Thais walked around the crowds. It reminded her something of one of the orphanages she'd been in once. Lots of people, few cliques. Not everyone got to fit in one of them. The corners of her lips drew downward as she concentrated. Her head was swirling. More than likely from lack of food and exertion. She found herself sitting in a chair around a table, a woman reaching for her hand. She kept pulling away. I don't want a palm reading. I don't want a palm reading. She didn't realize she hadn't spoken yet.
"I don't want a palm reading. I just want to breathe for a moment." she said, her eyebrows pulling in together. The woman spoke with an obviously fake accent, but offered her a glass of water. She took it to her lips and spoke sarcastically, "What did you put in here? I swear if I start seeing..." her words were cut off by her mouth, taking for itself, a big gulp of water.

Thais found her way back to Cirque de Noir. It was vacant and now held an ominous vibe through the air. The rides were shut down, the vendors closed up, the acrobats- God knows where they slept... The narrow walkways were dusty and littered with food wrappers and popped air balloons. As she walked through she looked for somewhere that looked comfortable enough to sleep for an hour or so. The stress had really worn on her and she needed her dose. She found a vendor cart toward the edge of the fair and she plopped down next to one of the wooden wheels, propping herself against it. She pulled her brown leather jacket in around herself and her shaking hands reached in the pocket for her canister of caedes vires. She hated every second of this bullshit as it carried onward. What would people think? She already knew the answer, though. It would be completely biased. One-sided. No one would listen to her side. 'Yeah, I'm a junkie but I don't have a choice.' They would laugh and turn her away like a fool. As the thoughts bore on, her dignity died a little more, and her suffering eased as she poured the vial once again down her throat.

" Nice weather huh?" Jynx chirped happily, despite the obvious gloom of the strom clouds above. she loved every type of weather, or so it seemed.. she was in her human form, sitting on a slim banner rope above Thais's head.. her gaze upward as she swung her elf-toed shoes cheerfully. She had fallowed Thais from the edge of the camp, at first intending to ask her why she came on a closed night.. but the woman was too somber, needed to laugh. " Well..!" she flipped from the rope, her left foot catching on it just in time.. in the same movement she pulled a jokers hat from her uniform, the bells jingling as she placed it upon her head.. somehow keeping it on against gravities wishes.
Upside down and only a two feet from Thais, she gave a elegant bow.. her hat once again chiming happily. " Welcome to Cirque de Noir!" her expression was, of course, open and happy.

Startled at the sudden voice emitting around her, she crushed the glass vial in her hand, partially out of reflexes and partially in an attempt to hide it in a hurry. She scattered the bits of glass from her hands, pretending it was dust in her palms. After a moment of looking at the girl she stood up.
"I've been here once before... Weather was better then too, heh..." Thais reminisced the last time she was here. The pompous man making a move on her... Her fist colliding with his face, many times over...
"This must be your cart-" Thais motioned toward the one she was seconds before leaning on, "I'm sorry, I was only looking for somewhere warm... Your cart broke the breeze..." Her voice was even and smooth, as she tried to explain her actions.
