Petro gave a snort of derision as the tree fell, still riled up at the time out comment. His form shifted again, and he shook his head, his tail flicking in irritation. He bent to retrieve the present before gathering the rest of his discarded things. He gave the others a nod in thanks for their encouragement, a small smile on his equine face, glad that he had done better with the tree than he had the ghost sheet thing back in the train.
He spied the scratchings Tahki made, "To the sea we go then. But do we start moving now and wait for Xi to catch up or do we wait for him?" he glanced quickly towards the direction of the battling ghoul while he chucked the present box into his backpack. Once it was safely inside, he slung the backpack on one shoulder while he hefted the marid's things with his other arm. Turning to the ghost dog, whom the marid was leaning on, it occurred to Petro, "Maybe you can keep Yaya's weapon in your wrap?" he suggested to Tybalt. "She'd be able to get it faster from you than from me."
The monster horse gestured for Tari to come closer, remembering how the sphinx mentioned she disliked the cold. He turned to Astra, "Y'see anyone when y'were up flying?" he asked. Maybe there were stragglers, he hadn't seen G, or the mummy, or the ghoul with bright hair (and a really good aim), or the ghoul with the snakes. Where were they, he wondered.

Raziel had not been lucky enough to get a sea pass, and was now concerned as to where he would go. Walking up to the others, Raziel shifted back and forth on his feet slowly.
"What about everybody else? I mean, I don't have a sea pass, and I know some others don't. And why not take the most direct path, following the train tracks? At least there's little chance of getting lost!" Raziel was starting to get kind of loud, but it didn't really matter as long as enough students could hear him.
"Unless you want to break up a large group of us and make everyone an easier target, I'd suggest we all stick together... And go the direction most direct that everyone can go." Raziel finished his statement by crossing his arms and subliminally puffing out his chest to appear bigger.
((if i'm not mistaken, only Natalia, JP, Tybalt and Xi have cards :B ))

Tari happily joined them but didn't like the idea of going to the sea. She had wanted to transverse the moutains but she didn't want to go alone. She would be out numbered and out manuvered by the locals if she didn't have any help.
She listened to Petro talk. He was asking about others? Tari looked around, scanning for anyone else other than the ones she had set out with. Xi had fallen behind and several from the car were missing. If they stopped and looked for them they'd lose time and not get to their goal.
"We can't go look for them or wait, otherwise we'll lose time and give the enemy even more time to weaken us," she looked towards the trees.

Reading Tahki's answer, Haku nodded. "That was my concern as well," he said to Raziel, though the others seemed agreeable to it. "But Tybalt had a point earlier: if we don't investigate a possible route that might be the shortcut, we might lose a valuable chance at cutting our travel time down." Or adding to it, if it failed somehow. He too was still aware there were only several of them with cards, one of which was resting in her tent.
"Hmm . . . While on the subject of travel, shouldn't we be trying to obliterate our footprints? That might bring worse JOYs upon us," the inugami pointed out, having glanced back to see their mess of tracks.
And Jack dammit, wouldn't you know it another tree came out! Haku growled.

(Oh right passes x D)
Tahki blinked as Tari was attacked thus proving her point about being an easy target if they split up. And besides she hadn't been lucky enough to get a sea pass. Oh the lose.
Tahki couldn't really do anything to help Tari at this point but watch. It made her feel a little sick to watch Tari get attacked like that and not be able to help her comrade.
Tracks! Oh right. They had left quite a few of them. The trees were on to them!

Tybalt gave a shrug, though it was a little difficult to tell in his natural form. "I don't mind. Best to put it so that it's easy to grab though. Like have the handle sticking out or something." He was a bit worried that he wouldn't be able to get her weapon to her in time. Then again, he guessed he would just have to stick a little closer to her side. Worse comes to worst, he'd toss it to her.
He shook his head at the smaller boil. "I dunno'. I have my doubts that they'd separate the group. I mean, others could be taking this path as well and I don't think it would be given to us as an option if it was impossible to move through." He stated. He didn't like the idea of the group splitting up either. Especially if anyone came under attack. However, he was determined to check out the water route. He didn't even know if the card was related, but it was worth checking into it and if it turned out that only the four were able to pass, then he would head back with the others, onto another route and just toss the card. He didn't need anything that would separate them and only cause more problems.
He was about to speak up again when two more trees appeared. Jack damn it! If they were going to move they had to move soon! They were attracting too much unwanted attention!

Raziel just looked at the ghost dog. When had the 'staff' ever tried to keep the group together? Raziel still wasn't seeing the good in going a route that may turn everybody back, forcing them to waste precious time in getting to Sandy Claws. The most sure fire route to their final destination, where nobody would get turned back was to continue on their path of the tracks.
Shaking his head, Raziel replied, "I have to disagree. Besides, an option can be given without knowing it's impossible."

More importantly, was it so drunk it couldn't tell he wasn't a tree?
This was the reason Haku never imbibed alcohol. It . . . did things to a person. The kick seemed to work so, not dignifying the thing with a verbal response, he proceeded to try and kick at it again - gods knew he was going to be washing his leg for a few days after that burp.
