"I can't really leave you to die, now can I?" Spirit said with a soft smile. When she'd seen the man hurt Alex she'd felt something tug at her heart for some reason. She turned her attention back to the man as he lunged again and she blocked him with the firepoker.

Alex watched as the man lunged at her. He grabbed his sword and sliced off the man's arm completely off.

The man yelled in pain and jumped back. He glared at the two and disappeared in to the shadows. Spirit looked around, wondering where he went.

Alex looked around in the shadows. "Don't let your guard down...he could be anywhere."

Spirit nodded, gripping the firepoker tightly in her hands. She was tense as she looked around, her brown eyes looking over every little thing. She sudden felt something grab her, making her drop her weapon to the floor with a loud clank.

Alex heard her weapon clanging on the floor. He quickly turned around to look at Spirit.

The man held Spirit to him, his arm trapping her arms to her side and his other hand knotted in her hair, forcing her head to the side. The man grinned at Alex, "Well, at least drinking from one of you is good enough." he said.

Alex stabbed the man in the foot, and considering the size of his sword, it completely stabbed his entire foot. He glared at the man. "Let...her...go..."

The man clenched his teeth in pain, his hand tugging Spirit's hair. Th girl flinched, "You'll have to kill me first." he said, biting the girl's shoulder and drinking some blood.

"With pleasure." Alex said as he quickly pulled his sword out and stabbed the man in the head, not leaving a single injury on Spirit.

The man give a single gasp and his fangs slipped from Spirit's flesh. His eyes rolled in to his head as his arms went slack and he fell to the floor, dead.

Alex pulled his sword out and watched the gush of blood exit from his head. He looked back at Spirit. "Are you okay Spirit?" he asked, worried about her saftety.

Spirit nodded, a hand over her bite mark, "Yeah, thanks for saving me." She said, looking at the man.

He nodded. "Your welcome." he said as he walked up to her and looked at her bite mark. "Doesn't look to bad." he said smiling at her. "Come on, lets go find Glory and Elon."

Spirit nodded and followed him out of the inn. When they stepped outside, the sun was shining again and the village was gone without a trace. Elon ad Glory were grazing in a field nearby.
