Not knowing what to expect, X23 growled a bit as Rogue grabbed her, but as she was thrown toward the church window, those thoughts were replaced with determination as she crashed through it and rolled onto the ground, jumping up in a crouch.

The two surprised gunmen turned and opened fire on X23, while Jimmy Zorn pulled Ward Abbot out of direct harms way. After Rogue crashed through a wall, some fire was directed at her as well -- bullets bouncing off her hide. Abbot shouted, "Get the K shells!!!"
Amongst the armed men, X23 easily recognizes Castel's scent. The assassin is close but unseen....
Both Professor and Daedalus saw from where the attack came and took careful aim from their respective perches on different rooftops. Both fired at Ms. Marvel and Superboy with depleted uranium rounds from theei M-200's.

Four silenced black helicopters approached almost within sight of the church hideout, one of the men wearing black combat armor tapped his comm, "We're almost there, Director."
The response was from a silky voiced woman, "Excellent! Whether you capture or kill the SPBs, bring them back for tests and study."

X23 reacted just in time to avoid the shots of the two gunmen, and, thoroughly irritated at this point, she unsheathed all of her claws, and proceeded to act like a living, razor-tipped tornado of death, spinning and whirling as she danced nimbly around the gunfire like the trained weapon she was, slicing apart the guns of the gunmen and slashing at their bodies to take them out of the action. However, remembering her adoptive mother's words, she aimed to avoid their vital organs.

Suppai turned at the entrance of X23 and hissed. One the other mutant was on the attack Suppai grabbed Abbot. "We're out of here."
She laughed her wicked little laugh and turned herself and Abbot into electricity, pulling into a nearby light socket.

Ms. Marvel glanced up from where she had been watching Rogue and X handle the agents. She turned to Superboy. "Do you hear gunfire? Ah." She flew up to the Professor's setup. "Apparently someone forgot to tell you I'm pretty much bulletproof." She snatched the muzzle of the rifle and bent it.

The Professor immediately went into a martial arts stance and hooked Ms. Marvel's wrist while she was still bending his M-200 sniper rifle. Clasping the wrist with fore finger and thumb, the government assassin attempted to flip the Avenger onto the roof.
While X23 dwelt with one of the gunmen, Castel struck. From behind, the assassin attempted to disable X23's right arm with a nerve strike.
Rogue tried to help, but had to dodge an attack that her danger sense told her was coming. Diving down, an energy blast just went over her head disintergrating part of the wall, "JEESSS!!!"

X23's heightened senses told her that Castel was behind her, and as she finished with the gunmen, she backflipped above and behind Castel. She remembered him. The guy that sparred with her, for lack of a better word, at Xavier's. She was determined to best him this time around, she decided, as she took a defensive stance and retracted her foot-claws.

 When X23 flipped over Castel, the assassin timed a foot sweep just for when the young clawed mutant's feet touched the floor. Just after the sweep, Castel blocked the young girl's forearm out of the way for an attempt to knife punch with a short blade toward X23's right armpit.

Ms. Marvel was caught by surprise, and hit the rooftop with a thud. She sprang to her feet just as quickly and faced the Professor. "Well, this should be fun." She aimed a lightening fast strike at his face, hoping to catch him off guard.

The Professor dodged the direct attack with practiced ease by stepping inside Carol's swing. Then, the assassin aimed an elbow at Ms. Marvel's nose. While the assassin might not be able to kill with this shot -- attempting to smash Carol's nasal cavity into her brain but being thwarted by the Avenger's armored skin. However, the blow might stun the Avenger... Rogue got back up and found herself confronted by men in powered black armor with energy rifles. One shot grazed the Mississippi native, but while Marie grunted in pain she one punched the man out of the back of the building. Four other similarly armored agents volleyed fire at Rogue, blasting her back toward X23 and Castel. While Rogue screamed, one of the armored agents barked, "This is got to be the Kryptonian! Keep blasting until she's out!!"

Ms. Marvel grunted as the blow struck her and stumbled back, cursing under her breath. That was careless. Can't afford to make mistakes like that. She fell backward as though dazed and lashed out with her foot suddenly, aiming for the assassin's knees.

X23, sensing the new arrivals, gave them all quick looks. However, this gave Castel enough time to jab the knife into her armpit. X23 grunted with pain, and tore her arm away from the knife (creating a bleeding wound, but it was healing up very quickly). Seeing the power-armored men as the much greater threat here, X23 deliberately broke away from Castel, jumping high and gracefully landing beside the furthest of the four agents.
She ducked low, and with her superhuman reflexes and Adamantium claws, she proceeded to slash the rifle of the closest agent into three parts with a single swipe, before immediately moving on the the next three.

With the mention of 'kryptonians', Conner had appeared behind two of the armored men who were firing at Rogue.
"Nope, guess again."
He grabbed the back of their suits and easily picked them both up over his head. Without giving them a chance to react, he threw them across the room.

The remaining Black Talon agent screamed as he backed away from X23 and Superboy. Just as he fired with his particle cannon at the two heroes, Rogue threw another agent and struck the gunner -- sending both through a wall. The wounded X-Men sat up, "Ah swear they git these guys from Rent-A-Mook. No idea where Abbot is, but I saw Zorn go thataway." Rogue pointed to her left.
Up top, the Professor was taken off his feet, and rolled away from Carol -- leaving a smoke grenade right by Ms. Marvel.
Superboy could hear VTOL craft approaching and heard the chatter of the platoon of Black Talons about to engage them, close to thirty armored agents about to storm the church where their 'recon team' went silent.
