Maxwell notice that it was getting late. He probably should make sure that she get back to the dorms.
"Let's finish our meal then I'll walk you to your door." He told her.
He pulled her towards the picnic table. This time he sat with her and got the chocolate strawberries from the little basket he had.

Tritch smiled and followed him back to the table. She watched him bring out the chocolate strawberries he had and she chuckled lightly. She waited for him to start eating, and once he did he took on of her own. "These are really good. But you are a good cook though." She said, grinning at him.

Maxwell smiled. He had help.
"After my older brother left for the officer school and my dad and aunt became busy I was the oldest in the house. So one had to make the meals and it was the country so you couldn't go to the restaurant every day." He told her.
Maxwell's hard life when he was younger pushed him to do those kind of things. The teacher picked up a strawberry and put it to Tritch's lips.

Tritch nodded. Her friend back in the human world was like that. Tritch always thought that she was to alone, and her parents didn't pay enough attention to her like they should of. But that's how life can be, so you can't always complain. Maxwell and her both have an okay like now, even if he is a monster, and she got left at a boarding school by her best friend. "Well it still is pretty good. I mostly lived off of school food. It didn't taste to great. That is probably why i can't cook." She said shrugging lightly. Tritch took a bite of the strawberry that he put up to her lips, then smiled.

Maxwell chuckled. There was a good thing that they were together then.
"Well at least you have me now and this school also has good food."
Maxwell grabbed his own strawberry and started to snack on it.

Tritch chuckled. "Yes, that is very true." She said remembering the two times she was in the lunch room. One time she sort of made a new friend, and the second time she almost got hit with fire. After remembering that she let a small frown seep onto her face for a second, then got replaced by a smile.

Nothing escaped Maxwell. He saw enough of Tritch's frowned. He let a growl slip. Someone made his mate upset. He or she would pay. First he had to control his wolf.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
It was only the start of his questions.

Tritch raised and eyebrow at his question. She was gong to tell the truth, without reveling it. "Hmm? Oh just a memory. It's fine." She said. She wasn't a tattle, at all. She found that out the hard way when she was little. She might change the memory, to say it was of her best friend, but it depends on how he went with her response.

Maxwell listened to her. He knew everything was not alright. She wouldn't have made that frown if it was. Though he wondered if he should continue his questioning. He didn't want to have a debate or argument. She probably didn't want to as well. He would try once then back off.
"Then why did you frown? You know you can tell me."

Tritch just shook her head and sighed. "It's just a bad memory. The past is the past." She said, skirting around the real reason. She then smiled at him, and took his hand. "Don't worry, it's fine." She said, and squeezed his hand before letting it go.

Maxwell nodded. He was true to his thoughts and wasn't going to push it. Though he still really wanted to know what was wrong. Maxwell stood up and offered his arm to Tritch.
"Lets take you back to the dorms. It's starting to get too dark to do much and I bet you're tired."

Tritch nodded, it sounded fine to her. She took his arm, gave him a kiss on the cheek. "It was a very lovely evening that you put together." She said smiling at him. She then waited for him to escort her back to her dorm room for the night.

Maxwell stood up and started to walk with her away from. The table and back towards the dorms. It was a good evening for something that be just put together. Lucky for him he knew a few people.
"Every evening is nice when I'm with you." He told her.

As the pair had been leaving, the swells along the beach were slowly starting to grow before the water, all together, receded. To any frequent surfers, this meant a large wave was about to come crashing toward the sand and the further out the water pulled the larger the wave. Sure enough, on the horizon the initial mound was starting to loom. If it broke against the shore it would flood a mile inland and take Maxwell and Tritch out with it before pulling them back out to sea. As the wave neared and began to crest, a shadow could be seen riding inside the wave. The figure was massive with what looked like tendrils flailing behind it. However, they were no tentacles but rather crab-like legs that sprouted from the sides of a massive shark that was easily the size of the school's gymnasium. The beast chomped angrily at the water as it rode the wave to land, impatient to start the feast to come.

Mizuki knew the school was on high alert but careless. The place must have already done it a dozen times for minor things. That and the teacher wanted to rejoin the water which was her birth place. The mermaid slipped into her tail before crawling the rest of the way to the beach. She then swam out a bit and smile. It was then she saw something odd. It was a shark-crab like thing. She was a creature of the sea but the words escaped her at the moment. She just remembered that it wasn't nice and tried to be still in the water. It was better to get away then having to fight. She had few things that could protect her.
