"Don't fret love...
Kele frowned, thinking for a moment. There was nothing she could do on the spot to prove herself; all of her talents would most likely scare the man and bring the feds down on her.

Instead, she smiled and replied, "No worries, I understand. Hopefully this will be enough for now."

She and Milagre watched the men enter with mild interest and initial curiosity. The crowd that flocked in after them was a bit surprising.

The ocelot snickered and murmured to her master, "I love how they think they could beat Astrayl."

"After seeing him in action, I'm not so sure even I could," she replied. Upon hearing the kung fu guru's invitation, Kele grinned and said, "Sure, I'll stick around. Who couldn't use a thousand bucks?"
...it'll only hurt for a second."

Astrayl smiled at the girl as he started to give numbers to the challengers. "One for you and one for you." Soon a long line was at his door that would stretch down the side walk. "Well I made need more numbers." He went outside and yelled. "FOR ALL OF THOSE HERE TO CHALLENGE THE MASTER PLEASE BE PATIENT!!" As soon as Astrayl was done handing out the numbers he got ready for the exhibition portion. He walked up infront of the crowd in a traditional Chinese gown. "And now a show of martial skill." Out of his sleeve popped his spear. He began to spin and twirl it in the air like any person could with a couple months of training. His eyes caught a glimpse of Molly as he nodded for something. The snake nodded back and slivered into a room then came back out with a glass of wine full to the brim. She threw it in the air and Astrayl caught it with the tip of his spear. Not a single drop touched the ground.

Raya ground her teeth together in agitation as the woman burst in. The blonde woman remained silent as Drusilla spoke, but her temper snapped when the woman poked her finger in Basil's chest. No one, no one, treated her officers like that but her. In a flash she was across the way, hand fisted in the front of Drusilla's shirt, "Don't you dare talk to my officers like that ever again. And I swear to God, if you raise your voice to me one more time, I will punch your damned nose in." She shook the woman once, "Got that?"

Shai nodded to Sansa, then lunged passed the Puma and to her partner when the Chief grabbed the scientist by her collar. Shai caught the back of Raya's uniform in her teeth and pulled her back, letting go and growling, "That's enough!"

Raya looked at her partner and brushed off her coat. A muscle in her jaw twitched as she gritted her teeth and beat back the anger. After a few moments she spoke to Drusilla through clenched teeth, "And God damnit knock next time." Then she was done.

((Don't worry about it, it's fine. And as for the person who was murdered, we'll say it's someone who was at Nemesis' art show for inspiration.))

Drusilla may not have been an officer, but that did not mean she was weak by any means. Narrowing her eyes the forensic scientist wondered just how many ways she could kill the woman without leaving a trace. Damn boys in blue couldn't figure out blood from paint and she was the one getting yelled at?

Dru let out a huff and looked over at Basil. "And they say you're lot are the unthinking brutes." She'd known Basil since the day he'd joined the precinct, back when her own father was the chief. "If that...if you want any help at all from my department, I suggest you talk some bloody sense into her."

"You should have taken the position at the Jeffersonian," Sansa spoke, padding over and waiting by the door. "They even offered you an apartment." The Cougar's tail was twitching at the tip as she waited, clearly annoyed and upset by the entire event.

"It's about loyalty Sansa," Drusilla countered, picking up the mishandled evidence from the desk. "It is good to see you Basil. Mum wants to know if you're married yet." Mummy MacKelter was deeply invested in the private lives of all officers. Drusilla started walking out the door, slow enough that Basil could follow if he wanted to hear what she'd found down in the labs.

(@o8Orobouros80: Try to read the character bio's and what's happened thus far. I know its a lot of reading, but it helpsget into whats going on, at least for me. I- Kele- killed a business man named Sun Azaki. Details on page 3. Also killed someone else, I forgot who haha. Lady Grendle- Nemesis- killed a drug dealer. Magado1- Basil- just transfered in from some Rhino place. I think that sums it up...)

"Don't fret love...
Kele watched Astrayl show off and laughed to herself; it looked like impressive staff work but she knew it was ameatur. He wasn't letting slip how powerful or experienced he really was.

The first wave of 'challengers' are up for a big surprise, she thought with amusement. As the first ten or so contestants stepped up and were promptly beaten down, even Kele was impressed.

Milagre cast a quizical glance towards her master. "Getting a little nervous there?"

"Ha, no. Simply aniticipating a good match," Kele scoffed at the ocelot, but her foot began tapping on the floor.
...it'll only hurt for a second."

After Astrayl beat another 20 challengers he called for a short break. 'Going easy on people is hard. I am not even using 10 percent of my skill at the moment.' Molly slithered onto Astrayl and started to speak. "Astrayl you have 30 more challengers. I hope this rakes in some new students for the dojo. We could use all the money sense the yakuza among other crime organizations keep coming." Astrayl just looked at her and smiled. "Hmm well, none of these guys are really much of a challenge. I hope they are at least considering to join the school." He looked at the clock and noticed his break was over. "Alright who is next." A tall looking man in a wrestler's getup stepped onto the mat. The big man started to speak, "I challenge you to a ground fight." Astrayl just nodded as he tightened his gi. The bell rung and Astrayl let the guy jump on him and made it look like he was struggling. The big guy started to get full of himself and yelled,"The money is mine!!" Astrayl just smiled then grabbed the man palm and twisted flipping the man over. Then Astrayl put the man in a arm bar making him tap out. "alright who is next?"

Ossmen had fallen asleep outside the chief's office. He awoke to yelling. He was told that if he ever heard yelling on the day shift that it would probably be the chief telling off an officer. He picked himself up and then woke Sheila who had knocked out way before him. They proceeded to walk towards the voice of the angry chief of police until they met her and her companion.

Ossmen kept quiet so as to now get on her bad side from the start but he just wanted to get to doing his job. Sheila understood his anxiousness and walked around to Shai. "How might you be this fine day?" Sheila was always very formal despite being such an informally breed beast.

[I'ma get started on assembling the officers and heading over to Nemesis's art show. Magado, please post soon so I know if you're gonna join Jared or join him later.]

Jared burst into the police lounge, a huge grin on his face, and Achak perched on his shoulder. He clutched a wooden clipboard in his hand, with some papers attached to it. At his entrance, several police officers looked up; sturdy, young men, most of them Jared's subordinates. Though he didn't look like it, Jared was pretty high up the police hierarchy. He just chose to ignore his status most of the time, something Achak always prompted him about. It's not that he wanted to disobey orders or anything. It made him uncomfortable to think about all those men reporting to him.

"Good news, men!" he announced loudly, giving each officer his signature grin.

There was a rumble of chuckles across the room, then someone muttered, "For you, good news means a break from Paperwork day." More chuckles of everyone's assent.

Jared was unfazed. "Well then, this is a different type o' good news! We got a assignment, people!"

One of the men stood up; a tow-headed young man, looking like he just got out of college. He was sort of Jared's second-in-command, or acted like it. "What we gonna do, Herth?"

"Very good question, Timothy," Jared replied. "We're doing security duty for an artist tonight! Two hours from now, so let's get going! I dunno yet what the house layout is, so I'll group ya off when we get there! I need an average amount o' men, so I'ma call off the names of who's picked and who ain't, got it?"

They grunted in reply. They had long ago assumed that they could be informal with him, since he was just as informal to them. Sometimes, Jared wondered what it would be like if it was the other way around. He quickly shook the thought off. He couldn't imagine it.

"Alright! Timothy, Harold, Seamus, Avery..." He shot off the names on the list, walking slowly down one of the aisles as he did. When their names were called, the men would quickly hurry over to the edge of the aisle, making a line shoulder-to-shoulder. By the end, there was around twenty-five men, not including Jared himself and Basil. Jared examined the men lined up. Though young and naive, these were the men he'd gone on several investigations with. They were all capable and trustworthy. Jared believed that they were the right men for the job. Himself included, of course.

(omg wow umm 25 men...i mean yeah there was a murder and all....but 25, jeez...lol)

Basil sighed looking to the cheif. "alright fine, well i guess i should get ready for the job tonight" he looked to drusilla and sighed again "as much as i would love to talk with you about my current marital status, i have a job to do tonight, and i must prepare for it." he looked back to the chief and gavea look that said 'you just saved me a lot of trouble'. he walked down the hall to a locker room and gathered up his equipment, and outfit. then finding jared calling off names down the hall he walked in and waited for him to be finished up. walking over to him wearing what looked to be combat armor, and to be about a hundred pounds or more. he looked down at himself then to jared "you ready, i petty much am....but keep in mind this is the basic outfit for the rhino corps, this is the smallest lightest one, you dont wanna see the heavy one." he wasnt kidding this really was the light outfit, and to him this was light, it didnt really effect his speed or movements much.

Nemesis was at her gallery, the door was left wide open for the police to come, she was setting up all of her works on display to be bought, not alone to just be bought but for her to explain things to get the audience more inclined to buy her works or at least enjoy them. She was labeling titles and decorating some of the tables and what not. She sat at the head of her table awaiting the company Mad Hatter sat on her shoulder, silent.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 28, 2011 5:24 pm

[lolz, I guess 25 men was a bit much. But if it was a security job, then we at least need to have enough men to cover the perimeter, and I'm only imagining that Nemesis's place is kinda big. I'ma have Jared split the men up into groups.

Jared left his men to prepare to leave and relaxed for the few moments he had, leaning against the wall and studying the papers attached to his clipboard. One thing he really hated about his job was all the paperwork that needed to be filled out, read, and signed. There was around ten papers for each job assignment, detail, and permission slip. Jared hated to think how many trees they would be wasting.

Then, Basil came around the corner, dressed in what looked like a combat uniform. To Jared, it somewhat resembled those metal armor from the medieval ages. Basil looked Jared in the eye, telling him about his suit. Jared resisted the urge to roll his eyes, instead forcing a grin onto his face.

"Yeah, not sure if I do. As long as it don't interfere with yo' duties, I don't really care," he replied. He pushed against the well, straightening himself up. Then, to the officers, "Ready, men?"

"Aye, sir!" The reply from twenty-five throats echoed off the walls.

Jared gave them a curt nod. "Then let's go."

~ [Time-skip? Now at Nemesis's art show.]

Jared and his squad arrived in their respective police cars. He waited for everybody to assemble, then climbed up the flight of stairs to the address the lady gave him. The door was already wide open, probably to let him and his men know where exactly the gallery was. Jared knocked on the door to alert the woman that they were here. Nemesis was sitting at a large table in the center of the room. Her partnered animal, the crow which Jared and Achak disliked so much, rested on her shoulder. Jared felt Achak stiffen once more, and he stroked her wings once to reassure her.

He gave Nemesis a confident grin. "The police are here, ma'am, just like we said," he announced. "If you don't mind, I'd like permission to guard the perimeter of the building. Are there any particular spots in the house you'd like us to patrol, miss?"

As Astrayl finished off the last challenger, he looked at the clock. 'Wow, time flies by when you are having fun.' He looked at the audience and bowed while sitting on top of the last person. "Thank you for coming to my exhibition. I hope this has at least shown you what my classes can teach you and I hope you all decide to join me." Everybody started to walk out, and as soon as the place was cleared, Astrayl noticed that the girl was still here. "Kele if you still want to fight how about after a art show I plan on going to. Do you want to be my date?" He smiled as he held out a ticket.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 02, 2011 7:04 pm

"Don't fret, love...
Kele was almost sad to see the fighting over, it was always nice to see a good brawl, especially if she was able to be a bystander for once. The mention of an art show struck a chord in her memory, but it took a moment to register correctly. A flyer for it had been hanging at Trihorn's Ink for ages. As a tattooist, art intrigued her, yet for some reason the flyer was ignored.

"I'd love to accomany you," Kele smiled, and for once there was no sarcasm in it. "I have to drop off my bag, but I'll meet you back here in ten minutes." She headed for the door, then paused at the doorway, tossing or bag over her shoulder. "I'll be right back."

Kele entered her apartment and tossed her key on a table. She layed her bag carefully on the floor and removed the beautiful weapon within. She retrieved the sniper rifle and placed it on the gun rack hidden in the back of her closet. She thought of removing the pistol at her hip as well, but that would unnerve her too much.

She went to her bedroom and discarded her jacket and platties, changing into nicer clothes. Kele threw a sweater on over to hide her gun. Milagre looked her owner up and down with approval.

"You look nice, but I don't think you'll be needing the eyepeice," the ocelot chuckled. Kele nodded and removed it like a one-sided pair of glasses.

Kele was back outside the dojo in exactly eleven minutes, peering through the doorway. "Hello, Astrayl? You ready?"
...it'll only hurt for a second."
