"Well, you do have a point there, seeing how, in a way you really are a lap dog," he laughed and bobbed his eyebrows. "I can't say being a rebel scout is the most exciting job I've ever had. And I mean, I've had my share of women, but I think it's that, "can't get her" thing, that keeps me still wanting Myyth. Ah well, c'est la vie, right? Before the grace of god goes I."

"God gives the people hope. And I mean not to say that I believe. I am agnostic and I have an open mind to everyone's opinions, even your's, because that's all your's is. An opinion. And I like to quote religious scriptures because the people who wrote them had to be geniuses, if you think about it, to have converted so many. But, I'm not getting into philosophy." His head was spinning thinking of the endless turns that religion took. He shook his head to banish the thoughts and turned his head to Jaden. "My family is annoying but in the end, I still love them, and I can't get rid of them, so I accept my curse, the Mirimota Pack.

"Haha, done? We've only just started, my mecha. But what we can do is put a pause on. Give each other an "until next time" two finger salute, and be on our ways." Which he did, standing, stretching and yawning long. "I need what some call, 'The Sleep'."

"How am I supposed to talk to my best buddy, if I'd risk my life to do so?" He laughed. "Ah well, I guess I'll catch ya threatening me on the streets or something." He left and felt good about the whole encounter.

The hulking black wolf came in through the hole in the roof on the west end of the building. He was still dripping with sea water and a dark substance he could only assume was the creatures blood that had attacked him. Whatever it was it was no longer a concern.
Shaking himself violently as canines do he sprayed the water all over the room, water damage was not a concern here. When moderately dry he shrank down slowly to his more manageable human form, still showing his wolfen ears and tail. Not having any time to waste he grabbed hold of the transmitter he had taken from the ship and hoisted it down the hall to the last room on the fifth floor.
It was dustier than when he had left it. That was to be expected. He gave only a slight glance at the flat screen suspended on the wall before plopping down in the large wingback chair. He couldn't tell how long he had to wait.
A few hours passed without incident. He was almost out of patience when it happened...

The small electrical current flickered the screen into life.
"I suppose you want something then." said the familiar chilling voice.
"Clearly." Jaden said turning around and glancing at his brother. He hadn't changed at all, still beautiful and still cold, it was strange seeing him again.
"So it would seem." I'zale said folding his hands in front of himself.
Jaden snarled a little but reigned himself in, slowly coming back to a calm indifference. "What did I take from the ship?" he asked smiling just a little.
The young man waved a pale hand in what appeared to be good humor. "It was merely transmitting weather readouts. It took me a bit to consider why anyone would take such a trivial thing when there are far more expensive devices close to it." He smiled yet it didn't meet his eyes, those chilly, ice-blue eyes. "What can I do for you brother? I'm sure you didn't want to just chat."
Jaden sighed. He was going to have to bite down on this and get it over with. "I need help with something..."
The pale Lycan raised a thin eyebrow. "Come again?" The normal smirk was evolving into an actual smile now.
"I need help with something." Jaden spat out, feeling like something was wrenching out of his body.
The room was quite for what seemed like an eternity. The first person to break it was the oldest. "What do you need from me?"
Jaden looked up in slight surprise. That had been completely unexpected. He had thought that he would have to jump through all manner of hoops just to get his older brother to listen, it was frightening how quickly he had given in. "Why?" he asked. "You seem willing to help me."
I'zale sighed, it was a chilling sound even though it was so soft. "Brother, despite what you may think of me and my methods I do love you and Ki as an older sibling is meant to, and to this day you are still my best friend. Last time we met I didn't need to take off your arm, think of it as payment for that."
It was hard for Jaden to process this, he knew that something was wrong but he wasn't about to waste the opportunity. "I met someone with a unique objective."

Jaden made his way into the building from the back alley as opposed to his rooftop entry. His mind wasn't all there but he was at least in a familiar place.
The decor had changed greatly in the past few weeks. He had ended up coming back here more and more since he had lost Myythren. Even with that it wasn't close to being a real dwelling. The lobby and most of the other rooms and hallways were filled with random assortments of furniture and the like, useless things in varying states and eras. Stolen objects from stores or victims littered the area. On the fourth floor he found an old dresser, he couldn't remember why he had put it in there but of course there it was. The scar circle around his neck showed now where the silver necklace he now held had been. It was somehow reassuring his tortured mind to have the trinket in his hands again.

Jaden shrugged his shoulder absently to get the bird to leave him alone. He did not want company and couldn't receive comfort right now. Things were just bad.
