"Not from this distance," Alessa admitted, though honestly there were so many people meandering about...she stood up from her seat, blowing curls out of her face before she began to walk between the seats towards the masses of people. She could see decently, but since many of the others couldn't bumping seemed inevitable. So she muttered apologies as she tried to get closer to see what was going on and if she could help.
"Anything I can do...apart from glowing, which I can't sadly," she asked. Her height was becoming a problem at this point. She couldn't see over various people's heads, so though she knew there was someone else in the cabin, she couldn't see who, and she still couldn't see half the students even though her eyes were adjusted some. She had forgotten how annoying being short could be.

There was an audible silence after Merope had crashed into Igneous from the stranger. "Are... you students okay?" Thankfully the rather clumsy but united efforts of the students gave the stranger plenty of backlight to work with. "Aha, there it is!" Someone might have felt a hand at their feet.
At first, there really was no noticeable difference when suddenly there was a flash of blue light, and - oh. Well there we go.
He seemed considerably calmer, for someone who's jacket was still stuck in the door. "Ahh yes.. who I am." The stranger straightened his collar. "Professor Caelum, your career services counsellor. You know, for those who are looking to graduate."
There was a blank stare at him from all around the cabin.
"You have got to be kidding me, none of you want to graduate?" Now he was more or less attempting to fumble with his jacket and balance the glowing source of light in his hand at the same time. There was an audible riiip sound - the Professor made a face - and the train car slammed once again, firmly shut, behind him. He took a couple of wobbly steps. "Urk... easily motionsick, sorry. Anyway, has anyone seen something sort of orange, bushy tail, slightest hint of a nervous breakdown? I heard there was some ah.... turbulence in the train."

"Alessa, I'm sorry... people have been tripping over me and-- ack!" Alwine covered the area where her eyes would've been at the bright light of the orb.
"Sorry, Professor... I'm just a first year, I haven't even thought of graduating... sorry, that's so bright..."
Alwine stumbled to her feet and got a closer look at the Professor. "Do you need to sit down? You look a little sickly, ah, sorry for saying so..."

(Jack will be idle from 10:15 to midnight, IDK why, but our net DIES here at work during that time.)
Blinking back the spots that appeared in his eyes when the Professor's orb lit open, his eyes adjusting to the new light source apart from his own. It helped with the glow that he and other students were giving off, making the internal area of the car more illuminated, almost like an aurora effect, greens, blues and hints of off-white flickering in all places around them.
"We did hear a odd sound earlier." Jack murmured softly, looking behind him, which pulled away some of the green in the false aurora, following his vision. "I'm not sure where it went off too. . ." he idled for a moment, hearing the familiar sound of Zwei from behind him. "My feline-partner hasn't either. Belladonna . . .?" he called out, wondering if she had.

She'd threatened a staff member? Whoops, that was on her 'Don't do that' list. Best not let him see her in case he held it against her. Not that hard actually seeing as she was one of the few students that hadn't made her way over to him. Sinking deeper into the shadows she let the others answer him, she hadn't seen anyone orange with a bushy tail that she could remember anyway - though Headless certainly covered nervous breakdown along with Witchy. Those ghouls had issues.

Against all odds, and in spite of matters that should have proved more immediately important (girl in lap) Barth heard the one word that would snap him right out of a nap. Graduation.
Graduation. He had only been enrolled recently and the word meant all the things he valued. An end to homework, mainly.
...oh wait this guy was talking about working after school. never mind, false alarm.
He volunteered anyway, "There was a bit."

Rain's jaw dropped. He was cute. Really cute, even if he was small. She had never heard of this professor though. Was he really in charge of their graduating? Could he.. decide their fates? Or was he simply supposed to help them? "I want to graduate," Rain stated quickly, so fast that it sounded like a single word. "And no, no bushy tailed orange thing. Is it what caused the lights to go out? Do you know when they will come back on? I had a game planned." She glanced back apologetically to the passengers though most would not be able to see her. She also felt horrible for just insulting the professors.. in front of one of them. Of course, she didn't know he was one of them and he.. he seemed nice so far!

Merope carefully untangled himself from the other students, still rubbing his face from where he had crashed into Igneous. "Graduate?" He echoed, peering up at the professor, "But I've barely even started yet! I can't graduate unless I know stuff. Or can you?" This made the student pause, considering the possibilities of becoming a professional slacker. Hmm...
Oh, right, didn't he ask a question? Merope pointed unhelpfully at Alessa, then to Rain. "Noooo, but she's fluffy and she's in charge if that helps?"
Elsewhere in the world, Red was giggling to herself.

"I heard the thud. And something did brush against my wingtip when I was still seated,' Igenous added. she blinked owlishly in the light from the orb.
"I don't know what it was though. I didn't actually see what it was." She didn't admit her eyes were closed in the darkness.

Tsetsiliya squeaked as she felt a hand brush her boot, and the bright light nearly blinded her for a moment. She blinked against the new light source for a moment, staring at this newcomer. Oh, so he was a professor? Career services? Like the rest, she remained silent when he asked about if anybody wanted to graduate.
Well, she did, but right now she was more concerned with adjusting at the moment. That was fair, wasn't it?
"I.. I have not seen anything like that, Professor." Her cheeks reddened, and she nodded with her gaze to the floor when she heard Jack chip in. "I do not think I heard it, whatever it was, leave.." Was it still in the compartment?

Upon hearing her name (and being much more relaxed now that there was some source of light) Belladonna straightened up in her demon seat, totally unaware that Bartholomew was probably nodding off.
"I-I haven't seen anything... Orange. But I think I heard something scratching... Could it be that?" Granted, she hadn't seen it but hearing it was pretty close... Wasn't it?! She wanted to be more helpful, but she couldn't actually recall from where the sound had originated from, so she merely continued to sit on Bartholomew. "Oh! Did you see it!?" She asked, turning to him, her eyes wide with possibility, noticing he was paying attention now.
"..........But I want do want to graduate!" Belladonna added meekly afterwards, also finding the professor cute.... But he WAS a professor, so she mostly just titled her head at him and waited.

"Of turbulence," Barth clarified.
He had been a little distracted throughout the entire bump in the night process, admittedly. The part about a nervous breakdown was alright, as long as they weren't talking about the train.

"Yes, yes, all in due time." Came the absent response to the graduating queries. "You can come to my office after the holidays and -urk." Professor Caelum cling to the seat for dear life, turning a little green - thus crossing him off the undead and ghost list - too bad the train car bathroom was preoccupied.
"Anyway, form, filling out. Office." He groaned. "Paper bag?!"
Unfortunately whatever he was going to do with said paper bag was replaced by a distant thump coming from the train car next to theirs. That grabbed the professor's attention almost immediately. Or slowly, as he wobbled, and then stood up, finally gaining enough balance to head towards the other side of the car. "You students stay put-" Yes, well, they were kind of barricaded from doing anything OTHER than staying put- "I'll go check this out."
After the second or third stride, he seemed to have shrugged off most of the nausea, passing by some of the students. Until he got to Rain. The professor gave the undead first year an absolutely unreadable look as he stared right at her, before shrugging it off and continuing on.
The door clicked after him and he was gone.

Sheeki looked at the staff member he had helped and stared at him. Really, he just stared. Graduate? He entered the school year late, he couldn't possibly think about graduating yet! He was dragged to the school right after he had come to exist; he had no clue on what he wanted to do for a career.
Before he knew it the Professor Caelum already left the cabin to chase the source of the thumping noise. Maybe it was the orange cat-thing he was looking for.

Oh no! She was done for. He must have heard her. Her unlife as student council president would surely be over when they returned to the school. He gave her a look that would have sent chills down her spine had she been alive! It wasn't like she lied though. They were mean!
"I.. um.."
Well, there was no use crying over spilled blood, not that her tear ducts even worked. "Mer.. Merope, do you think I could use your tail to run my battleship game? It may be long enough that you can still play if you want, as long as you keep your back to me." She hoped she got his name right. She had studied the roster and tried to keep notes on what she could find out about the students joining her car but she didn't have the best memory. Undead brains didn't have the juice or power to work as well as others. She wasn't very smart compared to most students but among zombies, she was an intellectual.
