I watched the brief converstation between the two friends and smiled a little. That's when Akira's friend turned his attention to myself and offered his hand. I shook his hand and nodded a bit. "Nice to meet you I'm Hotaru, Hotaru Tomoe." I said in response.

I was shocked. I stammered, "Tomoe? Your adopted parents wouldn't possibly be Haruka Tenoh, Michiru Kaioh, and Setsuna Meioh, would they?

That's when Shinichi's list shocked me. I looked at Hotaru, and gasped, "Is that true? One of your adopted parents is Michiru Kaioh?"

I nodded at Shinichi then looked at Akira. "Yes, Michiru Kaioh is one of my adoptive parents. Is something wrong with that?" I asked worriedly. I had never had this happen before and it made me a little uneasy.

I smiled, "Akira likes Michiru."
(Akira)
I stated, "I admire her, Shinichi. Like Michiru, I too am a violinist. People her are saying I'm as good as Michiru... I just think that I need a little more time to match up with her in terms of my violin skills. I would be honored if I actually had her as a teacher."
I looked at Hotaru and smiled sadly, "You're lucky to have Michiru as one of your adopted parents. At least you have people that actually care for you. Other than my friends, I don't know where people may be compassionate."

I nodded in understanding. As I listened to Akira I felt sad then I clapped my hands together. "Akira why don't you come over after school. I mean only if you're not busy. I'm sure Michiru-mama would like to meet and talk with you." I offered. The truth was that I knew she'd love to meet him and anyone else who wanted to come. That's just the way Michiru-mama was.

I thought about Hotaru's offer. I had been tired from helping out nonprofit organizations, and I wanted to help people. However, meeting THE Michiru Kaioh would not only be a plus for me, I'd actually be ABLE to brag about that to my rival, Daisuke!
I chuckled, "Sure. Why not? It's not as if Haruka is going to KILL you for bringing a boy like me to your home, right?"

I laughed nervously at frist then figured that Michiru-mama and Setsuna-mama would protect me if need be. "Of course not." I responded. I only hoped I sounded convincing.

That's when the rest of the students were coming in. I said, "We'll continue this conversation later, Hotaru. Class is starting."

I nodded in both understanding and agreement. I mildly wondered if Haruka-papa would be angry with me. I didn't think so but then sometimes it was hard to tell. I let out an tiny sigh and looked around the room at some of the students. Maybe I could ask Setsuna-mama to come pick me and Akira up on her way home. I decided I would try that and looked up at the front of the room.

The teacher, Mr. Harumi finally came in and said, "Welcome to a new year of Strata Academy. We have some familiar faces here, as well as some new students here."
Mr. Harumi looked at Hotaru and smiled, "Ah! So you're the new student? Can you please introduce yourself to the class?"

I felt myself grow nervous but I stood anyway. I glanced around me then looked directly at the teacher again. "Hello I am Hotaru Tomoe." I said quietly then sat back down quickly.

After 45 minutes of the class rules, the bell sounded, meaning it was time for the second course. I stood up and walked to Hotaru's desk. I grinned, "Next up, First Aid!"
(Shinichi)
I slowly smiled at Hotaru, "That's one of Akira's favorite subjects. His true favorite is the course after that. Which would be World History."

I looked at Akira as he told me about the subject change then I looked at Shinichi. I quickly looked back at Akira. "It would seem that we have more in common than I originally thought." I commented. "World History happens to be my favorite as well." I informed them.

After most of the students left, I opened the door for Hotaru and I smiled, "So it would seem. Again, after you, my lady."
(Shinichi)
I grinned, "You know, Akira, you would make a perfect knight."
(Akira)
I nodded, "Perhaps, however, Saturn's pretty tough. I'm not so sure she'd need a knight in shining armor like myself to protect her.

I smiled and stepped out the door and moved to let the others out. At the comment of Saturn not needing someone I turned to look at the boys but directed my statement more to Akira. "What makes you so certain that she doesn't?" I asked making sure not to seem angry or rude. I kept my voice generally curious. "Everyone needs someone to protect them at times." I stated.
