A whisper...
Rosemary sat up with an almost insane giggle. She ran her fingers through her hair before plucking the petals off of the rose in her hands. "Cascading petals like the tears of the Earth," she continued to sing. "Woe is the Earth, woe says I." She brushed a petal along her cheek. These weren't roses. She was the rose. These were her life. Roses were not flowers, they were wonders of the world. She threw the petalless rose in the air and watched it drift slowly back to the ground. With the petals around and on her, she let out another almost insane giggle. "I am a rose. I am Rose." she murmured. She looked up at the sky and sang again, "Rose, wink to me and let me know! Rose, ambassador – stealthy messenger. Rose! you waft a cheeky charm, beneath your regal poise. regaling her, you are the dance!"
Into a shout.
