^.^ Thanks.
I hope I'll be able to take him home sometime. I don't want to have the dogs constantly terrorizing the poor guy, he already had three cats doing that to him at the breeder's place. gonk But I'll try to make it work.
The name Raiden. . .
Well, what happened was, I was babysitting all of my sister's chinchillas over the weekend, and so I rented a game for the xbox there. It happened to be Metal Gear Solid 2, in which you play as a character named "Raiden". He's one of my favorite characters. Kind of picked on/used by everyone, angsty, a bit of a "runt". . . yeah. When I heard my chin's story, it sort of clicked for me. He's the runt of the litter, always picked on by other animals, etc.
If I had been given more time to name him, perhaps it would've been something else, but I'm happy with Raiden. ^.^
Oh, I uploaded a bunch of pictures and whatnot in the pets area, so you can see pictures of Raiden and everyone else there! ^.^

I was watching my sister's chins and rabbit on the weekend (hence my lack of being here), and she came back with a Chinchilla for me. sweatdrop I can't have him at home though. crying My dog would terrorize the poor thing, so he's staying with all the others (8 now).
His name was originally Pookie, but I think I want to change it to "Raiden" ^^;
And actually two of my sister's chinchillas (Peko and Mika) had a baby!
 So very cute, I didn't even know what a chinchilla was until I saw your pic! I love it!

*laughs* Yeah, they're adorable. That one in the picture is only a few hours old, so you can't really go by that. ^.^ Check out my post in the pet thread to see a full grown one (or seven o.o ).
