Zack didn't answer at first, he was trying to hide his saddness, then suddenly, apperently she found out what was wrong, he probably shouldn't say anything, heroes don't cry, right? "You... Made... Me feel... I..." tears welled up in his eyes, who cared about what normal heroes did?! He turned around and wrapped his arms around her in a slightly tight embrace "as long as I'm here, you're never gonna be alone Aerith! Even if you don't realize it, even if I'm not as good as an ancient would be, if... I'm not good enough, you'll never be alone, because I'll always be there for you! Ancient or not, I love you, more then I would've ever thought possible, and nobody, human or ancient, could love you as much as I do, and I... Don't care if your Cetra, just like you shouldn't care that I'm just a human, because, I'll never leave your side if that's what it takes for you to understand that your not alone... Because... I'm here, Aerith" he said, holding her tighter, speaking his mind, he didn't know what it was like, being the last of your kind, but, if it was enough to make him feel the way he just did, then, he didn't much want to, he just wished, she'd understand that... He was with her. she wasn't alone, and he would make sure it stayed that way

"But... It's... Not enough, is it? You need another ancient, not a fiancee, before you can feel like your not alone, right?" Zack asked, hoping truly that the answer would be "no" and that she'd see what he meant, but, still, he wasn't an ancient, he wouldn't know, and of course there's no way he was better then all them, they unlock and protect the planet, he's just some random country boy...

Zack's eyes shut tight as more tears came from them, and he rested his head against her own "just... Please, tell me you don't feel alone, that I'm enough, that I'm enough... And that... That you'll never leave me..." he said through tears, he, to himself, sounded needy, he never wanted to ask someone to do so much for him, but he really needed to hear it, but if she didn't... He'd... Understand? No, he wouldn't understand, but he wouldn't be mad either...

Zack smiled softly at first, then was slightly distressed when she didn't finish her sentance, then shook his head quickly "Aerith! You... Already did that once! And I... I need you... I do... I don't care if I'm being selfish but... I'd choose you over the planet anyday, I just... Can't live on a planet without you, Aerith" he said looking down for a long moment "if you go, I'm going too" he said without looking up, and meaning what he said, no matter how selfish he may have been right there, but, after everything he did, after all the horrible things he went through in his life... Why couldn't he just be given this one favor? Is one just too much to ask for...?

"It's only fair they have a mother and father, they will be special after all" Zack said, then sighed softly "but if you go to the planet, then, you won't be doing it alone, that's just how it is, so, if you want me to live to see another day, then do so yourself and there's no problem" he said with a slight smile "I'll protect the planet, though, it's priority number two" he said, obviously saying she was the first "but... No matter what you are always the most important thing to me, nothing else matters, I love you, and we'll protect the planet together, that way neither of us dies... Again" he said with a soft smile

Zack gave her a look, pretty much saying he could tell she wasn't saying everything she thought, he wasn't that stupid, though, he let it pass, he didn't much like the subject either "I can't possibly be mad at you, at least not after looking into your eyes" he said smiling, trying to lighten the mood himself by complimenting her... Already "scratch that, I couldn't be mad at you period, once we have kids you won't have to feel alone anymore" he said, both as a statment, and seeing if she had meant what she said, if she hadn't he wouldn't mention anything more on the subject, he'd act as if he was clueless, which he rarely was

Zack nodded, she did mean it...? Really? Wow, he was happy, that was for sure, he felt a lot better now, even more so that he showed her one of his normal smiles "oh yeah, you mean when you called me wierd and scary then assualted me?" he said jokingly, assualted was reffering to her shoving him, which he himself thought was funny, and she'd know he was messing with her "that time or another?" he asked, though, he was sure enough it was what he was talking about that was it

Zack laughed a bit "oh please, you're more terrifying then any guy called "chaos," the only thing that scares SOLDIERs, is Aerith angry at you, then that's when you get on your knees and beg for forgiveness, if you're lucky, you may just live to see tomorrow" he said, laughing a bit when he did, huh, some part in that seemed like something Sephiroth would say... The compliments seemed more fit to someone like Yuffie, but still, it was funny to say this stuff, plus Aerith angry did terrify him! He'd have to get on his knees and beg for forgiveness if he ever made her angry! "You could easily take the four monsters down, but, just for fun, I think I'll come too" he said laughing a bit, he had almost forgot about the monsters, but oh well!

((Lol, haven't tried to sleep yet, though I'm sure it'll be fun! XD lol I think it's funny how he's like "could you not tell Aerith? She scares me way more then you do" to Tifa in the manga, lol just had to do this XD))
