Nam crawled out from under a rock, where he had been having a pleasant (and very chilly) nap. He looked over at the lake and saw Livianna and Ciara peering through the icy surface, a tentacle poking out of the water nearby and drawing in the snow. He lazily meandered with his strange, eagle-legged walk. He stopped a few yards away and tucked his hands in his pockets. "See you've met George-y Poorgy."
(( xD This conversation was too awesome. I had to pop in. Sorry. ))

Liviana's mouth gaped open in a silent scream as she gripped Ciara's arm like a vice. The squid's tentacle flopped around awkwardly, splashing droplets of freezing water around the two. After some time (Liviana assumed because he was not used to writing often), the tentacle slid away, revealing a few lines of text:
e L H Lo. m Y
na ME iS
NERIUS.
ver WH oe s a i D it iS
Geo rgy-
oRGy Po
L i e D.
The squid began shaking his tentacle angrily.

Liviana picked up a twig and started to rewrite the squid's messaged. After some time, she deciphered it:
Hello. My name is Nerius. Whoever said it is Georgy-Poorgy lied.
She gulped. That explained the tentacled fist. "Nam, I think he doesn't like that name," she said, worried.

Ciara clenched onto Liviana as well, waiting for the giant squid's message to become clear. She was so intent on the writings that she hadn't even noticed the newcomer until he spoke.
Ciara jumped, startled, and for the first time in a number of minutes tore her gaze of the wiggling appendage sliding across the surface of the ice. "Oh Nam. It's good to see you," she blushed lightly. "You seem to be feeling better" she finished with a small smile.
The sound of water sloshing over the ice brought Ciara's attention back to the actions of the giant squid as he angrily shook his tentacle before it disappeared into the water.
She cocked her head to the side, untangling herself from Liviana to scoot along the ice, closer to the message.
"Nerius?" she pondered, looking for the squid she presumed to be lurking close by. Having no luck in locating him, she chose instead to raise her voice in hopes that he would hear her. "IT WAS NICE TO MEET YOU NERIUS!"
Ten or so feet from the hole he had previously made, Nerius once again shot a tentacle up through the surface and waved before continuing on his way.

Liviana watched in amazement as Nerius waved good bye, and his tentacle finally descended below the ice for his swim away.
"Well, that was interesting," Liviana said bemusedly. "I wonder if the ice is still good to skate on with all those holes? I'd feel dreadful if we went ice fishing though," she said out loud, thinking of the angry tentacle above the icy surface.
The snow continued to glide down.

Nam laughed heartily and waved playfully at the retreating squid, but sure not to get within tentacle range. "Sorry, Nerius. I meant it in good fun." Once he was sure the squid was gone he took some steps closer. "But he is a Georgy-Poorgy, see? He kissed the girls and when I came he ran away."
Nam scratched the back of his neck nervously as Ciara's attention came to him. "Yeah. Good to see you too. I'm feeling great, thanks." He looked curiously between them, wondering if he was interrupting anything. He wandered out onto the frozen surface, just far enough away that they could carry on a private conversation without him hearing or talk to him in less than a yell. He started drawing big backwards letters and symbols of to Nerius. "Seems sturdy enough to me!"

*Quickly scans the grounds, and sees Nam standing on the ice* Hmm... *Struggles with the decision to talk to him or leave him be, then finally decides she is too curious a being* Nam? *Walks along the ice until standing beside him* If you don't want to talk I can leave, but I was wondering if you were okay. Why did you run off so quickly from class? *Looks worriedly at his face, studying for anything out of the ordinary*

Nam heard foot steps crunching in the snow and searched out the source. As Naomi approached he got down and lay spread-eagled on the ice, to distribute the weight. He looked up into her inquisitive but concerned face. "Well... it's rather hard to pinpoint. Basically the whole of my existence thus far. But I feel immensely better at the moment. Better than I have in a long time." He decided to wave his arms and legs and make a snow angel to prove his point.
He was not going to disclose the details to her, and hoped she wouldn't ask much more. But he did feel bad about not giving away information. Only he felt this pursuit was partially emotionally driven, and he did not care to be fussed over. By most people.

Ciara smiled at Nam and tried to refrain from letting loose a giggle or two. Who would have thought that she could many anyone nervous?
Since she and Liviana had fallen into a comfortable silence, she turned her attention to Nam once more, watching him write in the snow bank, cocking her head at several of the symbols whose meanings she was not sure.
Ciara fought a blush as she tried to find the courage to speak. "Do, do you think the ice is think enough to skate on? Liviana mentioned it might be fun, but," she trailed off, not sure how to approach the subject of her crippling clumsiness.

Nam pulled his head off the frigid slab below him and looked at Ciara over yonder. "Skating?" He knocked on the ice. "... I don't think --- ...yeah, I bet it is thick enough. Want to try it?" It wasn't thick enough by itself, but he thought he knew a spell that could toughen it up. And if he didn't, he'd look it up, if that's what Ciara wanted to do. Although, Liviana may know it, too.
"I guess we'd have to find some skates though." He assumed that's what the 'but' was about. Or make some. He was already considering how to manipulate some forks or table knives and attach them to the bottoms of shoes.

Dorian had not rightly explored the open areas at Hogwarts... except the areas he had seen from afar whilst flying to the Great Hall on his broom on his first day of class. He passed the courtyard but decided he'd rather go out the great wooden doors and to the fields. The air was so crisp and wonderfully refreshing, Dorian decided to sit down and read..leaning against a tree. Moments later he got the urge to go down further. He spotted other students by the lake and decided to join them. It was still light out.

"Wow, who sent out the party invitations?" Nam sat up and looked around. There was a total of at least five students randomly coinciding by the lake. He hoped that all these young people meeting in a snow covered yard wouldn't think to start hurling snow balls at each other, but most of them seemed more the academic than athletic types.
"We were just trying to decide how to get some skates so we could make fools of ourselves on the lake." Nam saw a book in Dorian's hand at his side and pointed at it. "May I ask what you're reading?"

Dorian smirked at Nam's words and showed him the cover of his "Advanced Transfiguration" book. It was a pretty light tone for its contents, or so Dorian thought.
"skates? ...um... yeah, maybe I could find something in here...or if you have them somewhere else, can you not summon them?" he inquired, almost naively and hoped his suggestions could be of some use. He sat himself down on the ice and flipped through a couple pages((of to bed right now... will catch up later))

Nam smirked back and crawled over to his side in an almost feral manner. "Not a bad idea, but I don't have any, I've never skated before. Ciara said Liviana was suggesting it though, maybe she has some." He peered over Dorian's shoulder at the book's contents.
So far he saw how to make pumpkin's into carriages (that explained Cinderella. He wondered who on earth could have dreamed up something like that.), pea pods into canoes (this must be a transportation section), leaves into lanterns, wrappers into handbags...
He glanced up at the girls and silently gestured for them to come over. He figured if they didn't care to, they wouldn't.
(( Alright. Good night, sleep tight, don't let the wee buggies bite. ))
