"Don't you dare," snarled Europa, chasing after Wolframite. She didn't know what kind of martyr complex he was operating under - didn't want to know, really, she'd watched enough Law and Order to hear Huang explain that psychopaths were psychopaths because they were irrational. "You are going to stay away from Tate and Azzo and Ganymede and if you go around spreading any more of your lies and your filth, I will personally-

She stopped herself there, because the thought hadn't been fully articulated nor did she really want it to be. Instead, the senshi flung out her hand and once more cried out, "Europa deep ocean pressure!" Then, with Wolframite stopped in his tracks, she kicked him firmly between the shoulder blades, knocking him to the ground.

In retrospect, she should have done this in the first place.

She gave him a kick in the side while he was down, for good measure. "Whatever you've convinced yourself of," Hissed Europa, "It's wrong and you're wrong and if you think valuing the planet itself more than the people who live on it is right then I've got news for you."

No telling what that news was. Probably, Europa hadn't even thought up what her big revelation was going to be. Because she was out of time.

Sorry, but some things needed to be done. Quite frankly, he was tired of being the one cowering on the ground. Sure, he didn't want to be here, but he didn't want these guys thinking he was pathetic either. He could take care of himself when he needed to.

Of course, by this point Azzo and Tate had run off toward Europa and Wolframite. Crap! What was he supposed to do?? He should go after them. He wanted to go after them and stop them from doing anything stupid, but he knew the minute he had his back turned Alumo was probably going to jump him again. Sneaky b*****d.

So he took the opportunity present by Alumo being on the ground and kicked him. While he was down. Oh, yes, he did. And he almost enjoyed it.

"Hey, if I'm a girl, then you just got your a** handed to you by a girl. How does that feel?" he taunted, digging the heel of one of his cute white boots into Alumo's side. "And if I'm a boy... well... I sure fooled you, didn't I?" Idiot. Moron. Can't even tell one from the other. He smirked to himself, glad that things seemed to be in his favor now, so long as the two civilians didn't go and get themselves killed while he was busy here.

Not quite satisfied yet, Ganymede kicked Alumo in the face.

Zirconia's voice pulled Ares back to her Court. She turned to face her, seeing the guardian cat in her human form. Bare feet on lava probably wasn't the best idea, but soft paws likely didn't feel too nice either. Even Ares was sweating, and she was nearly naked.

A few Negas scrambled a foot in front of them. Ares cartwheeled into the fray, landing a punch in the closest one's neck. Her foot shot out in tandem, sending another Nega Lieutenant stumbling backward. Both combatants dispersed away, called by Captains, called by something. Ares would have followed them, but something that Zirconia said was troubling her.

The Senshi of Smoke ran back to her comrades. "Leto? Did something happen to Leto?" Her voice was calm, serious, but her head was not as even. Casualties were common in war, but Ares was not okay with losing another cadet. They needed high numbers. The more that died, the weaker they would become.

If Leto was lost, then Ares would help find her again, but Cadet Maia elected herself for the task. A chibi and a cadet going into the fray? Ares had no intention to let them go alone. "I'm going with you. I will clear the path," she said.

With that, Ares tore off into the crowd, kicking and punching where she needed to keep enemies off of Maia and Hypnos.

Tony's eyes didn't leave the fights, though they did drift from one battle to another, wondering where to step in, if he could, what use he could be. He had to do something! People were fighting, falling, getting up, and he was just standing there like a lump? Unforgivable. These were children, brawling like warriors.

He had to help them. He had to do something.

His hand lashed out and caught Ever by the arm when he made to take a step forward. He shook his head, something sparking in the back of his mind. A memory, a feeling. He looked at the younger man, eyes focused, serious.

"Not yet, we'll do something, but not recklessly. Whatever this is, we're here for a reason. They'll tell us what to do, but it's us who decide: it's our lives we're fighting for, and we're caught up in their war. They don't decide what we are capable of."

He looked at Sheldon.

"I know Ever is up for it, but if we have to, will you join us in defending ourselves? The other humans? Even the senshi?" He knew some people thought them terrorists, but not Tony. He knew them too well. Elke showed him that they were just kids, sometimes in over their head, defending things they believed in. Even his own son, though he didn't know. He was genetically required to support these aliens, whether he was aware of this fact or not. He didn't question it now, anyway.

Now he was given the chance to pay them back for everything they had done for him, for the city, and he would be damned if he failed to seize it.

Maia blinked seeing Ares' serious expression, but shook her head. "I don't know," she said, "all I know is that Zirconia heard her and she close. I do not know what state she is in, but she is alive."

Ares said she was going with them and she was clearing a path and Maia could not help but to feel very proud. This was the type of teamwork the senshi needed. The type of teamwork they should all have. She nodded to Hypnos and Zirconia, happy to have the path cleared for them and happy not to be spilt up. She had offered, but she was none to keen on seeing another member or the court battered and broken or worse dead because they did not act as the team that they were.

Suddenly Hypnos was running off and Maia frowned not wanting to loose sight of the chibi senshi. Her being a child did not mean she wouldn't be attacked. She was quick to make the decision, she had said she would help the girl find leopard's eye right and so she ran after the girl feeling torn seeing Ares otherwise engaged. This was difficult, but if Hypnos got hurt Maia would feel it was her fault personally.

"Hypnos wait," she yelled, "you don't know where he is."

Pandora had charged Atlas with that smile on her face - a smile that only grew broader when they were grappling together, hands locked with the senshi's larger ones. She didn't try escaping, she tried pressing him back down into the ball of senshi she'd been beating on previously, but instead Sailor Atlas was moving toward her!

Uncertainty flickered very briefly in Moonstone's brown eyes; the weakling was fighting back, yes...but he was also bigger than she was, physically, and the girl had no idea what he was up to.

Even so, Lieutenant Moonstone wasn't going to back down, not at all.
