John opened his mouth to give a sharp retort, but was interrupted by one of the men he was holding. "Jesus! What the hell is your problem, freak? You trying to break my ribs?"
John winced. Had he already...? "No, I--"
"I'M GOING TA F**KING KILL YOU!!!" the thug screamed over him, and began struggling all out. He even tried to bite. The other man stayed quiet... a little too quiet, actually. After a second, John realized that he had fallen asleep.
John dropped the two men unceremoniously to the concrete roof of the building. Here we go. Speaking loudly to be heard over the furious man next to him, he tried to keep his voice even. "No, it's really, REALLY not. I'm asking nicely. PLEASE go away. Now. Really. Please."

Vice chuckled outloud. "Alright, alright....I guess I'll make it easier on you and just...leave." he said.
Then he reappeared behind John, and leaned on one of his shoulders. "But, that'll just mean I'll come visit you another time." he said with a grin. "You will not know when, you will not know where, but I will visit you." he said with a smile, and again vanished. "Although...I suspect there might be a few other people you'll be visiting first."

John spun around, feeling every muscle in his body tighten with unreasoning anger. "God dammit, what does that mean? Do you know what's going on here? DO YOU?" He was under control. He was under control. He had this. Aaaall good.

"Well..." Vice shouted down, reappearing ontop of a tall building next to the one John was currently on. What looked like a cat was curled up in his arms. It was unknown how the cat got there, or how Vice had gotten from point A to point B so quickly. But, black smoke was hard to see when it was invisible, and unaudiable, and it's master had momentary telepathy thanks to one of his wonderous less-used abilities.
"If I had to guess...I'd say this is one of those universal mergin things. Or, as someone else has said, simply the result of too much time, and too much imagination." Vice continued, sitting down on the ledge of the building. "As for who you'd be visiting first...well there's a man in a tux walking down the street over there that you just might recognise. he said, pointing behind him. "Some young teenage kid following him and taunting him. I'm not sure but I'm sure someone like you would want to check it out. Then there's a nice little couple walking down....that way?" Vice said, pointing towards the left of him. "And I'm told that you might find some familiar looking buildings if you make a visit to the Big Apple down there. Actually...word is I'd find it interesting as well."

John drew in a deep, calming breath, and forced his hands--which had been balled into fists-- to relax. "You're being very... helpful," he said frostily, "Let me guess. This is an ambush, right?"

"Not unless you want it to be..." a voice replied from behind John. Other than the two thugs though...there was no one there. Except for a slim black cat that sat comfortably on the corner of the roof. One that looked quite a lot like the cat that was on the ground, and in Vice's arms.
========
Meanwhile, C.C. sat on his little spot next to Cupid and Amora. Grinning ear-to-ear.
Cupid stared for another moment or two, then glanced down at the cat. "What ARE you doing?"
"Cat 'O Nine Tails." C.C. replied simply. "One side of the ability any way." he said as five tails slowly curled out from his own tail. On spurted electricity, one was practically glowing, and one looked like it had been soaked in water. "Don't worry, she's updating my profile so it'll be all nice and detailed for everyone." he continued, then grimmaced. "As well as my weaknesses. Deathly afraid of dogs and water. The only reason I could but Terry is because he doesn't have his little dog with him."
Cupid stared at him a moment, then shook his head and turned his attention elsewhere.

John glanced behind him, blinked, then turned back to Vice glared. "I think you said something about leaving," he said tightly, crossing his arms over his chest. "Do me a favor and take the cats with you."

"Alright...alright...." Vice replied, unfolding his hands and putting them up. The cat that he had been holding simply, floated there. "I'll go. But I'm coming back for a visit when you make yourself more comfortable." he continued, jumping to his feet and glancing behind him. "Guess I could see how long Richy-Rich can hold that temper of his with a pre-teen." he said, vanishing.
The cat that had been with him vanished as well, along with the one on the ground. The cat on the corner of the roof, however, didn't budge.

((Enter Arell, just to see what happens))
Arell leaned up against a fence close by to it all, calmly using the point of his knife like a toothpick. Wonder what all the ruckus is all about he thought as he looked at the collection of folks around.

One of the cats that had dissapeared from Johns location suddenly appeared on the fence Arell was leaning against in a large puff of black smoke.
He yawned, pulled a small panflet out of his fur...somehow...and handed it down to the man. After that, he simply vanished in the same method he had used to arrive.

"I'm uncomfortable because of you," John muttered, then glowered down at the cat. "See them?" he asked, indicating the two men behind him. Now that Vice had left, the one was calming down, and the other was waking up. Both of them looked and sounded understandably confused. "I'm leaving, so there's no point in another balloon stunt. Invest in a television, will you?." He didn't know exactly what it was, not yet, but it was fairly obvious that it wasn't just a cat, and it was even more obvious that it was messing with him for kicks.
Shooting it a reproving look that it couldn't see from under the mask, he grabbed the two men, jumped back down to the street, and deposited them on the corner where he'd had them before all of the craziness started. Then, after a second of hesitation, he jumped up and started webbing in the direction Vice had indicated as having a man with a tux. The description all on its own made him think of... Well, it couldn't hurt to check it out, anyway.

Arell looked at the panflet the cat handed him . . . there wasn't much to it. Almost looked like a travel brochure to some far-off land.

And it was pretty much like a travel brochure. Inside, was an arial view of pretty much the entire city, or cities in this case. There were large dots in certain places, with arrows pointing towards them.
On one of the largest buildings in the city, it simply said 'antagonists'.
On another building, 'catwoman'.
On another, 'Spider and family'.
On another, 'Witch and family'.
A place called 'Arkham' was circled, as well as a few other small spots. Listed in no particular order was Batman, Vice, Nohboddy, Terragon, Police, and a few other names.
==========================
"Seriously! I bet you have your own strippers." a freckled face teenage boy with red hair exclaimed as he followed right behind a larger man in a neat fitting tux.
Blackstone sighed pointedly and rubbed his temples as he continued down the street, trying very...very hard not to knock the kid on his a**. "Again...I don't spend my money on such things." he half growled.
"Sure ya don't." the boy said in a taunting tone. "Well then you think you could send some down my way. Ooh, no. I know someone who needs it more. My cousin has like a freaking herem and he doesn't do anything with them. He needs to get lai-"
"Would you KINDLY find something else to do?"
"Oh, lots. This place is GOTHAM after all. That said, I'd rather stick around with the richest guy in the city." the boy replied.
"And why is that?"
"Duh. Your rich, place is filled with villians. If you get mugged, I'll have a better chance of meeting Batman!" he exclaimed. "Now then, back to John. You think you could at least send someone down and teach him how to handle women. I've TRIED explaining things but he just doesn't want to listen to me."
Richard sighed pointedly again.

Arell lit a smoke as he traced the dots to his location at the fence. Hmm . . . this seems interesting. he thought as he started walking towards a building marked "Catwoman".

Arachnis stared down from a rooftop that seemed safely out of range of... anything... and tried to avoid punching something. Blackstone. It was just... That... Okay. He had to think this through. He wasn't going to pick head to head fight, because he wouldn't win. He was going to be smart about this for a change, right? Right. -- Selina Kyle had fallen asleep on the couch of her penthouse, still in costume except for her cowl and Isis purring melodiously on her chest.
