"If you've taught me all you know of Katon Ninjutsu, then that will be all I need from you," he said, starting to walk away. He then stopped and turned back, continuing his speech, "Unless," he stated loudly, "you would be able to help me out with awakening the power of the Sharingan. The test is to prove yourself by surpassing your usual limits in a situation of near-death. If you don't mind, I guess we can have ourselves a bit of a death match in order to force out the powers of my eyes."

 AquaLaurent Konoha Genin l Weapon Master l Student of the 5 Elements l Chakra: 35 l Stamina: 28 "I'm sorry Lady Kaede, but it seems I am not a worthy student. I'll take my leave now," Aqua stated, bowing her head to Kaede and taking off. Both times Kaede wanted to teach her something that she wasn't capable of doing, so there was no point in sticking around. What she really needed to learn was elemental manipulation. Maybe if she found the Hokage, she could get pointers on how to manipulate the different elements.

Daichi Mayu
| Leaf Genin | Weapon Master Class | Mayu Bloodline | This is going to be a loooooooooooong day if I don't focus and get this over with.... Daichi thought as Kaede wiped out and then performed the technique. He watched closely and listened to her explanation, put the scroll and his walking stick on the ground, then pulled a shuriken from his projectile pouch and dropped it on the ground in one fluid motion. Handsigns were formed as the projectile fell to the ground, and just as the tip hit the ground, he focused his chakra flow so that a current of wind formed underneath the projectile. It took a moment to get the current strong enough, but eventually the shuriken rose up and plopped into his hand as he ended the technique. Hmm, that was simple enough. Now onto the Retrieving Wind Technique. {Wind Levitation Training: 1/1 Complete}

Kaede

Kaede didn't bother to watch the blue haired girl walk away from the group. If she didn't want to train now, that was okay. Eventually, the training would come to her. At least, that was what the Famu-Famu were saying. When Daichi already knew what he wanted, Kaede clapped and hopped up and down. "That is very good, Sith Lord Mayu!" Kaede tossed Mr. Fluffykins away from her, letting it land in the grass. "Now, if you are ever day-dreaming and making shapes out of the clouds, you probably don't want to get up. But what if the snack you packed is just out of reach? Then you can- A bunny!" She shouted, pointing up at a cloud that looked nothing like a bunny. "Anyway, you'll be able to pull something towards you by manipulating the wind. This time, if you are strong enough, you can pull animals and people~" Kaede formed the seals, and motioned to the bunny-doll. Mr. Fluffykins lifted off of the ground, and floated over to her. The whole act gave the bunny an odd ethereal appearance.
Hanpatsu Kaze no Jutsu (Retrieving Wind Technique)
Description: Creating a small gust of wind, the user utilizes it to push towards them instead of away, specifically to push nearby objects towards them. Those with ok or so Power will only be able to push small objects about the size of a kunai or shuriken towards them, while someone with great Power can push large animals and even people.

| Leaf Genin | Weapon Master Class | Mayu Bloodline | ...I'm never going to get to live this outfit down am I? *sigh* And of course, like a fool, he looked up at the clouds for a few seconds trying to see the cloud that looked like a bunny. Mentally kicking himself, he watched her perform the technique from behind his impassive mask as he put the shuriken back in its pouch. With a sly grin on his face indicative of his desire to get back at her for the constant stabs at his choice of outfit (however justified she and Misuki may be in their observations), he performed the handsigns and gestured at the bunny doll she had just used the technique on. As the technique tugged on the bunny in an effort to dislodge it form her grasp, he stuck his tongue out a little even though she wouldn't be able to see it. {Wind Retrieval Technique: 1/1 Complete}

Kaede
[Jounin] [ Weapon Master] [ Queen of the Famu-Famu] [ NPC ]
Kaede was going to congratulate Daichi, until he started pulling on Mr. Fluffykins. Kaede, who was generally happy and a bit insane, narrowed her eyes. A dark aura seemed to envelope her as she smirked, showing her teeth. One eye twitched a bit, and Kaede let go of the doll. "Mr. Fluffykins does not liked to be toyed with!" She said, in an eerily creepy voice. Her hands came together in a few seals, and then the wind whipped around her quickly. The doll was picked up in the wind, and began to spin all around her. "Do not abuse the force, Darth Mayu-chan!" She said. Kaede plucked the doll from the armor of wind, and began to prance in a little circle. "The Armor I have created is made of Wind, creatively named Armor of Wind! It is not very far across, exactly 5 feet in radius. Little bits and pieces of whatever is around will get picked up, and be added onto the armor. This means, projectiles are utterly pointless~" Kaede said, now walking on her hands. "Taijutsu users would be wise to not attack, due to the things flying around. It only lasts for a bit, so keep track of the time. Now, give it a try. Use the force for good!" Kaede said, the wind now shooting away from her.
Kaze no Yoroi (Armor of Wind)
Description: The user utilizes his chakra and the wind around him to create a whirlwind around himself. The wind forms a circle around the user, five feet in radius, so ten feet in diameter. The wind picks up debris and acts as armor for the user. The wind armor lasts for three posts. Debris on the ground strengthens the armor and projectiles thrown towards the wind also become part of the armor. Taijutsu is dangerous for the attacker to use against the armor considering the debris it can pick up and whip around within the wind.
...any attack D-rank below attack will be stopped, but will shorten the post duration of this jutsu by one post per hit. A C-rank attack will pass through the barrier, destabilizing the jutsu, but the armor will not fully dispel until the next post (it will still block 1 barrage of non-enhanced projectiles or un-named tai/kenjutsu strike) and will reduce the damage of the attack by 1 rank. Otherwise, without being hit the armor can last for 3 posts, at which point the air dissipates and all of the flying debris is dropped to the ground. This jutsu reduces the visibility of the user of because of the debris, but at the same time obscures opponent(s) view of the user. If you pay double the cost for this jutsu, its duration changes to 5 posts, but it then has a 2 post cool-off once the jutsu ends.

Setsuna waited for a really, really long while. However, there was no answer to her call. Now then, there were two possibilites: 1) Mikomi Hyuuga was not in the training grounds or 2) Mikomi Hyuuga did not hear her shout. To be extra careful, the girl decided to go with the second option first. Turning around swiftly on the spot, the girl did one full turn then another partial one as she stopped so that she intentionally faced the familiar figure of Daichi and the unfamiliar of a girl with a doll. They seemed the most active and Setsuna already knew Daichi so why not?
"Mr. Helmet-head! Mr. Helmet-head!" Setsuna called out eagerly as she sprinted over to the pair. A large smile was on her face and her arms were waving around wildly in the air. When she stopped a proper distance away from Daichi (hopefully enough to not be caught in any jutsus), the girl stood stock still and attention. Setsuna continued, using the same silly nickname, but in a serious tone of voice, "Mr. Helmet-head, do you happen to know where Mikomi Hyuuga-sensei is?". The absurdity of the expression was increased by the fact that despite her tone, Setsuna was still smiling widely.

Unfortunately, Mikomi had been so engrossed in training the genin before her that she failed to notice Setsuna calling out to her. Though Lady Hokage had asked her to train the genin everything possible, she couldn't help the boy in this regard. Again she shook her head slightly and tilted is somewhat to the side in slight concern as to why he was so eager to obtain the ability to use the Sharingan. Of course it's powerful, but to willingly look for trouble might put him in a situation he's not ready to handle. "I'm sorry, but the very fact that you're asking means that it won't be a life-or-death situation. You would need to be in genuine danger of being killed or seriously injured, and I can't willingly attempt to deal that amount of damage to a fellow teammate unless the circumstances are extreme. Believe me: you will find plenty of trouble as a shinobi. In time, you fill find yourself in a situation where your live is at stake, but now is not that time."
She then glanced around the training grounds to see if she could catch sight of any of her students who had yet to arrive or return, but still spoke to Nexus. She assumed a more stern tone and folded her hands before her. "Be careful about trying to gain power too fast; that's often the fastest route to ruin as well. I've taught you all the katon ninjutsu I know that you could learn, but if you come by tomorrow, I'll be here with some elemental scrolls and teach you techniques from there." Her eyes then momentarily returned to his form and she gave him a slight bow, indicating that he was no longer under any obligation to stay for the day, and that she had said everything she thought needed to be said.

| Leaf Genin | Weapon Master Class | Mayu Bloodline | At the sight of the demonic lok in Kaede's eyes and expression, Daichi immediately released his pull on the stuffed animal and was content to watch her perform the technique. However, when Kaede continued the fictional evil character reference and Setsuna showed up calling him "mister helmet head," he began to wonder if it would at all be possible for him to erase thoughts from people as they thought them so he would no longer have to suffer the jabs of the two kunoichi. But then again, such attention is one of the reasons I chose to build it. I guess I can't complain that it's doing its job. He spent a few moments analyzing the wind current patterns of the shield, and moved to mimic Kaede's handsigns and current patterns. It only took a couple moments of focus, but eventually the air around him swirled strongly and formed the same shield Kaede had formed. Just before the loose dirt became really obscuring to his sight and those of him, he turned to look at Setsuna and pointed at Mikomi, who was only about 50 meters away talking to another genin, thus indicating that Setsuna should talk to her. {Armor of Wind: 1/1 Complete}

[Genin] [Ranmaru] [Konoha] Although he didn't react immediately because he was still a bit dazed from waking up not too long ago, Manami stared at the little girl with a look simply conveying the message of 'no.' He didn't come to the training grounds to learn ninjutsu, that wasn't his available arsenal was rather limited. Any ninjutsu he learned would be chosen out to best accompany his array of genjutsu. To him it seemed that this 'training exercise' for the whole of Konoha genin would be a failure, at least for him. Not once had he met a person who specialized in genjutsu as he had.
With a frown on his face he turned his back to the little girl, as well as the metal man and walked off the training grounds, running one of his hands through his hair in an attempt to make it look better. "Waking up early for nothing, bah." He said.

Setsuna looked in the direction Daichi was pointing in, saw a girl that looked like she was a Hyuuga, then turned back around and eagerly replied, "Thank you Mr. Hamster!" before turning around and dashing off to her assigned teacher.
When she was withing normal talking distance, Setsuna stopped and bowed politely. In a respectful tone usual and ideal for the occasion, the girl quite normally asked, "Excuse me, are you Mikomi Hyuuga?".

Kaede had a sudden idea, and tossed the doll at Manami. "Hey! Kaede has decided to teach you some genjutsu now! Mr. Fluffykins told her it was okay now! Come and tell Kaede what you wish to learn!" Kaede returned her attentions to Daichi, and closed her hands and reopened them multiple times in his face; single handed clapping. "Pay attention! Kaede won't repeat anything~" She showed him a few hand seals while she spoke. "Now, you shall gather air in the same way as the armor of wind, it will be about 5 feet wide. The wind will spin in a circular motion! Then, if something is thrown at you, it will be reflected at the same exact speed as long as it was a projectile, or some sort of D-rank Jutsu. Anything larger than a foot won't reflect back." Kaede created the same exact shield she had spoken of, and began to tilt her head back and forth like a pendulum of sorts.
Bouseki Tate no Kaze (Spinning Shield of Winds)
Description: Focusing on an area in front of them about 5 feet wide and across, the user dispels chakra to cause the wind to spin rapidly in a circular motion, creating something akin to a shield. Instead of deflecting attacks however the shield will reflect whatever was thrown at them back towards the enemy at the same speed it was fired at, so long as it was some sort of ranged attack. This applies to small projectiles, or D-rank ninjutsu of small enough scale (producing effects no larger then 1 foot in diameter).

[Genin] [Ranmaru] [Konoha] Manami turned around just in time to catch the doll, looking at the peculiar thing and then at the child who was supposed to be teaching him. His face changing back into its usual bored expression, but with only a hint of curiosity. The girl was a child, so why was she of higher rank, and able to teach people? Just the fact alone to him was belittling. However, he noted that even a regular child could still beat him since he wasn't that strong.
He shook his head and slowly approached the girl once more, glancing at the doll and tossing it back to her. "I don't have a preference. I just want to learn all the genjutsu I can."

Kaede retrieved her doll, and put the arm of the rabbit through her belt. She skipped over to a large bag, and pulled out a dusty scroll."Learn all the genjutsu!" She echoed Manami, once more acting childish. Kaede unraveled it, and a load of dust flew out. "Kaede shall apologize, not many genjutsu students come here. Kaede shall not go over the rules of genjutsu, as you know some already." Nobody should question her knowledge, because then the RPer would have to go through some useless points finding this knowledge out. "The first technique Kaede shall dictate is the Double Vision Technique. It is of the distraction type. Performing this technique would cause your target to see double of everything." Kaede flashed the hand seals, and held the last one. She then pointed up a single finger on both hands, putting them side to side. Then, she split them in two, demonstrating what it would be like as if Manami couldn't have figured that out.
Fukushi no Jutsu (Double Vision Technique)
Type: Distraction
Description: This is a simple genjutsu that causes the opponent to see doubles of everything.

Mikomi Hyuuga
[Chuunin] [ Samurai] [ Hyuuga Clan] [ NPC ]
Out of the corner of her eye Mikomi could see a lot of movement and, as she focused her eyes in that direction, noticed it was a young kunoichi dashing toward her. She took a couple steps toward the young girl thinking perhaps there was an emergency but, when she say no signs of distress upon her face, regained her composure and resumed her relaxed yet proper stance. "Yes I am! How can I help you?" she asked with a warm smile and a short bow, returning the respect that the young girl had shown her. Mikomi had wanted to go to Misuki to get the training scroll she would need for the next day but, since there wasn't a huge rush, she decided she could afford to attend to the needs of this new genin before departing. Hopefully I'll be of a little more use to her than the Uchiha, but we'll see.

| Leaf Genin | Weapon Master Class | Mayu Bloodline | Either fortunately or unfortunately, Daichi could not hear Setsuna's reply over the din of the armor of wind, but he could see her form moving off toward where he had pointed, so he assumed it to be some sort of thanks. Shortly after that the armor dispelled and he was able to see Kaede perform the next technique on the list he had requested for her to teach him. Hmm, these all seem pretty simple. Hopefully I'll be able to use them as easily in battle as I'm learning them now. He then applied his chakra outward in a whirlpool-like motion, and not long afterward the spinning shield formed itself before him. He spent a few moments making sure the spiral was tight enough to prevent gaps in its defensive capabilities before ceasing to fuel the jutsu. As he waited for Kaede to proceed with the instruction, he looked over at the newest arrival and had to take a moment to discern the gender of the boy. The fairness of his complexion and hairstyle were quite feminine, but the narrowness of his hips combined with the broadness of his shoulders told Daichi that, to the best of his discerning capabilities, the person was male. Not that it really mattered for the moment though, since the two genin weren't even acquainted, though he had caught a glimpse of the boy the day before at the hospital. {Spinning Shield of Wind: 1/1 Complete}

(OOC: Oh, right, just remembered now that I'm beginning training. Does anyone know if I have access to unlimited E-rank genjutsu or if it's only 3? I tweaked my class so I can use genjutsu.)
The girl replied happily as she brought her hands up to her chest, curling the fingers up so that they resembled a cat's paws, "My name is Loki Setsuna and I have been told that I could be taught by you. I am a katon user who specializes in weapons. Although, I also have some experience with genjutsu." The girl's reply was happy, normal, and for the most part true. The only untrue part was her fake named. However, she showed no signs of having lied about anything. Even if she had, though, there was no reason to suspect an innocent looking eleven year old to lie about her name. The act was completely random, prompted by nothing.
