While the battle raged on around it, the Ho-Oh gave a weak cry and mustered what remained of its strength to spread its vibrant wings and take to the air. It turned to aim at the mechanical ninjask, which was still occupied by Deimos, Tethys and the two galactic grunts. These new intruders were loud and the legendary bird didn't approve.

Deimos seemed unconcerned, "Fire."

One of the grunts in the back nodded and took hold of a device that looked a bit like a harpoon gun without the harpoon, aiming it at the approaching bird.

As Orion ducked, Seth took the opportunity to quickly toss the master ball over the man and at the Ho-oh.

At the same time the Galactic grunt fired his device with a loud bang. A set of what looked like six metal spider legs attached to a thick cable feeding back to the ninjask flew at the bird with impressive speed. It hit the Ho-Oh hard and the metal legs tightened around the legendary's middle, pinning its wings. With an echoing "GWAAHH" the bird fell out of the air, dropping just an instant before Seth's Master Ball arrived. The open ball soared over the Ho-Oh, missing it by a hair, continued on past the ninjask and down to an unfortunate end in the lava below.

Orion turned and watched as the ball sailed over, only to miss, a grin spreading across his face again. "Man, you throw like a girl! Except Tethys, she doesn't count."

With a tremendous thud that shook the walls of the volcano, the entangled Ho-Oh landed on the edge of the stone shelf currently occupied by the Rockets and the egg.

Deimos grinned triumphantly and let out a bellowing, "Muaaahahaaahaaaaa!!!"

Unfortunately the impact of the massive bird on the rocky ledge had been too much for the unstable volcano and triggered another quake. Stones started to rain from the walls as everything shuddered. More importantly, the Ho-Oh egg, no longer in its nest and free of its ropes, was sent rolling across the jagged rock. It rolled past the Rockets, bowling over any who got in its way and disappeared over the edge of the shelf. It fell.. and with a quiet gloop, disappeared into the lava.

The Ho-Oh's eyes widened in overwhelming panic. Without hesitation, the bird scrambled to its feet and, ignoring its tethered wings, flung itself off the edge of the ledge after its egg.

Deimos' echoing laughter froze as he watched this; his triumphant smile shifting to open-mouthed shock an instant before the weight of the plummeting Ho-Oh pulled the connecting cable to the ninjask taught, yanking the vehicle a good fifteen feet downward. One of the engines clipped the side of the stone ledge, sending the machine spiraling out of control.

Deimos was flung from the controls and toppled over the guard rail. To his good fortune, his cape snagged on a lever, leaving him dangling on the side of the mechanized bug. "Tethys!!!" He shrieked as he clawed at the polished steel. His shaymin, which had clung to his shoulder all this time, scrambled under his cape.

"Rockets!" Kunai shouted, "This is our chance!" She threw one of her kunai knives so it stuck in the ground between the cluster of Rockets, "You!" She gestured at the grunts and agents on the side of the knife closest to the Galactic vehicle. "Tend to the Galactics! Keep them distracted!" Her eyes shot to the remaining Rockets, "And you free the Ho-Oh. If you are unable to get close, use your Pokemon to do the job."

With that, she threw out her own masterball. With a flash of red light, the Mewtwo within charged into the fray.

Things were about to get very active and chaotic, there was no way around that fact no mater how many ways Faleen tried to spin it.
She wanted to waist as little time as she could, but first thing was first.
Her pack was already feeling lighter from the use of several of the tools and rope from it.
This time when she reached into the bag, the grabbed the Pokemon healing items.
Slapping a revive onto two of the balls on her strap, grabbing out two Potions from the bag while she let it absorbed into the downed Pokemon she had in her possession, snapping them into the place and with fast sprays, let the healing liquids soak into the balls, getting her team back into fighting condition.

"You heard her, Go get those Galactic" she spoke to her Pokemon at the Elite's order.
Both hands flinging upward, as thee Pokemon popped open in mid air,
red and dark lights streaked down from the open spheres, sparking up from the ground as forms were built up before the light burst away. Three of Faleen's team stood before the grunt.
The tall Absol with the dark stare, thick claws gripping the volcanic ground. the Umbreon with his head ducked below his shoulders, rings glowing with a determined intensity, and Banette all limb and trailed body flowing and waving hauntingly around his newly evolved form. awkwardly shaped eyes narrowed as his odd teeth turned down into a frown "BA, Banette!" he called.

Leaving her pokemon to dart toward closing of the ledge, Absol and Umbreon firing off another round of Dark Pulse, while Absol chanced an Ice beam at the people on board.
Banette however, was nearly hit by one of the Charizard's flame throwers. snorting in annoyance, he turned to use his Torment on the flying lizard, to stop that flamethrower nonsense as much as he could.

While they did this, Faleen pulled the grapple gun she had used previously, not bothering with more rope this time, she simply loaded a hooked spike in, and took aim at any of the Galactic on board the out of control airship.

For a brief moment, Damon was unable to comprehend what had just happened. The egg had just... Fallen into the lava. All of their work trying to get it out, gone. And the Ho-Oh had thrown itself off the ledge in an attempt to get to it.

And suddenly, everything was moving back in high speed. The ninjask had hit one of the ledges, and the man in the cape was dangling from the guard rail. And on of the Elites was giving the rest of them orders. Keep the Galactics distracted... Well, he could do that well enough.

"You heard her. Badru, Halima, let's make things chaotic for those assholes," Damon said lightly, flashing a quick grin in the direction of the Umbreon and Espeon. After this, he was going to make sure at least one of his Pokemon knew a ranged attack. Or could fly. This was really starting to get ridiculous.

"Badru, Sand-Attack! Halima, Helping Hand!"

This time the reaction was instant. The Umbreon turned around and furiously began to kick debri in the direction of the ninjask. The Espeon used the distraction to offer her aid to the Absol nearby, powering up its attacks.

Between the tremors rocking the ground, the shouting, and the veritable stampede of pokemon going on the offensive, Aila found it difficult to concentrate on keeping herself still. Faleen's earlier attention to her wounds gave her some confidence, though, and so she struggled to contribute to the fray. Her left arm seemed to be completely immobilized and even something as simple as sitting up appeared to be impossible, leading her to question the exact extent of her injuries. The pain, at least, was dull in comparison to earlier - or perhaps adrenaline was numbing it? No matter. With her right hand she counted off the pokeballs on her belt; from what she could gather, the situation seemed urgent, and she was determined to help somehow.

A flash saw a Venasaur to the nearest place that would contain its size, the grass-type immediately wilting in the terrible heat. She looked around in search of her human, distressed when she finally found the girl sprawled on the ground, bleeding from a number of large lacerations, and barreled over to her with terrified cries.

"Help!" She summoned all of her breath to utter that single word, relying on her expression to make it clear that the party to receive the Venasaur's help was the other Rockets, not the trainer. Fleur, trembling from the suddenness of it all, turned towards the battle at hand, hoping to receive some hint from someone as to what she should do.

Nyx wouldn't be able to do much about the Ho-Oh's captive status, not with her relatively grounded team. Distraction, however, was a game she could play. The Agent sent out the un-fainted pokemon on her team: Charmeleon, Aggron, Blastoise, and her Raichu, and her Pidgeot, which she quickly dismounted.

"Tazieff, fire fang; get that Lucario!" Nyx held back her other pokemon, in preparation for whatever else the Galactics might throw at them.

The Charmeleon growled, torn between its now obsolete instinct to protect the Ho-Oh, and its newer urge to obey the human who owned it. There was a loophole to this conflict... Fighting Galactic fulfilled both demands. Tazieff's growl turned into a hiss and then the 'fwoosh' of fire as flames licked out from the sides of its mouth; The lizard bounded across the shelf towards its intended enemy, firey fangs bared.

When the teal haired woman sent out the Starmie, Nyx knew what to do. "Tesla, return thunderbolt!" The electric rodent was getting tired of all this fighting. So many scary things so quick... But water types were supposed to be simple... So the Raichu's cheeks sparked and electricity arced out towards the water type.

Luckily he was on the side of the knife that was directed to distract Team Galatic. Otherwise he would be looking forward to another earful from his superiors. Leonard didn't care much about the mission though. In fact he almost forgot why they were down here in the first place. He just wanted to kick their asses so bad.

"Brick!" He cried out as the Snorlax took an Aura Sphere. Somehow, he barely hung on. But Tiamat got electrocuted by the Starmie's Thunderbolt and Leonard had to call her back.

"Omega, Hammer arm the Lucario! Seance and Brick, attack the Starmie!" He sent out his Metagross in Tiamat's stead and the big metallic robot swung his fist down on the Lucario. His other two Pokemon charged at Tethys's Starmie, Seance aiming a Sucker Punch and Brick about to flop onto it.

Fleur watched the scene as it unfolded. A lot of the Rockets seemed to be attacking the guys in the floating thing and the people inside it. Was that the target? It seemed as good a target as any, and so she aimed to encircle their ship-thingy - and hopefully do some damage in the process - in her best Petal Dance, an attack she knew to be one of her human's favorites.
