Maiara Kaneonuskatew
Maiara hesitated to answer Archer, and was relieved when Zack spoke. She could speak with the spirits here, but it left her body very vulnerable. Her own spirit left the fox body, leaving it open to other spirits. It was true that she was able to make a barrier around her body, but it was weak; she had not mastered this technique yet. It also didn't help that she hasn't been practicing. Maiara had a feeling Zack, also having a strong connection with spirits, would be more than able to help defend her body she left behind, but she just didn't feel comfortable with that option either. She tried not to show her thoughts on her face as she crossed her arms, listening to Zack speak.
Her thoughts vanished quickly as she saw the dryad stumble. Maiara took a quick step forward, about to help Archer before he caught himself. She stood back up straight, but more alert, in case he staggered again. Looking at him curiously, she looked for any physical injury, but she couldn't see any. "Is...this normal for you?" Maiara asked him, hoping it wasn't the ominous forest affecting him. He was an earth spirit, so he was probably more sensitive than she or Zack.

Archer de Luca "Woah, I guess this forest is taking more out of me than I thought." Archer said, and laughed a little. It wasn't funny. This dark aura seemed to eat away at his strength, and the worst of it is, he hadn't even noticed it until now.
He looked around the clearing and noticed a small patch of sun was getting through. He moved under it so that the sunlight shone directly on him. Sighing, he shut his eyes as his body glowed, absorbing the sun's rays, replenishing him. The new energy caused some of the buds in his hair to pop open into leaves, and a few into flowers. The sunshine here, like everything else here, was polluted with this dark aura, but his body was very good at removing foreign substances, so he should be fine.
Feeling much better, he opened his eyes. Looking back at the two, he realized that they had just been standing there talking for a while, in the middle of the dark forest.
"We should probably move." Archer said, "So as not to stay in one place for long. I'm interested in the center of the forest. Will either of you come with me?"

Maiara Kaneonuskatew
Maiara watched Archer absorb the sunlight in amazement. Archer was the first Dryad she has ever met, but it was a spectacular sight to behold. She was sure that if she watched him do that again, she would be just as captivated. Her eyes were drawn to his peculiar hair so much so that she barely heard what he said. She decided she would accompany him, even if to just make sure he didn't collapse from the darkness. It would be a great misfortune to see a person, let alone a dryad, perish in a place like this alone. She would admit that she was curious as well, although she was trying to work on her rash decisions. Ah well. Another day perhaps.
Maiara finally nodded to him, "I will come with you." Maiara stepped into the patch of sunlight, to further indicate she would come with him. The sunlight felt warm on her skin, a contrast to the dark shadows she stepped out of. The ominous feeling didn't leave her though.

Zack Strife
Zack watched as Archer fell to hes knees, he wasn't sure what to know but was glad when Maiara rushed to help him. I guess those born from earth, would feel this darkness here even more clearly.. He thought. When Archer asked them to join him, he shook hes head. As much as he wanted to go with 'em and see that nothing bad happened, he had some business elsewhere. "I cannot, not right now." He said apologizing. Then he takes hes silvery bracelet that he made from hes pocket and takes Maiara's hand and places that bracelet on her palm. "Here, I promised to make something, didn't I?. You can make magical arrows with it, you just have to concentrate to it. " He says. "It solves your arrow problems, when you get used to it." After saying that he begins to walk away, but turns again. "Stay on the path.. there are some dark creatures lurking here, but they rarely come near the path. I think our dryad is able to keep you on right path." Then he waves and heads away. He really hoped that they didn't meet any dangers that this forest held.((Picture of that bracelet can be found from Zack's dorm room))

Archer de Luca "Thanks for your help!" Archer yelled after Zack's retreating back. He sighed.
Turning to Maiara, he said, "Are you ready to go?"
He squatted down, placing his hand on the ground again. His mind was busy finding the quickest and safest route to the center.
This strange peaceful feeling he got from the center, he had no idea what could cause it. It was unlike anything he had felt before, but at the same time very familiar. A soft warm light, out of place in this dark, twisted wood.
"We should head that direction," he said, pointing northwest.

Maiara Kaneonuskatew
Maiara was speechless when she received her gift from Zack. She expected the silver metal to be cold on her hand, but it wasn't. She couldn't believe that he made this, let alone, for her. Maira brushed her fingers over the runes, some of which were not unfamiliar to her, amazed that this contained the power to create arrows. Maiara began to thank him, but by the time she looked back up, he was already down the path back to the school. She waved slightly before turning to Archer again, still holding the bracelet in her palm.
Miara nodded, looking off in the direction he pointed to. She couldn't sense anything different from that area but a few animals. At the moment, she couldn't feel any impending sense of danger, but it would probably be the best idea to let Archer go first. "You will lead the way?" Maira said while finally putting the bracelet on her arm.

Archer de Luca "Yeah, I'll lead." he said, "We're taking a detour, because there is something really bad near it, and if we went straight there, we'd blunder right into it. Thankfully, the path takes the same detour."
He started walking towards where he pointed. The sunlight streaming through the trees was almost pretty, but like everything else it had a taint of darkness to it. He pushed his magic into his fingertips, ready if something were to happen.

Maiara Kaneonuskatew
Maiara nodded slightly as she followed him, trying not to misstep anywhere. She wasn't sure of this 'really bad' thing Archer spoke of and trusted him to guide them around it. While still aware of the environment, she played with the metal bracelet Zack gave her, curious of its powers.
Even while thinking of other things, she turned her head sharply at any sound or smell that was even slightly peculiar. She also made sure to keep a close eye on Archer, figuring he would show signs of knowing if evil lurked ahead. "Can you explain this...bad thing you sense?" Maiara said softly, almost afraid to make too much noise as they ventured deeper into the forest.

Archer de Luca Archer kept his eyes alert as he walked, to be safe.
"I'm not exactly sure," he said, "There is something giving off a really bad vibe. It's probably the nest of some nasty creature. It isn't moving, so we'll just go around it."
He walked a little further then stopped, looking around.
"We should turn here." He pointed left, towards the north-east. "We'll be heading right for the center now." He smiled at her, if only to re-assure himself.

Maiara only nodded to his direction. She had her doubts about where he was leading them, but she kept them to herself, deciding to trust him. There wouldn't be any reason to lead her into trouble here. The scent of the air changed slightly as they got closer, and when he stopped, it gave her a moment to inspect it a bit more.
Maiara turned towards Archer, "This creature, how large?" As she spoke, she watched Archer, as it was polite to do so, but she quickly returned to scanning the area once she finished speaking. She began to pace, debating the idea of whether it would be safer for the two of them if she took on Wayra's form. She kept her fears of this creature he spoke of hidden, especially when she could smell a hint of fear coming from him as well. It would be best to continue with little doubt; they had come this far, and her curiosity was much stronger than her fear.

Archer de Luca Archer concentrated on the energy of the creature. "Big." he said, "My tree is tiny compared to this, and it's almost two hundred years old."
He started walking in the new direction. They were now headed directly towards the center, and it was just a little farther. He tryed to stop thinking about whatever the horrible thing was, and concentrated on the overpoweringly good feeling he got from the center.
All of a sudden, a light started to be visible through the trees. At first Archer thought it was the sun, but this light was more of a silver, and not as harsh or burning as sunlight. His plant side warmed instantly, absorbing this new energy.
"What-" He started to say, and then stopped. He knew. He knew what this was. He took of at a run, breaking into the clearing.
Unicorns. {{It's okay, I apologize too. I've been out of town and my aunt and uncle were supposed to have internet, but oh well.}}

Maiara Kaneonuskatew
Maiara followed him in silence, keeping her thoughts to herself. She kept her eyes on their surroundings; she hoped this creature, due its large size, would be easy to spot if they had the misfortune to happen across it. What would they do if they did had to fight it? Maiara held her bow closer to herself, gripping it tightly. As they ventured closer, she felt the warm light on her skin, it was oddly reassuring. Had they arrived? But before she could ask, Archer took off running off towards the light.
Maiara hesitated to join him. She instinctively looked behind her, now alone a few feet away from the clearing. It felt like her bow was going to break in her hands, but she took a deep breath, trying to pick up any scents. She consulted the fox spirit, hoping that perhaps he knew more. Do you know that smell Wayra? No, it is most curious. It is an animal of some sort, not ordinary though. The boy obviously knows it, however. Whatever it is, it could be dangerous. Maiara nodded to herself, walking cautiously towards where Archer had run to. What Wayra had said was not very useful, but it calmed her a bit to speak with him. The light became stronger with every step, and she was quick to realize it wasn't the sun as she stood behind one of the trees surrounding the clearing. Her eyes widened at the sight; they certainly were not ordinary animals, she even felt the amazement of the arctic fox alongside her own. Why, perhaps they're related to the great narwhale? Maiara shook her head, these beasts had some sort of...magic to them. Entranced, Maiara found she had walked into the clearing, but remained close to the edge. She managed to take her eyes off the horned horses to watch Archer to see how they would interact. Hopefully the beasts wouldn't see her as a threat, and to reinforce this, she put her bow on the ground in front of her. She didn't have any arrows anyways.

[ Makai di Tomaso ] [ Italian-Speaking Student ] [ Siren ] Makai walked into the forest once again, in search of her idiotic friend, Niiro Tenka. She had suggested to him to come and enroll into the school, but unfortunatly, she ha no idea where he was now. She thought that he would be in a forest, being part wolf and all, but could not find him. ...Probably in class... She thought to herself. She paused for a second, then chuckled lightly to herself. Heh... yeah right! Him... in class! She stopped her chuckling, and looked around the area briefly. She was bored so far, so for the time being, she wanted to walk around. She didn't stay long the last time she was there, so why not look around now? She continued walking around the forest, careful to not get lost there, but then she couldn't see for a moment and only saw darkness... then when she got her sight back... she ran into a tree.

Archer de Luca Unicorns, a whole herd of them. The grove shone with a warm silver light.
"Of course, I should have known." Archer said softly, walking slowly towards the closest creature. The horse lowered its head as he approached, and he placed his hand on the side of its muzzle.
Suddenly, all of the aches and pains he had been feeling from the trek through the woods vanished.
Maiara was lucky. As a girl, unicorns naturally felt more comfortable around her, and a few approached her slowly.
Archer turned back to the unicorn he was petting and smiled. He sent the unicorn some mental images of thanks for healing his injuries and the horse mentally smiled back in return.

Maiara Kaneonuskatew
Maiara took a step back, nervous, as some of the mystical horses approached her. She tentatively reached out to one of them, touching its muzzle as Archer had done. It's fur reminded her of fresh snow: soft. Maiara found herself smiling slightly as she pet the proud creature, feeling its power under her fingertips. Her thoughts wandered to the location of these creatures. It was such a ominous place, were they hiding?
Eventually, Maiara hugged the neck of the magical horse loosely, and smiled to the others who approached her as well. She finally turned towards Archer, "I must go now. It get late, I do not want to stay here during night." Maiara nodded to him before continuing, "I am glad to meet you, I thank you for guiding me here. You can join me back if you so wish it." She turned away, putting her fur-lined hood up as she bent down to pick up her bow. She looked back one more time, to see the unicorns; a sight she would never forget. Maiara had very little worry about finding her way back, she could follow her scent and Archer's through the woods back to the school.
((I apologize again for the long absence. Didn't mean to get you stuck here, so I finished it up.))
