Mask: Rai’s mask covers most of the back of his head, and resembles that of a fox’s skull. Canine teeth protrude from the front of the mask, which is the top jaw of a fox’s mouth. These teeth don’t quite reach his forehead, allowing the rest of his hair to be seen.

Personality: Rai is very easy going and relaxed. He does not believe in many of the things the other Hellfire’s stand for. He only stays in order to protect his Fantasma: Akane Chi. Rai cares very deeply for Akane and would do anything to make her happy. He detests Chi, the other side of Akane, because everytime Chi appears, it means that Akane has been hurt, which pains him as well. Rai is very protective of Akane, and would die for her if he felt the need to. He finds Akane’s shyness a pleasant personality characteristic, and thinks that it is adorable when she stutters. While he is on friendly terms with the other Fantasma, the only person he truly cares for is Akane. Rai tries to stay beside Akane as often as he can to prevent any harm to her, and to avoid any of her blood from spilling. He also tries to keep her sanity in check, because he knows that the things that Chi does makes Akane feel horrible.
History: Rai does not remember much of his human life, but does know that he was killed in a hit and run accident while crossing the street on a dark night. He had wandered around the town until a Soul Reaper found him and sent him to the Soul Society. He had never had a reason to fight, as he grew up in one of the less violent parts of Rukongai. Due to this, he never became a Soul Reaper. One day, Rai’s foster mother got very sick, so he was sent to find somebody who could make a remedy for her. Along the way though, he got lost and ended up in one of the dangerous parts of Rukongai.
Having no fighting experience, he was killed by a random brute who wanted to see blood spill. After becoming a hollow, a thought appeared in his head, and he realized he did not want to die, and he did not want to live his life as a lowly hollow. He began to consume other hollow, until he became a Vasto Lorde. He was later found by Hollow Ichigo, who offered to give him more power. Even though Rai did not completely agree with Hollow Ichigo’s methods and ideals, he went along with him. He figured that if he did not like where he had arrived to, he could leave at will. But after that, he met Akane Chi, and became very close to her. Not wanting to leave the fragile girl alone, he became her Diablo, striving only to protect her from harm.
Weapon: Rai carries a curved blade that is fairly normal sized, but grows larger in his Resurreccion form.
Weapon Abilities:
Rai’s blade can shoot out bolts of lightning, that are not deadly within the first hit, but can be fatal is his opponent is hit multiple times. His blade can also send out “shockwaves” that are followed by a loud crashing sound, which resembles thunder. Another ability is to concentrate spirit particles in the area, which he can use to create something like rain, which he uses to heal Akane or Chi.
Despertar (resurreccion): Estrepito, Kitsune
