(...Are you guys done with the rolls? D: Alright, I think we're behind enough that everyone should assume Freddy's sand castle exploded and he was disqualified, because he added some 'magic' from Freja's store to 'make sand grow' but all it did was explode.)

Being it in Emery's nature, she was easily persuaded to different thoughts and ideas while at the same time also being stubborn enough to stick to one as fact. In the present moment, Emery wasn't sure what was fact or what she was to argue other then a certain creature being her own on the grounds that she had seen it first. Of course, in the kindergarten she never went to, she was taught this was not correct so she was indeed troubled. The more she watched, the more troubled she became. Just like all her animal friends, the man spoke to it in a conversation like manner, as though the dog was replying to him in words that Emery couldn't hear – just like she did. So, in an easy turn of emotion, Emery was looking at the man in a new light, a light that gave idea to possible connection in understanding. They both talk to things while other people just never seem to hear it. Maybe if she tried hard enough, she could hear the dog too? At this point, Emery was knitting her fingers together in her always nervous manner as she had the compulsive need to be doing something at all times less bad things start to happen in her sunshine and rainbows mind.

Now she was confused, very confused. If this wasn't her dog, was her dog indeed lost? She was certain at first this was her dog and that the man had come along and taken it from her. But, maybe her dog was here and she hadn't noticed it slink away to be replaced by this already owned dog? Did that make sense, not really, but it became clearer and clearer to fact as she rolled the thought about in her head. Yes, she did have a dog because she remembered thinking of having a dog, why else would she be thinking she had a dog? So, her dog is missing because it isn't here. Smiling as the idea dawned on her and the sand castle idea left, she looked down at the frightened animal.

”Yes, my dog is missing.” She clarified as she eyed the animal in a dazed like fashion, watching it curiously like a child might eye a dead animal. It interested her to a degree that wasn't healthy for most, it was just Emery's way of making friends. ”What's wrong with you, boy?” Emery echoed the man's words, not so much to the animal nor the man, but to herself. And, as always, Emery got her reply without needing help from an outside source. In fact it seemed as though the dog had spoken and it brought a toothy grin to Emery's expression. The dog had informed her that it was windy at the beach and that it was a little chilly. Nodding in understanding, she looked at the man, moving right along as though he had heard the dog speak as well. ”Yeah, it's kind chilly at the beach, isn't it?” Looking away, she glanced in the direction of the dead side of the beach where it lacked population of people and seemed to be split by a divider of rocks. Something about it looked like fun, dogs like fun so that must be where her's is. The blue dog; the blue dog that Emery had made up previously and now thought it logical enough that it was her dog actually. ”Well my dog ran off.” Cutting back to him, she smiled in a manner that suggested great happiness. "We can find him."

Celeste smiled as Usagi intoduced herself, and her smile grew when she agreed to try frisbee. "Frisbee's not too bad. It's all in the wrist. And it's nice to meet you Usagi." Happy that Usagi hadn't outright refused Celeste took a couple of steps back and held up the frisbee. "We'll start close until you get the hang of it." She tipped the frisbee to make sure Usagi knew she was going to throw it, then pulled the disk into her body. Extending her arm she let the disk fly in a stright waist high path to Usagi. "So, did you sign up for the swimming competition?" She asked after throwing, hoping the girl wasn't against small talk.

The girl Florence was interacting with had wandered off, much to the creature's own disappointment. She had been enjoying the interaction.. Her current companion, the dark-haired male, had done little outside of riding her. At least the small child was – ah. AH? The elephant's ears spread out and wide, her trunk curling upwards and swaying from side to side in uncertainty. Though it did no good, her small eyes had widened to show the whites before she still completely, her large feet digging into the sand to find some solid ground deeper in. ..There it was. A vibration. A message. She took in ever nuance to the odd sound, trying to decipher the usually clear message with difficulty, until something became clear. It was so very like the distress calls she had on the savannah – too much alike the calls! Danger? Why wasn't anyone running? She couldn't sense any panic from the surrounding creatures..! Little did Florence know, was that across the island there was an elephant in a rushed panic as the monkeys played a very cruel prank on him from above. That was deep inside the forest, though, and not on the beach. Ah, but Asian elephants and African elephants had issues communicating such distresses to each other – or at least this pair did. In but a moment, Florence had turned jerkily and went into a rampage across the beach, NPCs and characters alike fleeing in sight of the terrific, frightened beast.

~And so begins Florence's rampage!~

After some difficult feats performed by one of the random passersby, who had claimed himself to be a trainer of all things beast, Florence was soon calmed before anyone could have been hurt. The animal was now breathing heavy and swerving her head around to study the surroundings, coming to acknowledge that there really wasn't anything dangerous around and, yes, she was safe, like she had been before that panic attack. Her ears lowered, as did her trunk, but not before checking to make sure Angelina had managed to stay ontop during the running. With some help from the stranger, she was lead back to Gaston's side – ah. She paused as she studied what appeared to be a mound of sand.. That she had trampled over.. The animal, using her trunk in a classic, cartoon-elephant fashion, stuck a stick to the top of the abandoned mound. Ah, such creativity!

With the elephant calmed down and all the sandcastles done (or destroyed), it was time for Gaston to judge the sandcastles!! The man, who was completely oblivious to the danger his pet had just caused moments ago, had turned to start his trek across the beach, his cape flowing by use of the midget hiding behind it to flutter it so gallantly. After going back and forth, sparing either a nod or a frown in irritation, the man came back to his Florence's side to take the megaphone Gladice had discarded. He rose a hand to get everyone's attention before making his announcement.

Although all of your sandcastles weren't the beauties they could have potentially been, I still have to proclaim the castle of Emery Traiylor to outrank every and all of the others! Every one of you should learn from her! Honestly, I saw some trying to pass off footprints and piles of sand as a castle!! How dare you waste our time on such sorry attempts?! I should have your HEADS!” He stopped to breath, swiping a hand over his hair to smooth it back into place. Ah, such the frustrations of a true artist! ..Could Gaston really have their heads? Why, it was his island! Of course he could! ..Maybe. One can never be too certain on Nirvani. “The Swimming Contest will begin shortly. Everyone should gather at the shore and go when I say.” He stopped and raised an eyebrow, giving everyone a chance to begin..

1.. 3.. GO!!!” And so started the Swimming Competition!

"Alright," Usagi said in reply to Celeste, "It's nice to meet you too," she added. She caught the frisbee a bit clumsily but it could have been worse. "No, I didn't, did you?" she returned the question before throwing the frisbee back to Celeste. She then looked to the mayor as she heard him make an announcement, "It looks like it's about to start though," she noticed.

Integra laughed when the guys fumbled the ball. Now the girls had a point Sweet! "Thats what you boys get for trying to take us beauties on." Integra smiled as she bent down and picked up the ball. Her boobs practically falling out of her bathing suit. She took a few steps back and started the ball off in the air again. She set it up so Leila could slam it on the boys side and score them another point!

Did he really? Hayden hung his head in shame. Chalking up a talk with an NPC servant about Gaston's... state of mind made him miss the announcement for the sandcastle contest. Then again... with that elephant running wild... he was kind of glad he hadn't tried. And slightly terrified of elephants now. How did the animal miss all the sandcastle builders? He didn't know... but thanked the goddess everyone was fine. With the swimming contest starting now, Hayden didn't have much to do, so he settled on shuffling through the sand until he found a chair to sit in. Hey, he needed to lounge now.

"Romane" the blond smiled in greeting when she saw her partner. Though technically, with her raise in status, Rachel was officially the other's superior. Romane would probably forget that fact and still be frantic... but the officer was working on that... Her plan would be working. "Ah yes... there is" said Rachel, glancing over to the animal. Sophia had barked lightly at Romane in greeting, used to the redhead. The husky had taken a few steps away to plop on the sand and proceed to roll in it a bit. Rachel's eye's drifted to the animal a bit, who enjoyed her roll for only a few seconds because the elephant's stomps not too far away made her jump and bark at the beast, until she actually saw it. "Sophia? What's up with-Crap." Raising an eyebrow to the noise and looking back, the woman's jaw dropped as the sandcastles were destroyed. "...Of all the people she can't shoot him?" mumbled Rachel looking at the imbecile of a mayor. Seriously? Romane never thought of shooting the one person that DESERVED to ACTUALLY be shot? "Let's just hope next year he doesn't bring a shark." Would Gaston do it? Rachel wouldn't put it past him.

Lucas had pretty much dwindled on looking around the water until it was time for the swimming contest to start. He was thinking a lot today. Which almost made him miss Gaston's announcement when the contest started. Last year had been a disaster... of course an elephant stomping around didn't exactly spell success either, but Lucas had learn to block a lot of Gaston's antics after the Masquerade. If it didn't threaten him immediately, let it slide by. Now he was standing at the shore, waiting for the words. He was so going to win this. Or try a lot anyways. When Gaston finally let the contest start, the boy headed to the water and started his route, praying to cramp or cruel luck got in the way.

Who would've thought half the festival was over by now... and Camelia had only lounged all the time. It was what she wanted to do after all. For a while she had wondered why the hell there was an elephant there in the beach. Honestly though, she didn't give it much thought until she felt the resemblance to an earthquake focusing to her left at the area where the sandcastles had been built. "What the-" the brunette had sat up to look in that direction, her eyes widening behind her sunglasses as the elephant rampaged around. ...Who's idea was this!? Of course... Camelia hadn't the chance to know about Gaston properly. Aside from crazy mayor, she was clueless to this craziness, which left her in shock in her little beach towel.

Celeste nodded as she bounced from foot to foot, the idea of the contest was making her a little bit nervous. "Uh, yeah. I signed up, though I think I'm regretting it." She said with a lopsided smile. This was the first contest she had enetered where she would be on her own. Atleast she was an decent swimmer, now as long as she didn't choke.

Gaston's voice had Celeste looking up and around. She had gone completely still. She only moved to throw out her arm to catch the frisbee the Usagi had done a good job of throwing. Turning back to Usagi she smiled apologetically. "Yeah, I guess I gotta go." She tossed her frisbee back toward her towel, the frisbee sailed evenly, floating gently down to land only a couple feet away from her stuff. "Thanks for throwing the frisbee with me. Your last throw was really good. I hope I'll see you around!" She gave the girl a little wave before heading into the water to start swimming.
