Robyn grinned, glad to know such companionable...companions. She really was looking forward to hopefully fighting them, although she didn't want to see them sharing the field in the first round. She'd prefer to kick some butts she didn't know before meeting friends.

"I hope we will all grow tired of hearing your praises sung in the next few weeks."

"Drop the "y" from that sentence, and I'll most definitely agree with you on that."

Then Saphen added to the compliments as well, and she couldn't help but smile at his exaggerated, yet fitting bow.

themightyjello
"...it seems to be getting livelier in here."

Anson's statement brought her attention back to the main ballroom area, where she noticed a few confrontations beginning to start. Tempers were getting raised, especially amongst so many people used to being the center of attention. And not everyone was fighting for the reasons she and her current companions were, for the sake of good competition, but for darker reasons, the reasons Selene enjoyed her fighting.

Anson excused himself, and she was in the middle of a polite bow when the door crashed open, causing her to nearly jump a foot in the air as it splintered into hundreds of tiny pieces. She spun around, claws unsheathing unconsciously as she stared at the new entrant. Her guarded look slowly changed into an "is he insane?" look as he spoke, her head tilted to the side as if he was some curiosity to be understood. Was he really going to just go and beat people into submission until he "earned" his spot among the 64?

Then two people strode forward to meet his challenge, and it seemed that a fight was breaking out. Stepping back a few feet, Robyn didn't want to be caught near this insane person. Looking over at Saphen, she spoke, her tone seemingly unaffected by the current happening, although her ears were swiveling to make sure she didn't miss anything. "Seems the expected has finally occurred, although I'm somewhat surprised it didn't happen sooner. The reason is...interestin', though."

She took another glance at the fight, wincing when the stupid kid got headbutted. "I'm thinkin' maybe we should head to another part of the room..."

Joseph took another swig from his bottle.
“Yah see that shite folk? He ignored my call out. He may have flattened that guy, but he is being a p***y by not accepting my challenge!”
It was clear that Joseph’s ego combined with the alcohol was making him to cocky for his own good.
“Heh and to think I wanted to fight a b***h like him!”

So that's another two (Roen and Ebris) who did the whole PAY ATTENTION TO ME BECAUSE I AM AWESOME bullshit for their entrance. Esouna's stance on these Gaians' mentality strengthened. All they wanted was to be the very best, and 2nd was worthless.

The fairy curled up her sensory wings to expose less area, so the angry man's explosive yelling wouldn't be so grating. Then, she simply floated towards the refreshments table, keeping herself out of this man's path of beatdown. In a way, he reminded Esouna of herself--muscley and filled with rage. That certainly disconcerted the fairy...

Was she becoming too much like these Gaians? She lowered herself onto the table and sat, appearing rather unhappy. To get her mind off her cultural trouble, the fairy reached to her side and picked up a plate with cake on it. Cue munching.

In contrast to the heaping mountain of man that was Ebris, the next person to make an entrance was remarkably low key. If anything, the blue-haired stranger was making a point to avoid attention; he had seen the obliteration of the much abused door, and preferred to keep well out of the bruiser's reach.

So he slipped in all quiet like, and started edging along the wall. It was a mixed blessing of sorts, to follow Ebris through the door; most folk would hardly notice the skinny weirdo with the blue hair in comparison to a brutal display of knuckles and barbarism that had cleared out an impromptu ring just inside the room. That gave him ample chance to fade into the crowd, one (woefully underdressed) fish in the pond. The young blood found a convenient place along one of the walls where he could sit and observe without having to be too close to the tide of humanity that pressed in on his every step; now it boiled down to watching the proceedings and repeating to himself that the ball was not an excuse to make a damn fool of himself.

And that's what did the Jimbo in.

See, Ebris was currently too busy getting his hears clogged with the blood of poor Johnny, whose face was beginning to grow more and more like one of the entrees resting upon the nearby tables. However, not even the thickest of the coagulated stuff would stop him from garnering everything.

WHUD

WHUMP

WHACK

...

"Hng?"

Ebris spat out some red stuff - some of his own from a busted lip during his work out, most from the jerking piece of meat in his hands. Blue lil' dots focused in upon the huckin' and jivin' drunkard who was talking just a wee bit too much. Now finally paying attention to the flailing Jimmy Beans, the bounty scum let go of his bestest friend and proceeded to slowly, almost delicately, reach over and pluck the man off his feet.

He brought him close, real close, looked him deep in the eye...

A thin, raspy voice.

"Fly for me, son."

And fly he would, as Ebris' body suddenly snapped into action, hurling his weight to his left. The pivoting, the feet movement, etc. - it all helped the large b*****d simply throw the poor boy through the air, right at the smacktalkin' Joseph.

Because rath yes, improvised weaponry.

As soon as Jimmy Beans was done earning his frequent flier miles, Ebris would begin stomping over to introduce himself to the drunk man. Such conversations they would have.

Joseph saw the man coming and dodged, just in time to see Ebris enter his personal space.
“Like I said, I’ll escort you out, and still enjoy my drink!”

Jimbos sent to the morgue: 1/???

Johnny dropped.

Jimmy flew.

"-ieeeeeeeaaaahhhh!?"

It was not by choice that his body folded in on itself to become spherical in shape. It was wind resistance! And it was also that, when you're a PC, NPCs just sort of end up doing what you want.

Ebris wanted a strike. And that's what he was going to get.

Because rath yes, returning improvised weapons.

Hoyeah, he was coming back! Flying at the guy's head after bouncing off a springing hanging banner.

Iopurl was watching the festivities from one of the various food tables laid around the edge of the ballroom. He'd finished eating for a while, and now he lent against a table, a toothpick gingerly picking stray bits of meat from his teeth. Every strand he wiggled lose soon found it's way down his throat.

For the most part the Beast had been impartial to the fight happening in the center of the room, but when Ebris had flung the younger youth at the drunkard he decided it was time that someone stepped in. Flicking the toothpick away he hopped up onto the stage and began his slow walk to the scene.

The scent of blood filled his nostrils with every step. The deep coppery tang brought renewed vigor to his saliva. As much as he walked like a human, the blood of the animal still ran deep within him. With a quick lick of his chops he knelt down over the boy with no face.

Apart from the odd twitch he really wasn't moving off his own accord. With a clawed hand the beast turned the boy's head left then right. The neck didn't seem broken, which was promising. Perhaps one day he might be able to say his own name again, with false teeth and a lot of magic. A damn shame.

He hadn't intended on fighting tonight, but someone had to put down the brute in front of him. It might as well be him. He figured the size difference between the two of them wasn't too much, and Iopurl was armed.

"Listen Shitforbrains, If you're as smart as you are ugly you'll stop where you are and leave. Now."

Ebris would have his back turned to Iopurl as he yelled this. Hopefully the Beast would stop him in time before he could strike down the drunkard. His toes reflexively began tapping on the floor. The claws at the end of each one made a sharp clicking noise through the room.

"Oh man..."

In came the hulking behemoth that was Ebris. Yasuo had remembered mention of the HoH '09 winner several times through his experience back in Latent. "Dragon Miner" some called him, while others mentioned he was nothing short of a monster of a human being - if he could even be called that at this point. Ebris always was a different one, or so Yasuo assumed...

The shinobi attempted to ignore what had been going on as well, but things were really starting to heat up. This random guy gets a headbutt from the mountain of flesh that had just barged in, and then he retorts with trying to bash his hands across Ebris' head like it'd do something. This was going to get way out of hand, really really quickly by the sounds of it. He couldn't even get the girls name at this point - he felt he needed to get out of the way of what was obviously headed to the center of the arena.

And as such, he used his chivalrous teachings and dragged the Fae along with him.

The doors opened slowly, allowing for a slightly dramatic effect, the opening of the doorway clear for only a moment.. A cool breeze swept in allowing for the entrance to gain a little bit more attention..

Then, as the patrons looked back towards the ornate double doors, the unthinkable happened.

All music stopped... Only to be replaced by..

MUUUSSSSAAACCC!!!

As the intro completed seamlessly, the entrance doors slammed shut, having already allowed the newest to join the party goers numbers. As Cyril made his way in, prancing and dancing to the silly tune, it took only but a moment for the others to notice..

HE WAS STARK NAKED... ALL BUT FOR HIS CUTE LITTLE PINK TIE.

He made his way through the small crowd seeming to only adore one others entrance, someone he sought out for the sheer entertainment of himself. Cyril continued to prance through the crowd, making his way forward, his flaccid being, flipping flopping about happily to the tune, somehow not as excited as it should probably have been..

Coming ever closer to his target, he came with the largest of smiles, pearly white teeth showing through, and a distant gleam in his eyes.. Finally, he found them.. Roen and Ever... Coming right up to the glorious Roen, his arms lifted high, fist pumping to the beat, and the flopping glory moving to the rhythm of his most scintillating music, Cyril could only smile..

"You like this song? This song kind of makes me want to party.. I kind of want to party right now!"

And with that, this unclothed specimen continued to encircle his newest victims, dancing happily to the beat of his music.

Lifting his gloved hand, the vampire stifled a yawn. He was both bored and mildly annoyed by the increase of guests to the event. It was no surprise that he was least-pleased by Ebris' arrival, though he inwardly reminded himself that such antics were to be expected from the man. If there was something reliable about the brute, it was volume. The others that had arrived were more or less inconsequential.

When it came to violence though, the vampire could not afford the luxury of disinterest. Without much thought to the issue he found himself gravitating away from the conflict, his eyes falling shut as the darkness of his mind became illuminated with throbbing lights. Each heart, each web of arteries and veins were like neon lights to him, throbbing or flashing as their pulses permitted.

In afterthought, he came to realize that he had unwittingly placed himself between the ladies room and the dancefloor. It was only after he'd completed his trip ( unsurprisingly he didn't bump into anyone, because, vampires are wiggy like that ) that he opened his eyes and sighed. If Seyumi rushed to heal someone or dissuade the violence he would make an attempt to stop her. Partly because he didn't want her getting backhanded or manhandled, and partly because he stood poised to consume all the spilled blood of the party.

"Hm?" A perplexed Rylen caught only the tail end of what Isabella had suggested, but her intentions became perfectly clear when she started to pull him away from the dance floor and towards one of the exits. He cast a few quick glances around the ballroom on the way out for anything of interest, but otherwise the half-wolf offered no form of resistance. He followed her obediently out into the fresh night air as she pulled on his arm like a leash.

It felt really nice to get outside. The ballroom was indeed stuffy in more ways than one to someone with heightened senses like him. He had grown accustomed to spending most of his nights outdoor anyway, so if anything he felt far more relaxed under the placid night sky filled with comfortingly familiar stars. The cool breeze felt refreshing when accompanied by the warmth of their bodies as she pressed into him for a tight embrace. He took her into his arms without hesitation, holding her closely and resting his head over hers.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." He said coolly. Being with her out under the stars allowed him to completely forget about the tournament for a while, so he let himself get swept away in the time they spent holding each other and conversing outside.

Time seemed to have stood still outside. The band could still be heard, but all of the commotion that was starting inside of the hall was of little concern to Isabella. This was still a peaceful, a magical night, and she didn't think there was anything that could possibly ruin it. Well, maybe if a few of the crazies managed their way from the hall, but that didn't seem to likely. They wanted the attention, and they would get that attention in the middle of the crowd, not dragging their conflicts out here where there wasn't really anyone to bear witness.

Isabella swayed slightly in Rylen's embrace, as if she were dancing with him all alone underneath the stars. She just leaned into his body, her eyes closed, letting their bodies carry her. She was really happy, if only this could last forever. It was kind of funny that she had brought him out here to talk, but she had nothing to say. It was difficult to express just how comfortable she felt being in his arms again. She felt safe, she felt excited, she felt love, and she felt plenty of other emotions being close to him. Her hands moved to his arms, she was about ready to just rip off his sweater so she could be even closer to him.

But then it happened, a very aggressive rattling sound in her purse. It lasted for a few seconds for stopping and continuing on again. Isabella pulled away and looked at her purse and then to Rylen with an apologetic expression. It kept on going until Isabella completely withdrew herself from Rylen's embrace and searched inside of her purse for the phone. She looked at the lit screen and she sighed. Could there had been any better timing? Again, she looked to Rylen with a bit of embarrassment in her eyes.

"I'm sorry dear, I have to take this. Maybe you should go make some contacts for now and we can meet up at the hotel in a little bit, ok?"

She didn't really give him the time to reply before she had walked off and answered the urgent call. It must had been pretty important business if Dayo was bothering her after she specifically said to leave her be while she was away. But she had to be reasonable, it was important that if a friend needed a favor that she at least hear it out. Besides, having her date interrupted would probably catch her a pretty big favor in return. But like with any other cat, after a few moments, just with a blink, she was out of sight.

So many big and flashy entrances. Seemed like tons of people though highly of themselves. However, for Archie, that didn't matter at all. He didn't know a single person hear. That didn't mean though that he didn't really like them. No that wasn't the case at all. He loved them. These big entrances go the attention of the people in the room. That meant that he could go around and pick up pieces of silverware easier. By this point he had chucked up about ten or twelve different pieces from multiple different tables. This place was a gold mine. Plus the food and drink wasn't that half bad either. He gave a small laugh moving around the room trying not to jingle to loud.
