☼ ☼☼ Once you touch a person’s heart, you leave a lasting impression no one else can erase. ☼  "And I'm not that little." she grumbled, closing her eyes as she focused. As much as she concentrated, she couldn't seem to tap into her power. For Atticus, it was an amusing show of expressions as she tried. Feeling mentally strained, she paused, looking at her teacher. "Master… I'm not sure if I can use my power right now," Kylee stated, feeling like a failure already. "It's like… I can only use it sporadically. It doesn't always work if I try to use it at will."

He knew he had to tap into the power somehow,"Ain't that the reason why we're training, kid? You have to find a way to control your powers. What is your emotion when you have activated your powers?" ☼☼☼ Once you touch a person’s heart, you leave a lasting impression no one else can erase. ☼ Straining her head, she rubbed her temples in an effort to remember. "I don't know… It's always just happened randomly, and usually… usually I'm trying… to…" her voice trailed off as she slowly figured it out. Taking a deep breath to help calm her down, she began to concentrate. Holding her hands out, she tried to focus her energy into one spot in front of her. A few minutes passed before a small, blotchy circle of light appeared in front of her. Giving a small smile, she stepped through it, trying to concentrate on ending up next to Atticus. A few minutes later, she appeared up in the crow's nest. Blinking, she freaked out as she tried to figure out exactly where she was. Looking down, she saw her master and gave a sigh of relief. At least I didn't go to another world… Looking around, she fidgeted nervously. "Er… Master? How do I get down from here?"

★Even if they seem to last forever As he sighed, Atticus grabbed a pipe from the left of him, throwing it up at the crow's nest in which made it fall, making Kylee fall. Atticus sighed as he took two steps forward, catching Kylee with both arms. He chuckled as he looked at his apprentice, knowing that he wants to help her out with her powers,"You remind me of someone...very power. Yet someone used him for their own demonic ways."
All of a Sudden, a flashback appears within his mind. The memory of when he met Desmond Nanashi, his brother, truly for the first time. He was only 17 years of age during a war that no one had ever heard of. He was a captive of Soviet Russia in which he was tied against a wooden chair, his face bloody and bashed against. It was a scary moment for him. This was 3 years before he had met his now deceased wife. He tried to get out, only to get punched in the face acouple more times. He felt his heart beating out of his chest. He was so scared. He tried to keep his watch on his wrist yet when the guard saw it, he took it and walked away with it. Atticus' mother owned that watch. He was ticked. When he got up, he noticed someone breaking in slamming his fists against their guts and his 12inch boot up between their legs. The guard was distracted which gave enough time for Atticus to strike. He ran up to the guard, performing a front flip with the chair still tied around his arms and waist. He then slammed the chair against the guard, one of the legs slamming into his neck which both the chair and the guard's neck broke. He groaned as he untied himself, groaning as he noticed the man, the same eyes as him. He groaned again as he noticed the man leave as he saw some U.N.I.T. soldiers run in, asking if he was alright. Atticus sighed in which he looked at his watch that was around the corpse's wrist, putting it around his own,"I wanted to get my watch back..."
Atticus' flashback ended, shacking his head inwhich he let Kylee down, smiling with a soft blush mark on his cheeks,"Sorry about that." A nightmare however, is very different★

☼☼☼ Once you touch a person’s heart, you leave a lasting impression no one else can erase. ☼ Screaming all the way down, Kylee let out a grunt when Atticus caught her. Her hat plopped down on her head comically, but she didn't think it was very funny. Though she had a complaint on the tip of her tongue, it was instantly squashed by Atticus' words. Kylee felt a bit of regret as her master seemed to go to a far off world, probably remembering that person. "I'm sorry to have reminded you of that person." she said softly when Atticus finally put her down. Not sure why he was blushing, Kylee began to turn a light pink also, more so because of how she had acted. "J-just tell me when you're gonna do that next time. I don't like falling much." Trying to cool down, Kylee went about fixing her hat and hair.

★Even if they seem to last forever As he chuckled from what his apprentice had said, Atticus cracked his knuckles, sitting onto a bench at the side of the ship,"Well...for tonight, we should rest. You can take my bed. Not like I use it anyway."
He then layed on the bench, stairing at the stars as he smiled brightly, thinking about the adventures of his brother and him. The untold story of their time together. A nightmare however, is very different★

★Even if they seem to last forever Feeling hung over from the drinking he did during the night when he couldn't sleep, Atticus slid a cigarette between his lips, feeling the heat of the sun bashing against his hood which made him feel sweaty. When he got up, he felt a bit tipsy until he gained his balanced, walking over to the railing to see that it was raining only with no clouds. He knew that it was strange yet was able to do with commen knowledge. He moved his hand out to catch a raindrop, only to find out that the raindrop wasn't made out of water, but from liquified knowledge. Very strange indeed. He sat down, whipping his hands on his cloak as he waited for his apprentice to there, his mind only thinking that this was just a side effect of the hangover. A nightmare however, is very different★

☼☼☼ Once you touch a person’s heart, you leave a lasting impression no one else can erase. ☼ Giving a hesitant bob of her head, she headed towards what she thought was the captain's room. "Good night, Master. And… thanks." Kylee said softly, shutting the door quietly behind her. Looking around the room, she quickly found the bed and plopped down on it. She was careful to not touch any of Atticus' things, just in case he was touchy about his stuff. Curling up on the bed, she quickly slipped into sweet slumber. Groaning a bit when she awoke, Kylee shielded her face from the bright sunlight. It took a couple seconds for her mind to catch up with her body, but soon she was straightening the bed and fixing her clothes. Stepping out of the cabin, she felt the rain come down upon her as she walked over to the railing. Standing by Atticus, she waited for him to speak first as she didn't really know what to say.

He sighed as he straightened his back as he looked around, the rain stopping. He knew it ment something yet he didn't feel like explaining at the time,"Ready to do more training?" ☼☼☼ Once you touch a person’s heart, you leave a lasting impression no one else can erase. ☼ "Right." Kylee replied, walking across the deck to stand a good distance away from Atticus. Taking a deep breath, she focused her power exactly like the previous attempt. The portal appeared slightly faster this time, though it was still unfocused at the edges. As she stepped through, her stomach gave a tiny hungry gurgle, distracting her for a second. This time, she ended up in the ship's kitchen, to the surprise of the crew and herself. Offering many apologies, Kylee opened up another portal, quickly hopping through without much thought to where she wanted to go. Popping back out onto the deck, she ended up right behind the helmsman. Looking around, she spotted Atticus farther away and slumped her shoulders. Now's not the time to be getting depressed! she tried telling herself, creating another portal in a few minutes. Stepping through again, she ended up on the exact opposite side of the ship this time. Looking back, she smacked her forehead in frustration. Taking deep, meditative breaths, she took a mental picture of where she wanted to land. Trying once more, she disappeared into nonexistence for a good five minutes before landing on her butt in front of her master. Rubbing the sore spot, she groaned as she got to her feet. "I'm sorry… I can't seem to get it…" Kylee apologized, her shoulders sagging with defeat.

★Even if they seem to last forever Groaning from the failing attemps, he desided to do something else. Atticus snatched Kylee's hat quickly, disappearing and reappearing on the top of the sail, holding it with his index finger and thumb,"Get your hat." A nightmare however, is very different★

☼☼☼ Once you touch a person’s heart, you leave a lasting impression no one else can erase. ☼ "Hey!!!!" She cried out, trying to grab her hat back. He had disappeared before she could even touch the fabric, to her frustration. Hearing his voice coming from above, she snapped her head up to see where he was. Groaning softly, she tried to think of a way so that she wouldn't get herself killed. She couldn't exactly just walk out of her portal like always; her balance wasn't that good. Still… she did like having her hat. Frowning, she gave a short glare to Atticus before she tried again. Her hand glowed softly, and some instinct told her exactly what to do. Holding her hand up, she drew a circle in the air with her palm. This time, the portal was in focus unlike her previous attempts. She stepped in, disappearing from sight into the light. Moments later, another circle of light appeared near Atticus with Kylee flying out of it. Diving for her hat, she missed by a good half foot. Cursing, she drew another portal in front of her, disappearing from sight again. Another portal appeared above Atticus, and she came falling out of the portal. Stretching her arm, she made an attempt to grab her hat again.
