  Just three minutes later, seeing as Rufus wasn't struggling whatsoever, and the room wasn't extremely far away, he male vampire arrived in front of the doctor and Marie with his human posse.
"Afternoon sirs." He said airily with pupils drifting to the ceiling. "Oh, hello my lady." He said tipping his hat and not tipping it back up. Rufus who was still in the arms of the guards, his feet just barley on the ground, smiled broadly as the hat fell lopsided over his left eye and cheek.
"This is her accomplice yes?" The doctor verified it with the witnessing guards. They all nodded in agreement. "He gives us a lot of trouble this one."
The doctor sighed at the guard's remark. There had been quite a few disasters concerning these two patients specifically. It wasn't something the doctor could just let go on.
"Leodast, how is that opium treating you?"
Rufus blinked, laughing lightly with this sense of a calm, but powerful bliss. "Wonderful, everything is wonderful doctor! Haha!"
Rufus sighed before continuing. "Why is a lady strapped to a chair?" he mused aloud with a quizzical expression.

Marie looked up as they brought Rufus into the room. She jerked her head in the doctor's direction with even wider eyes. Accomplice?!?! Rufus had helped her kill someone?!?! Wait!!! No, she didn't kill anyone!! Tears began welling up in her dark eyes. She was so confused!! She just wanted all this terrible stuff to go away!!! She couldn't have killed people!! People had families!!! She wouldn't take someone away from their family!! She knew she wouldn't!! Marie would never do something like that!!! (But Odette would)
She looked over at Rufus with a trembling lip. Why would the doctor lie to her? What purpose would it serve? But... killing people?? Those blackouts!! What did she do, what happened when she lost conscious???

Wait wait wait, he knew this girl! Duh, that was Odette, the swan lady person girl! "Oh hello there Odette, how nice to see you again." He said smiling broadly at her...even though his pupils wandered off all along the corners of the room.
He looked so high, it was unbelievable.
"I smell, I smell crying." He said airily. That threw everyone off, but hey, they didn't know Rufus was a vampire that could smell the saline in Marie's tears a mile away. He looked straight at Marie, a pouty, and really really really adorable expression took over his features as he furrowed his eyebrows and jutted his bottom lip out like a two year old.
Who knew someone as maniacal, homicidal, and flat out mean as Rufus, could look so...cuddly.
"Don't cry, you're like the prettiest person in the room!" He encouraged before suddenly swaying side to side slowly. He was feeling really good right now.
"I know, I know what you're supposed to do when you feel sad." He said with arms floating up into the air. "You have sex!" He chimed before laughing happily. "Yes yes yes, sex sex sex...Rhyme! Did you hear it, it was a rhyme, but wait? Alas, it was not! Oh no no no!" He laughed swaying faster now, "Silly me!"
The guards looked at each other amused. Well, this had turned out well. The doctor, well it was hard to say what the doctor was thinking right now. "I'll have sex with you." He offered. "Look, my pretty dress makes it easy." He lifted the dress up slightly and continued to sway...which was really a very interesting combination.

Marie's face creased into a frown and she looked at Rufus. She clearly remembered introducing herself as Marie, not Odette... Ugh what a horrid name.
He smelled crying? She sighed, not even bothering with the oddball, she had enough on her plate without worrying about her supposed murder accomplice.
She looked sharply up at Rufus when he said she should have sex when she was sad, she would not have sex!! Marie was a prude who refused to have sex before marriage, her innocence was very important to her!
Then he lifted up his dress and she blushed fiercely, looking away and closing her eyes. She didn't want to see that!!! No!!! Male genitalia was not on her list of things to see!!!

"I'm sorry Leodast, but there won't be any sexual intercourse---even if you did so graciously offer." The doctor eyes the vampire suspiciously. Perhaps it was the opium talking, but why would a supposed homosexual volunteer to have sex with a woman? That didn't make much sense at all?
Rufus blinked and let the hem of his raggedy smock fall back down to his mid thigh. "No sex? That's preposterous!" Rufus wasn't accustomed to long spurts between orgasms. He was very sexually involved with a lot of different people, he always had someone in his bed whether they were willing or not!
Yeah Rufus wasn't above rape--then again he usually just seduced people until they were willing.
"Everybody needs a little fun in the bedroom from time to time." He chimed wiggling his finger as his pupils danced around the room in a drug induced splendor. "And she's sad, she needs to have something-have something---what am I trying to say?" He asked shrugging animatedly. "Oh yes! She needs to pretend she's happy to hide the fact that she's really depressed and at breaking point! That's what I do anyway." He flashed Marie a huge beaming smile before lifting his lips over his teeth.
....That got an interesting reaction.
Rufus' canines, his fangs so to say, were not little love bites. Rufus' fangs, were big, and long, and sharp. They had such a threatening appearance, vampires often didn't even bother arguing with him about prey, it was instinctual. Usually Rufus his his fangs from humans. When he spoke his lip covered his canines and when he smiled, which he did often he lifted his bottom lip up slightly to make his fangs look like they were the same length as his incisors.
Now though, that he was high, Rufus wasn't really thinking. He was essentially barring his fangs, and they were noticeable as hell.
Rufus lifted his hand and started rubbing his eyes with his wrist as his upper lips slowing closed over his teeth. He purred softly, a sound so catlike the doctor wasn't the only person in the room questioning whether a human being was able to make such a sound.
The guards exchanged looks. Didn't Marie...and Odette, have fangs as well? And when Marie was Odette and her temperament changed, didn't she display homicidal tendencies?
Connection? Well yeah, but Marie was totally unaware of her species....but maybe that had something to do with why she was so meek.

Marie, not phased by the fangs, having a pair of her own and already having seen Rufus', was more interested in the reactions of the doctors and the guards. As well as what Rufus said. "But Rufus, I'm not depressed." she said with a shrug.
And what was with the doctor, he was looking from Rufus, back to her, then back to Rufus... And he was scribbling notes furiously in his little notebook. Finally, she decided to speak up. "Doctor, what are you writing, and why are you all so surprised? My teeth are like that too, maybe it's a connection?" she said hopefully, maybe those black outs would stop happening if they figured out what was "wrong" with her.

Not depressed!? Well that didn't make any sense!
"But if you're not depressed why are you here?" He asked with a strange and oddly inappropriate smile. "If you're not sad and here as an ultimatum, why not break out and get yourself some pretty clothing because, because that dress really isn't flattering with your skin tone." Rufus was...a fashionisto?
No wonder he liked hats so much!
"Doctor!?" Yeah doctor...
Rufus perked up at the word. "I'm a doctor as well my good good good sir! Well truthfully I am a surgeon but I'm still supposed to go by Doctor, even though I don't because I think Mr. or Sir, gives me a more seductive name. Dr. Leodast doesn't sound as good, which means women wouldn't want me to shove my-oh yes the teeth!" Damn he switched topics fast....and basically started confessing to sleeping with women. "Elongated canines used for piercing the skin and puncturing arteries in order to release blood!" Rufus Rufus Rufus, he just whipped out everything when under the influence.
"I'm happy!" He sang throwing his hands in the air. "But wait, I'm sad! You're human!" He said pointing at the doctor quickly. "He's human!" He said pointing at one of the guards. "She's crazy!" He shouted pointing at Marie.
What was going on with the male vampire!? Was Rufus, was Rufus bugging out? "You're a girl trapped in a man's body! TURTLES!" And with that Rufus threw his hat to the ground.
Yeah, something was wrong. "And I, and I, and I-I'm hungry!" And not for slop that was for sure. "And I'm, and you, and he, and that one's ugly, and I, prostitutes, and I, and Benedict said, and the b***h, and, and, and, and---Nobody likes me!"
Rufus threw his arms in the air before falling onto his back with a thunderous boom. How much opium had he just smoked!? And why the hell was he having a mental breakdown!

Marie pulled forward, easily breaking the restraints as if they were pieces of thread, but she was worried about Rufus. He was the only person who had shown her a shred of decency in the whole place. The rest were either studying her, trying to throw her around, or just plain crazy. She walked over to the fallen man, ignoring for a moment the fact she had just done something a human shouldn't be able to do, and walked over to Rufus, kneeling down next to him. "Rufus? Are you OK?" she asked
