I feel even more stupider now that you had to explain that to me >.<
Edit; i looked up mold breaker and realized that it will make the abilty levitate useless. So im sorta confused, will a Rampardos using Earthquake against a Fan Rotom. It wont hit regardless correct?

Earthquake won't land against Fan Rotom regardless because Mold Breaker doesn't affect immunities granted by types (only abilities), in this case the Flying type, which could be a benefit obtained by Fan Rotom that it didn't have in Platinum. Too bad Rotom doesn't learn Roost, else that would be an interesting "double standard" to see abused.
Too bad there wasn't a good Mold Breaker user in Platinum. So it isn't really a benefit. And I think the boons granted by the Ghost type were greater than those of this redundancy.
Seeing how many Pokemon now have access to Mold Breaker, I think the redundancy is well placed, especially seeing how it would seem strange to change Fan Rotom's ability when none of the abilities of the other formes didn't change as well. And let's face it, if we go so far as to say they should of changed the Formes' abilities, then frankly Heat Rotom would be ruined without having Levitate turn it's x4 weaknesses to the common EQ into an immunity.
My point was simply that it isn't a benefit it could've had in Gen Four because back then, it wouldn't have been beneficial. Now though, yes the redundancy can find use.
EDIT: Another rather useless ability in the normal Metagame. The new Ghost/Water type gets Damp. I know it can prove useful in double/triple battles, but in the standard singles mode, it's useless. And with Explosion/Seldestruct losing their defense halving effect, their usage will drop dramatically.
