"Yeah, that's right," Avery smiled at Timothy, and his tail started to wag as he sat up on his knees to return the embrace... except that the other boy was slipping. And he wasn't stopping.

"Tim!" Avery gasped, and he quickly scrambled to grab Timothy. He could feel his heart beating rapidly in his chest, the adrenaline spurring his body to move as fast as he could. Avery reached for Timothy's outstretched arms, grabbing onto his wrists and holding on as tight as he could, afraid of the other boy slipping right through his fingers.

Avery quickly pulled Timothy up, and away from the edge of the cliff. He didn't want to be anywhere near there. "God... are you alright?" he asked, a worried look on his face. "Maybe... maybe we shouldn't get so close to the edge from now on." Avery slid his hands up Timothy's arms, then around him, hugging him tightly. He'd been terrified of losing him, and his arms were trembling a little as he held him.

Avery returned the kiss briefly, but then he pulled back. "Yeah... that's a good idea, come on..." Avery stood up slowly, and then he helped Timothy stand as well, supporting him if he needed it. He didn't want to let go of him, so he held Timothy's hand, squeezing it gently to try and calm him down and reassure him he was now safe.

"I think I know the way back down the cliff, but from there I don't know the way back..." Avery started to lead the way down the cliff, going slowly to make sure Timothy could keep up.

By the time they were back at the village, Avery was very tired. He wasn't used to so much exercise in one day. When Timothy asked him if he could stay in his duplex, Avery smiled. "I'd like that," he murmured. "You can move your stuff in here too, if you want. I'll help you with that later, though... I'm tired, I need to go pass out - preferably in a bed."

He put his arm around Timothy and opened the door to his duplex, yawning as he shut it behind them once they were both inside. He kicked off his shoes and pulled off his shirt, climbing into bed immediately. Then he looked at Timothy and held his arms open for him. "Coming to bed, too?"

Avery thought about it for a moment, and then he sat up. Right, as if I could take a shower with someone without thinking about something... else, Avery thought to himself. Although, he wasn't opposed to the idea... so he stood up and made his way over to the bathroom. "A shower sounds great, I could probably use one myself," he said.

Avery had absolutely no problem with getting undressed in front of other people (not that he made a habit out of it), so he stripped off the rest of his clothes, tossing them into a corner of the bathroom and not really caring where they landed. He could take care of them later.

Avery glanced in the mirror, his eyes falling to the patches of fur that were now on his body, and he made a face. He had always been pretty hairless, but now he felt like he had hair all over. He considered trying to shave the fur off, but figured it would be too much trouble as it would just grow right back sooner or later.

He glanced at Timothy, figuring he didn't have to be too self conscious about his fur. Timothy did have more of it, after all... and it didn't look bad on him in Avery's opinion. "It's going to be a pain in the a** to wash all that fur when I grow more..." he commented, sighing a bit. "Now I think I understand why dogs don't like baths," Avery grinned at Timothy. He then reached into the shower to feel the water temperature, and he stepped into the shower.

Avery glanced at Timothy when the other boy took off his clothes, checking him out. The fur was still a little... strange, to say the least. But he figured he could get used to it. Avery pulled his long hair in front of him, out of the way over his shoulder. "Thanks, that would be great... when you're done, then I'll do you." Yes, he said it that way on purpose, and Avery hid his grin from Timothy. The other boy seemed to be more outgoing now, at least when they were alone together... but Avery was ready to make the first move if Timothy didn't.
