What made you join?: Got an invitation, and though I'm part of a few other gaming guilds, none of them really do a whole lot. I figured I'd try another and see how it goes.
Favorite video game: Chrono Trigger
Why: Nostalgia, story, simple battle system, characters, etc. It was one of my early intros to RPGs, and though RPGs aren't my favorite genre, I still consider Chrono Trigger to be one of my all time favorites.
Favorite video game character: Mega Man X
Why: Hard to say. I do like regular Mega Man, but there's something about X that I've always liked. I like his games better, and I like being able to power up with armor. Also, there's the simplicity of Mega Man in itself: run, jump, shoot.
Favorite system: Super Nintendo.
Why: I could list all the games, but I'll just say it holds all my old favorites that I could play over and over. Still have my SNES and I still plug it in from time to time (though less and less as they bring out my old favorites on the virtual console).
Extra things: Hello! I'm a 27 year old married to a 26 year old pharmacist, and we both play games when we can. I've been playing 'em since the Atari days (though the Atari was bought by my Dad for him and my mom; my brother and I ended up playing it more). Nowadays I don't seem to have as much time for games, though we keep buying them. We've got a large stock of games we still need to play, and for some reason I just keep turning on old ones I've already played (or putting on Super Scribblenauts and seeing what words work). Sooner or later I'll move on to the new stuff and catch up with the rest of the video game world, but somehow I doubt I'll ever catch on to online gaming. Oldschool all the way, I guess.

I, too, am a big fan of Megaman X. Been a big fan since I played Megaman X on the SNES when I was a little boy. Kept up with all the games till Megaman X6. Was kinda put off by the sudden 3D element that was introduced in the series.

What made you join?: I recieved an invite and it seemed like the gaming forum without all of the trolls or idiots.
Favorite video game: That would probably be a tie between Earthbound and Oblivion.
Why: Earthbound was such a unique game with such mastery of story telling, game play, and humor that it is virtualy irrisistable. Oblivion is, in my opinion, as close to perfection as any game has gotten yet. It has so much to offer and it is very well done.
Favorite video game character: Drizzt Do'Urden. He counts, right?
Why: He was just as wonderful in the games as he was in the books.
Favorite system: Super Nintendo
Why: It is my belief that most games owe what they are today to the games from the Super Nintendo. Had many of the classics not existed than many newer games may not be what they are today.
Extra things: I still play with Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards at the age of 19 and collect stuffed animals (most notebly my giant stuffed sheep), I adore Dungeons and Dragons, I play more Oblivion than is healthy for me, more than anything else, however, I love to write, read, I am a pushover in real life but kind of an insufferable individual on the internet, I play percussion, I like things to be organized, and lastly, I still adore the Dragon Ball Z games even though I have been told they are terrible and a lot of them just very loosley follow the manga.

And yes, I'm trying very hard to filter out the trolls and haters. I understand that everyone has their own understanding of games in general and I respect their opinions. It's fine if you don't like the way a game was made, but trashing someone for stating their opinions is unnecessary. If you don't give a s**t about this particular persons opinions then why the hell should we care about your opinion on that particular persons statement?
I know that this guild is lacking in a wide variety of topics as of late and so I ask that all of you make topics that you find interesting. Who knows? You might hit a gold mine topic and spark a massive discussion. If it hasn't been discussed yet on this forum, feel free to take a step forward!

What made you join?:Â A very detailed guild invitation, which impressed me so much I just had to join!
Favorite video game:Â Guild Wars Series
Why:It just works for me. I love all the settings, the characters were like they came straight out of a book, and I love the professions, especially since we can use skills from 2 classes.
Favorite video game character:Â Emperor Kisu from Guild Wars.
Why:Â He's a minor character, but he really left a huge impression on me. He seemed very kind hearted and noble amid a corrupt ministry, and it's obvious that he cares for his people.
Favorite system:Â PC
Why:Â Because I can both work and play on it.
Extra things: I'm primarily an MMO gamer, so I'm really looking forward to playing with other people here!

Even though they're from completely two different games but in the sort of same time setting I always think John 117 (Master Chief) and Samus Aran would make a great couple. Oh and be awesome partners at kicking alien a** together.
