kaginari reached his limit. he sent tendrils through the ground from his feet. they shot up a the kanji behind him. wrapping around his waist arms and legs before yanking him through the ground so only his head was showing.

Kanji watched the performance, he watched as the clone poofed into smoke. Kanji studied the tendrils that had come from the ground. " A tendril threader ". Kanji has never seen one before. He clapped, as if he liked it. Short temper and strong power don't go well together. Kanji was in no mood to get slaughtered by this man. Kanji took the Anbu mask off and watched it poof into smoke. Kanji had an idea. " I was wondering if you could do me a favor, I'll do something for you if you do something for me in return ".

kaginari retracted his tendrils. he was thinking about the offer. ''ok but i don't want to speak to a clone i want the real thing. cut your arm and prove that your the original and ill listen to your offer.'' kaginari noticed his eyes. this is where he got a bit worried. there more to this kid then meets the eye so to speak. ''your a genjutsu user aren't you.''

Kanji ignored the question, for now that is. Kanji put his hands together as if to make some seals(another word for hand signs). " You are talking to the real me, Kai ", nothing happened. Kanji wanted to make this deal. " I am not Anbu as you've probably already figured out ". If he wanted this deal then he had to get the man's trust. " I am a genjutsu user as you predicted ". Kanji's eyes got real intense and he started to glare at the man. " There are rumors that the snow here as mythical powers. I had gotten this strange feeling about something and I felt I needed to go to the hot springs. My idea was intruder and so i disguised myself as an Anbu to intimate you. I brought you here because if at one point a battle did break out, less would be harmed. I figured I could make a deal with you and so I tried to earn your trust by telling you why I became so suspicious of you. and that is where we are now ". " Oh and one more thing ", a smiled appeared on his face and the glare went away. " You never said sorry for destroying my clone ".

 kaginari thought for a moment. ''fine what is it u want? and what do u think u can offer me?'' plus i would only ask your forgiveness if i was sorry.'' he started toying with a few strands of thread from his finger tips. as if reminding the kid of his power. if he plaid games.

Kanji thought of the the question. " Hmm, if you are an intruder then you could possibly be trying to kill somebody. If what happened to the Sand is true you may be here to destroy the village. No matter what it is, I will help you as long as no harm comes to the Snow village. Now, since you are tendril threader then you probably use ninjutsu, am I right. Meaning there is a big chance that your weakness is genjutsu ". Kanji was making this point to show that he was not afraid of the man's tendrils. He looked at the man with no expression, saying " So what will it be ".

kaginari liked the kids attitude. he is obviously not intimidated by me. kaginari chuckled a little. ''kid if u think i could even make a dent in your village i like you already. yes you are right genjutsu is for lack of a better term cheap. there is almost nothing i can do against it if the user is highly skilled. and to put your worries at ease. no im not here to kill anyone. i just gave up looking for him. so yes ill listen to your proposition.

So he did come to kill someone, wonder who it was. If he did want to kill someone though he might be up to something else. " I'm going to guess you need help doing your dirty work and so I guess I'll help you since it looks like you aren't going to harm my village ". A smile appeared on Kanji's face. " What do you need help with ".

kaginari thought for a moment. ''nothing really. not any more.'' kaginary had an idea. ''wait how would you like to travel with me? teach me genjutsu. in turn ill teach you ugh. whatever your elements are? we could team and you could cover my weakness while i covered you physically? yes that will work.'' kaginari was slightly proud of himself for thinking of this solution to his weakens problems.'' that will benefit both of us.'' even though this kid gets on his nerves he would gladly travel with him to help shield him from genjutsu.

Kanji's smile faded and he looked away as if disgusted with the idea. Inside he was glad that's what came out as the outcome, everything went as planned. " When do we leave, I already got everything I need with me ". Kanji looked at the man with no expression, he walked past him saying " Let's go, Sensei ". The thought of being this man's student did indeed disgust him.

kaginari stood up. when he did dozens of tendrils were exposed. they had slowly been spreading through the snow around him and kanji. he retracted them while looking at kanji. ''sorry about that insurance in cased you attacked or something.'' kaginari kicked out the fire. ''ok well lets go to the leaf. i need to find a sage who can teach me a summoning.

Kanji watched as the tendrils retracted. A puff of smoke appeared behind the man, nothing appeared. " Same here " It would have been interesting to see him get out of that one. Kanji said " I'll meet you at the gates ". He poofed into smoke and disappeared. He had already planned that this would all happen.
(the kai from earlier was not concentrated and was just words, that's why the clone never disappeared,)

Trace arrived at the foot of the mountains next to Damion. The wind had turned into a blizzard a while back but Trace was unnaffected by the cold. "What now?!" Trace shouted over the storm.
