Lets just move on to your next set of skills shall we? Now the next skills you need to learn are..." Arete taught Aaron about the Balance Destruction skill, as well as the Muffle and Step Lightly techniques. They would be sure to serve him well in terms of stealth, another focus many Devil's Rhapsody students focused on since they could transmit distracting sounds to various locations, thus hiding their true location while they played a song and set an opponent up for total destruction.

||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| Aaron ran back to the clearing on the other side of the trailer and tried to teach himself the balance destruction technique. All he managed to do, though, was to jump around clapping at Alex, who had been reduced to a giggling fit at Aaron's failure. "Well I doubt that you could do any better!""Hey man, I'm not the one learning the technique. But you're just miserable at it, aren't you?" Alex was laughing very loud at this point, and Del was starting to get annoyed. She kept looking up from her laptop where she was typing something. After Aaron's fifth failed try, Del stormed over to Alex and snapped her fingers beside his ear. Alex fell over, clutching his ear and moaned. "You have to concentrate the sound, Aaron. Try with something simple, like a snap. Consider the sound waves as physical objects that you have dominion over. Remember when you learned sound control? Think of it in that manner, and drive those waves toward your opponent's ears. What will happen is that the sudden sound will throw off your opponent's tempo. Get it?""Yeah. Yeah, I think I do. ||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| "Hey Del, since you're so good at this, do you want to help me with this next technique? It's called 'Step Lightly'" Aaron closed his eyes and visualized Del's response. As he imagined it was slightly sarcastic, but earnest. "Well, Aaron. You're going to have to start learning these skills on your own if you ever want--" Aaron focuses on her words, and began to repel them away from his ears. He could see that Del was still talking, but Aaron could not hear the sounds of her voice anymore. Learned MuffleDel's expression changed. Oh snap. Can she tell that I'm not listening anymore? Oh no-- Del could definitely tell that Aaron had stopped listening. She shook her head and turned around toward her laptop. Then she quickly did a back-flip and landed on the ground. She slid around, almost as though she were on ice-skates, and Aaron watched as she circled him. As she danced, though, Aaron failed to see the fissures of earth that were snaking toward him. They slid beneath his feet, and caused Aaron to fall to the ground, embarrassed. Aaron pushed himself back up to his feet, and stopped using Muffle. "That was pretty cool. I think I can do that! Aaron concentrated on his feet as he took steps, and altered the sound waves so they would slice into ground beneath him. At the same time, it allowed Aaron to move quickly and gracefully. "Hmm..." Arete sat down in the grass thought to himself about what Aaron should do to earn his level up. Almost immediately one of the little girls ran up and put a ring of flowers on top of his head. Then she ran off, giggling. Arete didn't seem to notice, but a second later he tossed one of the apples he'd been juggling over his head and the girl caught it before running off again. "....oh! Whatever happened to that other boy you came here with, that Yue kid?" Arete asked aloud and glanced at Aaron. "He should've been back by now. I get the feeling he's gotten himself in trouble. Go find him and help bring back the food. These kids are going to need more than apples to live off of."
