Nodding, Moira let go of her mothers hand and walked back over to the group of boys and men, "Momma says I can go now, she's gonna pick me up at 1." she repeats what she heard, for the most part. She wasn't a parrot after all. Glancing back to where her mother had moved to, she squints a little, watching her. The girl hadn't really seen her mother use her powers that much due to her being outside so much, so this was a rather interesting sight for her.

Markus hadn't noticed the commotion that was going on until he watch Moira go over to her mother. "Oh my." He said a bit worried before Moira came back toward him and had repeated what Syth told the girl. "Ok dear. We should be going now before anything gets out of hand." Taking the girl's hand and went made his way towards the door with Victor and the kids behind them. Before heading out the door Markus took one more glance to the others hoping nothing to bad would happen.
Soon Victor was leading the way towards the car, helping Markus buckle the kids in before taking the wheel. With everything set, Victor drove off leaving the school and heading towards their home.

“Whats wha?” Ialu followed Zahur’s point and then giggled at what he was pointing at. His shadow wasn’t mirroring him, in fact, it was standing at attention like in the military, and he could tell Playmate was looking at him. “Oh, dat Playmate. Can do lots of things, yes!” A healthy chunk and quick swallow with peanuts dripping from his cheeks, he gave Zahur a fiendishly cute smile. “Wanna see what he can do, yes? He help meh get cara-maples.” People were STILL leaving! That was so saaaad… Party hasn’t even started yet and already they going all “poof”? Ialu can fix that! “Playmate?”
‘Yes?’
“Help meh keep people in party? No fun with no one here.”
‘Understood…’ The child-sized shadow slithered into the nearest darkness to blend and he slithered along the dark parts of the auditorium, smoothly evading the surrounding radar of those sensitive to things “abnormal”. The upside to being a shadow is that you can automatically teleport wherever there is one. So… from outside the auditorium doors, Playmate slammed the doors shut. When those doors slammed and echoed throughout the auditorium, the other escape doors slammed in a one-by-one fashion (some slamming locked, which was all fine to Playmate). Ialu wants to keep people in..? So be it… Shadowy claws wrapped around the shadowy handles and twisted, the metal visibly twisting grotesquely (and audibly to those sensitive to sound). Every single door, he broke the locks.
Now they were staying…
“Carrie”, anyone?
Ialu, totally not understanding what he just asked Playmate to do, nodded approvingly. “Playmate do good job, yes! Now people can stay! More fun times to be had!”

As Edmund lay with his head in Sonnet's lap he dreamed. Though it wasn't dreams really, but flashes of memories. Mainly they were of a long ago Halloween Ball involving some other boy who was scared of him, and a girl. He could feel himself wondering why the boy was afraid of him and his brown knitted in worry as he viewed it in his unconscious state.
The only other images Edmund saw were of him in his garden and one of him and Sun curled up on the couch together when he was little, watching a movie. After that he began to come back into consciousness.
As Edmund's eyes opened he saw he was surrounded by Aiden, Cedric, Deskri, and... his head was resting in someone's lap. He tilted his head back to see who it was and a cold spike of fear shot through him to settle in his gut. In his disoriented state all he could recall of Sonnet's face was the Spring Ball when she had been different. He sat up suddenly and scrambled back to get a good look at her giving her a wide-eyed stare. It took him a couple seconds, but it finally registered with him that he was at the Halloween Ball, and this wasn't the evil girl he'd seen last time. His breath came out in a light pant as he recollected himself and he dropped his gaze away from Sonnet.
"I um..." Edmund felt awful for how he could only assume he'd been looking at Sonnet. Full of fear and maybe a little bit of accusation. "Sorry." He murmured softly with his eyes still on the ground. As he lifted his gaze he looked around at the group. "What...happened?" His head was still aching dully, and he brought his hand up to rub it lightly.
As Gavin scanned the room he happened to notice the weirdness that was going on with the doors. Yikes. Whatever that was it couldn't be good, and now they were all trapped in the room. He wondered if anyone else noticed. He was about to investigate when his friend Sergei fell into his line of vision. Sergei was dressed as a roman soldier and Gavin couldn't help but think, but wow did it ever suit him. Sergei looked fantastic, and suddenly the doors didn't matter so much anymore. Someone else could worry about it. He started making his way over.
"Heeey! Sergei!" He offered his friend a wide grin as he closed the distance between them.
Kei couldn't help the little growl that escaped him at Gavin dragging Ask out against his will. Then Ask was asking to get up and Kei realized he was still clutching at him like a possessive bird. He slowly released his hold on Ask and stood up to offer him his hand. It didn't really even occur to him to be sheepish over clutching at Ask, it was really the most natural thing in the world.
"I'll kick him for you later Ask. I just don't understand why Gavin is..." Kei made a frustrated noise. He couldn't even place the world for what Gavin was being, besides that Gavin was being a Gavin and it was on Kei's nerves. As he helped Ask up, Kei noticed the Edmund situation, followed by the strange thing that was going on with the doors and his face settled into a deep frown. Something strange was going on here. Kei didn't like it.
Instead of releasing Ask's hand, Kei kept a tight hold on it and began pulling him over to Isolde so he could get her too. "Something is wrong. We need to get Isolde." He wasn't going to let something happen to either of them. He scanned the room and i t seemed as if River had left, but Kei saw Hayden standing over on his own. The logical leap in Kei's mind was he needed to grab Isolde and pull both Ask and Isolde over to Hayden, safety in numbers and all that.
Willow gave a little shrug. "Why would I pay attention to him? I'm talking to you." She gave him a little amused smile. Was Theo worried that she'd pay more attention to the other boy if he came over? With that thought the amused smile widened, but instead of commenting on it she decided it would be in her best interest to answer Theo's next question. That loaded question filled her stomach with a bloom of butterflies. He was asking her about dancing, and trouble, and the way he asked it....well it just made her pleasantly nervous.
"Well, pirates do dance but, I've never done it before. But as for the trouble..." A slow devious smirk spread to her face and her eyes lit up mischievously. "I'm more familiar with that. What did you have in mind?"
Nadia shot Adeline a sidelong glance, watching her more carefully then Hank as he spoke. Adeline seemed shocked, maybe even nervous, which puzzled Nadia. Didn't Adeline know she had the upper hand? It seemed obvious to Nadia. Hank had been so intrigued that he'd come over, bearing drinks. Nadia had watched the nature shows, she knew that the male bird had to court the female one, often pulling out all stops to interest her. In the end though, the female always had the final say, she was the one to be impressed, and the one to decide. Therefore they had the power, and Nadia didn't see how it could be that different with humans.
Nadia gave her cousin an encouraging smile as she reached out to take her drink. "Thank you." She turned to Adeline. "Yes, our mothers are good friends. It's not blood cousins though." She turned her attention back to Hank, and sipped her punch slowly before speaking. "Hank, this is Adeline and Sorrel." She gestured to each before returning to sipping her punch. She did hope that Hank didn't mess this up.

Ask accepted the help up somewhat warily. He too noticed that the doors had slammed shut but he wasn't concerned, he could Travel out if he needed too. He was about to go over to Edmund to see if he needed healing when Kei started pulling him over to Isolde.
"Kei, do you think Edmund was hurt?" He didn't mind being pulled towards Isolde though, because he didn't think she should be alone either. And he thought that this hand holding and being pulled around thing wasn't going to end anytime soon tonight.

Unfortunately for Kei and Ask's best intentions, Isolde no longer had any interest in them. She was looking past Gavin, at the tall guy he was talking too. Now that was a nice costume. Maybe if she buttered Gavin up a little he would introduce her?
Hank gave a slight bow when the girls took their drinks. "It's very nice to meet you, Miss Sorrel, Miss Adeline." His eyes never left her. Please, please, please don't make yourself look like an idiot.

Silas looked from door to door as they slammed shut and locked with a bit of a grin on his face. "Tha's purdy cool Eeahloo. Now peeple will stay 'n has fun!" Silas giggled and rocked back and forth, successfully getting whatever was left of his second caramel apple stuck to his bunny suit. "Wherr you get Playmate?"
"You went to get punch and just passed out... are you alright? Does your head hurt?" Aiden reached out to run his hand over Edmund's head, just to check if there were any goose eggs from the fall. "We should probably--" Aiden trailed off as the sound of the doors slamming shut and the locks breaking interrupted his train of thought. "...perhaps first we should figure out how to get out of here." He looked to the main exit, already feeling a tiny pinch of emotion rising in the base of his stomach. Was that fear?
Hayden jumped a bit, the sound of Playmate's handiwork was a good deal louder for him than the average Meta. He looked around, trying to figure out what on earth had caused the doors to slam and break. He couldn't see anything, which lead him to remember a certain incident as a toddler. The Bad Things his mother talked about were probably around. Even though he had a hatred for Deskri he found himself subconsciously moving closer and closer to his brother. Later he would reason that it was because his brother was surrounded by people, and it was safe with other people.
Deskri looked away from the situation at hand, having seen something move out of the corner of his eye. The next thing he knew, the doors were slamming shut and the locks were breaking. If this wasn't classic Bad Thing, he didn't know what was. He felt his heart rate increasing and his hands begin to shake. "******** hell. I knew this was a bad idea... s**t always happens at these events!" He ran a hand through his hair nervously, beginning to mull over what powers he had that could possibly do any good in escaping.
He could port himself and one other person, but then everyone else would be trapped. He doubted his shadow manipulation abilities were good enough to break a door down, and so he was left with virtually nothing. Great, something's out to get us and I can't do a ******** thing about it.

Sonnet looked oddly at Edmund and his reaction for just a moment before passing the thought as he was just frightened about waking up in some strange girl's lap. She winced at the sound of doors slamming before adopting a rather annoyed look on her face as she turned to look at the doors.
"You should probably go and lie down," she said to Edmund, still looking at the doors as she stood, wiping crumbs and such off of her skirt as she did so. "But first we need to reopen the doors. That snapping sound was something going on with the locks, I'm pretty sure of it."
She looked at Cedric and nodded at him.
Cedric had a fearful look on his face as Sonnet nodded at him, not because of what was happening persay, but what she was internally asking him to do. He hadn't TRIED doing this purposefully, usually it was brought on by anger. It was the REASON Kyle couldn't come, but the more the thought of it and the more he looked around, it was the only real option.
And he knew that Sonnet was going to be there for him in case things got bad.
He stood and looked at the small group he was with for just a moment. If they wanted out of there, he needed to do this.
He walked over to one of the doors, the closest to him and tugged on it as a normal person would after hearing the slamming and cracking. No need to bring attention to himself after all. After a few tugs, he stopped, and laid his arms to his side, and took in a deep breath.
He called upon that feeling, that powerful cold feeling he felt when the changes started happening. Slowly but surely he felt the metallic core spread through his body, and he could feel metal plates popping up through his skin. He could feel the anger coming next, but, this time, the first time ever, he pushed that anger away, and opened his eyes once more. They were not raged, just filled with purpose. He knew what he had to do.
He slammed his hands onto the wooden door, already feeling them dent a bit at the impact. He pushed, conjuring all of his new found strength into the shove. The sound of wood splintering began to take place, as well as the groan of metal hinges giving way. He was becoming dizzy, the power draining him quickly. In a last ditch effort he stopped pushing and rammed a plated shoulder into the door, and it finally gave out, landing with a resounding crack and thud outwards towards the hallway.
The rest was darkness.

IT had take na while to find Rontu, but when he did he only shook his head, chuckling. The tiny little thing was curled under the snack table, his ghost costume doing it's job as a blanket. He was asleep.
"Not much of a party person, are you?" He crooned softly, scooping the boy up in his arms gently and turning when he heard the slam of doors. Confusion broke out and he watched one person break at the doors that refused, only to succeed-and pass out. He could see another laying there near the snack table, a small crowd already forming, and Dem rubbed the back of his neck. With all these goings-and ex-con like him would definitely look bad if police came about, so he figured he'd leave early. Sides, Rontu was fast asleep in his arms, gripping the wolf's jacket and snuggling into him.
Dem sighed and smiled down to him, just a bit, before moving to the open doors that were barely hanging to hinges before crashing down... He gave a worried look at the one laying there-exhaustion? He wasn't sure, but giving a glance to those around, he took the only exit, stepping around the male and crouching to check his pulse... Ah, he was alive. "Someone get a nurse."
He mentioned aloud, moving Rontu to hold him in one arm, the boy's head dozing against his shoulder as he walked through the empty halls....The hairs at the back of his neck rose, he could sense dark magic, binding the other doors.....
He laid Rontu down in a corner, grabbing a black tendril-like thing from one of the closed doors, and though it stung to do so, he ripped it-and the door- from it's hinge, opening another for people to leave from. He dropped the door and did the same for two others before his arm cramped up. He headed back to Rontu and scooped him up, rubbing his sore wrist. "...Let everyone else figure it out. I'm taking you home."
And with that, he headed out into the cool parking lot, the boy snug against him to keep the cold from him-which was rather easy, since wolves had high temperatures.
Laying the boy in the backseat he made sure he was all snug and buckled in as well before he started the car and looked over his shoulder, driving out of the lot and down the street. What a night.
