Fae's Journal
Abby's been gone for nearly a day now. I miss her but I'm not lonely. Zen's here and we keep each other company. He's so active though, I barely have time to think! Earlier today I was chasing him around the kitchen and he smacked right into our baking flour! That little rascal thought he could hide...he didn't realize he left tiny powder paw prints behind him.
Foenix has been going through the same thing, except Nehanda's her only. It was a comfort boost when we got to talk and have tea however. I also stumbled upon Kiro today in the Centre. It was Zen's first time meeting Roise- actually it was mine too. She's their new edition to the family; a dove and red panda mix, very lovely. Zen got to play with her while I caught up with Kiro. Tsu was worried about Pueblo- I think he's grown an attachment to her. Whether this is good or bad, that has yet to be known.

"Pueblo's return" The sun was setting with a fiery combustion of oranges and reds, its glow casting across the waters and turning them pink. Gentle waves rolled and uncurled along the shore line peacefully. As the two Aerandir split apart, Pueblo marked her place on the shore and started to decline. Stretching a foot down, it barely sunk into the wet sand under her weight as she placed her other paw beside it once she was close enough. Her wings gave a few heavy and quiet beats, holding her weight and promising her a soft landing. Her pinions being silent thanks to her owl genes, the serene evening pulled her into its mood without disruption. Looking around as the pink water collapsed around her ankles, she allowed her wings to rest easily around her. The flight had made her weary and she blinked her heavy eyes. Turning around, she stared off in the distance. The mysterious island had disappeared into her memory and dreams, and for the most part would remain there.
The walk wasn't far from the shore to Fae's house. Her wings were also very tired and she wondered how her guardian would react. But it didn't worry her, all that being droned out by how tired she was. She begun to loose track of time, her senses deluded with the sweet evening air. She felt an overwhelming calmness rush over her and directed her ears up. But as soon as she looked up, her knees buckled and she fell forward. Fae's concerned cry stood out in her mind, asking herself what was going on. Then everything diffused into darkness.
* * *
Pueblo slowly began to open her eyes, peering through temporary blurriness at a dark shadow hanging over her. She quickly sat up, expecting to feel the warm dirt under her. Instead, it was spongy firmness supporting her body. Rubbing her fists into her eyes, her ears rose as her focus came back and realized she was in Fae's living room.
"Pueblo!" The girl gasped and slung her arms around.
"Huh? What happened?" Pueblo scowled at the embrace. It didn't feel right.
Fae sat back, her eyes still adjusting to Pueblo's older form. "As soon as I saw you approaching, you fainted halfway to our house." She half frowned, searching for a reason in Pueblo's eyes without asking.
Pueblo glanced to the side, trying her best to remember. "Fainted? Well I was really tired after the fly home..."
"You flew home?!" Fae interrupted, both shocked and joyous.
Pueblo looked at Fae sadly, but couldn't hold her contact for long. Staring somewhere to the ground, her long bangs hanging off her soft cheeks, her lips began to murmur. "Fae, I really want to tell you everything that happened. But I can't. I made a promise to every Aerandir now, before, and future." She looked up, her emerald eyes glassy with tears.
Fae's mouth gaped a little and she leaned in again. "Oh Abby, it's alright. I understand." She patted her back comfortingly. "So don't cry, okay? I bet you had a wonderful time. I mean, just look at you! You're so beautiful."
Pueblo sniffed up her tears and smiled, her ears lifting a little. "You really think so?"
"Yes! I really think so, and anyone is blind if they can't see that. You have a good heart, Abby." Fae's hand drew to Pueblo's cheek, gingerly wiping off her tears.
Pueblo grinned bashfully, looking around the room like she didn't know what to do.
Fae chuckled with Pueblo, relief finally filling the room. "So, how about something to eat? I bet you're starved. You'd been asleep ever since yesterday evening until this afternoon!"
Pueblo nodded. "Yes, I'd like that very much. But...where's Pie?" As she walked to the table to sit down to a bowl of stir fried beef, the ikkle gryphon leaped up onto the table, chittering like mad and climbing all over Pueblo. She giggled, trying to catch the hyper creature. "Hey Pie! I mi-hi-ssed you!"
Zanzibar finally popped above her shoulder and nuzzled her neck, wrapping his tail around it like a personal scarf. He stood on her shoulder the entire meal, swiping pieces of beef from her lips. Even though he ended up spitting it back out, he was curious, and his sister was bigger!

"Inspiration from a nightmare" Flashes of sketchy shadows collided with each other and red streaks expolded out from impact. But they were only momentary when the shadows began to fight one another again, and then all at once they jumped at each other. A blinding flash occured in the middle and then a blood red hand print appeared, the remains of what had happen. A sudden gust of wind flew past as a camera angle quickly rushed from outside of a cave, an intense feeling rising haphazardly and a heart beat quickly jumping.
Pueblo gasped and sat up in bed wide-eyed. Catching her breath, she peered around the darkend room. Looking over at here sleeping guradian and Zanzibar curled up to her, Pueblo half frowned. Looking at the ground, she slid out of bed, grabbing her paint brush on her way upstairs.
Pueblo was soon out the front door, walking to her studio under the stars. The warm wind welcomed her, sending strings of hair to move around her shoulders. She loosened her wings, allowing the fresh air to circulate through her feathers and walked silently into the room. She crossed the room to where a stool sat in front of a half-square table. Sliding a canvus onto the table, she searched for her paints in the moon-light. Lights were helpful, but her nocturnal eyes adjusted to the dark quickly and efficiantly. Even though she couldn't visually tell which color was which, her hands knew. Sitting on top of the stool, her tail curled around the legs and begun to draw her brush over her paint pallet. Stopping at a color which felt like black, she dipped it in and vigorously began to slash it across the canvus. Her ears focused forward, eyes set half-lidded trying to capture her dream in her paints. This was important. She dipped her brush in grey and clumped it onto the canvus.
* * *
A couple of hours passed allowing her heart to calm down. There were so many little details that screamed out at her. Dipping the tip of her brush into different color paints and then water, she tried meeting every detail's demand. She was concentrating so hard, with being almost complete, she jumped off her stool when she felt something touch her shoulder.
Zanzibar nearly fell off Pueblo's shoulder and screamed. He wasn't expecting that! Jumping to her other shoulder, he scolded her quietly in a low scratchy throat sound, wondering why she scared him like that.
"Oh, it's just you, Pie. You startled me! Why you up anyway?" She half smiled at his confused noises and scratched his head with a finger.
Zanzibar shrugged his shoulders and curled his tail around her neck. He shivered from the petting but something quickly caught his attention. Marking his landing, his beak dipped down and looked at the painting on the table. With a quiet rustle, his wings hurried him to the table for a closer look. He walked around it on all fours, his tail curling into the air like a question mark and went to nibble on the corner.
"Pie, don't eat my painting please," Pueblo cried, trying to gently push him away.
Scuttling back from the pressure of her hand, he questionlingly chittered. He just wanted to know what it was...
Pueblo's ear tips slightly lowered and smiled apologetically to Zen. She began to rub her hand over his back and slouched in her seat. "I had a nightmare..about the dream I had when I was away." She glanced down at her brother who was in return, staring back with full concentration. She smiled, knowing he understood her. "But this certain place keeps coming up in my dreams, so I thought it would be easier to remember correctly if I transfered it to canvus." She sighed, stopping her hand in the middle of his back and looking back to the painting. She leaned over the table, resting her other arm on the other side of the canvus.
Zanzibar's golden eyes widened and quickly moved in closer to her. He looked up at her, wrapping his hands around her wrist. "Rkeee.."
Pueblo's ears stood and looked down at him. "I have to go. Not now, but really soon. I wish you could go with me, but you need to stay here for Fae." She smooth her hand over his head, blinking groggily. A yawn soon snook up and she stretched out her wings. "I'm really tired now, I think I can go back to sleep. I may have to make one of those dream catchers soon or else I wont get any sleep." Upon Zanzibar's curious head tilt, Pueblo begun to explain. "They catch the bad dreams before they float into your ears," she said, knocking on her head close to an ear with her fist. "But for now, how about we go back inside? Are you not tired as well?" She scooped up the jittery gryphon and stood, looking only momentary at her painting before leaving it to glow under the moonlight.

A Letter Dear Fae, I know you've already been through an Aerandir growth but recently it was discovered that the wisp stage might be a dangerous way for Aerandir to transform and so we are sending this list of items for you to gather beforehand. Once you've found all the things listed please bring them to the Centre as you did with Pueblo. 2 large feathers 3 small feathers 3 beads 6 small beads / gems / shells 1 large leaf 2 small leaves 1 small pece of metal 1 ribbon Some twine A large pile of claws A large pile of round beads 1 long piece of thick rope (any colour) (OOC: This is what you get for having a shaman! XP You can supply two things by yourself and others can give you two things so long as the second item is at least RP'd!) looking forward to seeing you again, Alyosha.

Pueblo's Journal
 My dreams had been intensifying the past week. Each time getting so close to descovering something, each time waking me up in the middle of the night. I'm not sure how dreams work, but something in my tummy told me I needed to act on it.
Even though I was almost sure where the cave was, I didn't want to be alone doing this. I grew up with Nehanda and I had been there for her quest. We're almost like sisters- we do a lot together! The trip was long, but we found what I was looking for. I also found materials I can draw with; charcole and ochre, and I can always go back for more! But the most important objects...I'm not sure what they are. I bet Acia knows. I have a guess, but I'll need to take them to her to find out for sure.
Hopefully those dreams will stop now. They were kinda scarry..

"Healer" "Oh jeeze," Fae moaned out, lowering the paper. She continued to stare at it, hoping it was just her eyes playing tricks.
Zanzibar, who was now wanting to get to the paper, climbed around in Fae's lap and curiously tampered with it.
"What's the matter?" A quiet voice pipped out. Pueblo had just stepped inside, her ears erect to the sound of distress. Her shoulders were slightly haunched, as she stood there, always feeling awkward indoors. The young Aerandir had paused near Fae, now curious about the paper she held.
Fae had quickly looked up, taken by Pueblo's calm voice. She couldn't tell the difference when Pueblo was in a room or not anymore! "Oh, well.. I just recieved a letter from Alyosha, listing off the items Zen needs for his growth. But I don't even know what his job could be!"
Zen chittered when he heard his name.
Pueblo's eyes widened and she quickly stood over Fae's shoulder. "Let me see!" She gripped Fae's wrist and leaned over, pouring her eyes over the paper. "Wow," she whispered after a moment. "This is really long." She frowned but tried to give Fae a hopeful smile. "At least we have some time, I mean, because of it's size." Her head began to lower, looking to the ground. "I haven't exactly been around too much either to help," she said sadly.
Fae furrowed her brows and caught Pueblo's dipping chin. "It isn't your fault, Abby. You've had to do your own things that were just as important." Though it frustrated her, she respected Pueblo's duties.
Pueblo begun to smile and clicked her teeth for Zen. Upon the sound, Zanzibar forgot about the paper and climbed up Pueblo's arm. "Are you ready to become a child already, Pie?"
"Reeee?" He piped, then nibbled Pueblo's bottom lip. Somehow, it was like they understood each other.
"Well, it's time for bed anyway. I guess we'll just have to figure it out tomorrow," she said with a yawn and started turning off lights.
* * *
The moon outside was almost full, yet somehow everything was darker. Tall tree's stretched their branches toward the sky, their tips touching craters. The basement was hazey with a moon-light mixture of darkness. In one room, Fae slept soundlessly, little Zen curled next to her. The fur on his back rose and fell as he lightly snoozed.
On the other side of the room, Pueblo laid on her back, arms sprawled out in her temporary bed. Her face twitched and turned her head, then became still again. Silence filled the room around her, until her fingers started twitching. A flash of red eyes ran through her mind and she twitched again, this time her face looking painful. Restlessly, Pueblo begun to fight off an invisable monster. The silence was broken by her faint crying, seemingly trapped in a nightmare.
Zanzibar didn't like to sleep when it got all dark- that was the best time to play! But since his guardian laid down to rest, well, he figured so should he. It didn't take much to rouse him, however, his golden eyes flickering open to weird sounds. His head rose off the bed sheet and looked at his guardian curiously. Another, louder cry for help startled him and looked off in the opposite direction. Suddenly he stood, Fae's hand sliding off with a thump. The blankets twisted under his feet as he leaped off, soaring to the ground and out the door.
Fae's fingers twitched as her nerves were touched by a cool breeze. Sighing, her attempt at lifting her head was futile, but managed to pry an eye open to look down. "Zen?" she tiredly slurred.
The matress Zen climbed was twice his height, but that didn't stop him. He bounded over a swiping hand and onto her chest, dancing up to place his front paws on her forehead. His black beak dipped to lightly tap against her skull and made low, grumbling sounds in his throat. Soon enough, Pueblo's hands stilled and her head stopped jerking. Zanzibar desperately tried to keep his paws to her head as she slowed down, then suddenly sat up.
Pueblo sucked in air and looked around in a sweat. Fae was standing in the doorway and Zanzibar had found his way into her lap.
"Pueblo, are you alright? You look confused... I thought I heard you screaming."
Pueblo stared at Fae for a moment before cusping her forehead and letting out a low moan. "I was having a really bad dream- but then, something chased it away. I don't know how to describe it... I saw Zanzibar, and now I'm awake." She looked down at the concerned gryphon, his paws clasped around a finger. "Did you chase it away?" she asked him, leaning against the wall with an exaughsted smile.
The gryphon chittered and climbed up her arm to give her a sweet peck. His tail curled protectively around her arm, his yellow eyes glowing in the dark room.
Too groggy to make sense of this, Fae nearly fell over asleep again. "Well if you're alright, I propose we all go back to bed." Zen hissed. "And Zen may stay with you."
"Chitter!"
