(They' re working together to save Valencia, because they don't have the key so he need to keep onto neomi so he doesn't lose her in the process.)

Neomi swam even faster, gritting her teeth. But when Jared wouldn't quit, she whipped around quickly just enough to see him on the ground, blood coming from his nose, Aster standing over him. She swam over and took Jared's hand, helping him up and smiling. "You okay?" She whispered to him, knowing Aster could hear. Hopefully the boy mermaid was smart enough to know she was fooling Jared. Then she kissed Jared on the cheek, and wiped his nose before it floated off into the water. Giggling, she pulled him into her arms, and hugged him tight, maybe just a little too tight. "I missed you!" She cried. She looked at Aster and winked, pointing behind Jared's back at Aster, and showing him the keys were hanging from Jared's belt loop. All she mouthed was 'Key's and she knew he had it.
Jared, confused, hugged her back, but when he tried to get out, she just held him tighter. He smiled. She was just pretending. She thought he was really dumb, didn't she? He pulled away with all his strength, and played along for a bit. "I knew you loved me." Then he kissed her, his back turned away from Aster, so he could watch him. He threw his arms around her waist, deepening the kiss.
Neomi, panicked, looked over at Aster, but also played along. What would they do then? Jared knew! She just had a feeling..

Jared rolled his eyes and pulled away from Neomi, slapping her in the face. "Of coarse I know, you stupid mermaids." He punched Aster in the gut, making him double over. He laughed.
Neomi angrily slapped Jared, screaming at him. She kicked him in the nuts, and watched as he shouted in pain, and fell to the ground. He was unconcious.
Neomi quickly went over to Aster and helped him up. "You okay?" She asked, worried.

Neomi cocked her head at him, confused for a moment. "Huh?" She asked. Then she realized what he meant, and she blushed. She took his hand and then looked at it, apologizing quickly.
Jared looked around him slowly, looking up at the two of them. Peeved, he stood back up and glared at them, but smiled. "I'm sure you have all enjoyed your hits on me, but I think your little friend will pay the price for it. What was her name? Balencia? Calencia? Oh that's right..Valencia." He went over and yanked on Neomi's hand then let it go, swimming away to the cave fast.

(oh wow am I stupid.... I totally forgot that what one of my characters does to Jared might not be to great in the outcome of the other.....LOL!........I'm so stupid! rofl )
Valencia tensened as Jared entered the cave, her eyes seering with anger and spite.

*HA It's okay, just go on.*
Jared looked at Valencia and winked then a few feet away, dangled the keys in front of her face. "Are you looking for these?" He asked, then laughed. He stepped back before she could try anything, hid them, and then swept over to her, picking her up in a fluid motion. Kissing her, he forced her head down to his, then he pulled back panting. He set her down again, turned around quickly, and stepped into the shadows to wait for Neomi and Aster.
Neomi sighed and angrily and nodded towards Aster, pulling his hand. "Come on. I don't want Valencia hurt. I'll pay for whatever price, but I don't want her to. This was my problem that got started, and I'm going to finish it." She seethed, willing him to follow her. She looked him in the eyes outside the cave, kissed his cheek, and entered slowly, looking around for Jared.

Valencia knew it useless to fight against him but did any way as he forced her head to his. Where were Neomi and Aster?

Niel's eyes slowly opened as he began to awaken. His eyes were listless and glassed over and his mind was a complete mess. It would take Niel a while to get his thoughts back in order, and until then, he would lie on the bottom of the cave, staring emotionlessly at his surroundings.

Neomi saw Niel was awake, and she ran in, waving her arms wildly at the both of them. "Oh! Valencia! Over here!" Now that she had gotten Valencia's attention, they would have to figure out a plan. But not here. She could sense Jared somewhere in the room. She growled but sang, hiding her annoyance, "Oh Jerry!" She laughed at her old pet name for him. She walked around the cave calling, "Jerry! Come out, come out where ever you are!" She laughed cheerily, although she wanted to tear him to bits inside.
Jared hissed, then stepped out in front of Neomi. He winked and then whispered, "Write here, Neo! You called?" Then he laughed on the outside, enjoying himself. They didn't stand a chance against him, but yet, here they were, ready to fight. Then he read Neomi's thoughts and rolled his eyes. "You really think you can beat me?"
Neomi seethed, then continued to smile. It was now getting a little creepy. She could sense everyone tense at the question. She sighed out loud, not knowing she had been about to burst because she had held her breath since he had stepped out of the dark. "Oh, I know we can. Even though you have our friends, you are tied right around are pinky finger." Neomi walked towards him, until she was right up close, and when he was not paying attention, only to Niel since he woke up, she grabbed his keys and a knife she found hidden under his shirt and in his shoe. She laughed cheerily and swam over to Valencia and Niel ina blur, slicing Niel's rope and turning the key into the lock on Valencia's. She heard a rope fall to the floor and chains rattle, then fall silent. She turned around and laughed. "What are you going to do now, Jerry? It's 4 against one."
Jared rolled his eyes. "You think." He played right along, enjoying her little game.
