Heyen bowed his head, resting it on her shoulder as she embraced him. He wanted to return the warmth but it didn't fit him well for the first time to hold a female in his arms. Possibly because it was Mitsuki.
The comfort was pleasing but it didn't fully demolish the fear that dwelled inside.
A thin smile spread. "Never thought i'll live the day when you comfort me.." He breathed, burying his head on her shoulder. As an Incubus he never had the privelege to enjoy the warmth of another female other than sexually. But this was different and it felt pretty special. He liked it. "..But thank you." He muttered, slowly pulling away from her hug to regain composure.
His body still trembled, and would be so long as he thought so much about it. "You really think we're prepared? The mayor himself looked pale. Dark kept his calm as always but he was always in one corner meditating or something. The SDD I can't read.." He sighed once, then looked up at her. "..But truly, enough about me. How are you doing? How's that wound?"

~ Ski ~ ╔═══════════════════════════════╗ Ski said nothing as the waiter stuttered. Instead watching the manager speaking with a elvan woman and a younger girl that looked to be of the same race. Both pretty girlish little things.
Course her attention was drawn to her waiter, and she let out a hiss. He was mocking her; sure she had some bad grammar sometimes but Ski was not one to be mocked. As much as she would have liked to punch the little punk, she didn't.
Rather, Ski glared at him as he went to get her order.
It wasn't too long that she was waiting for her food. Ski just sat there, watching the people in the tavern. The manager had gone into the back room with the two girls.
"No," she said flatly, removing her feet from the table and taking up the sake to pour herself a glass. "If I need you I'll hunt you down...go find your manage instead...he looked like he had a panic attack. Don't wanna lose your job because your employer keeled over." ╚═══════════════════════════════╝

Mitsuki let go of Heyen when he started to pull away. "And I never thought I'd see the day when you'd be so afraid..." she thought, smiling a bit sadly. "Your my boss, and my friend. This is the first time I thought you'd need it." she said, her smile now less sad. She nodded when he asked if she thought they were more prepared, and as he explained the reactions at the meeting. Her smile grew when he asked about her. "I'm doing fine. My wound's healing well. In a day or two I think it will be just a faint scar. I'll just have to remember to keep one of my swords on me from now on." she said in a cheerful voice, trying to make Heyen a bit less worried. "Actually I was just out running some errands when I ran into Shamira and Dark." mitsuki said. "I wonder if he remembers her, its been about a year and she never came here much..." she thought. Misora heard what the Blue haired woman said, and her eyes got wide. "Heyen can't die! Hes... hes..." she thought, now distressed. She felt tears welling up in her eyes. Heyen was a good friend of hers and Mitsuki's. She saw him everyday. She couldn't even think about him dieing. Being gone, just like her real father...

Hunt me down? The waiter thought to himself as she poured her glass. Unconsciously he stared at her cup, watching it fill. He's dealt with drunks - both drunk and sad- but he wasn't used to dealing with...cocky customers.
He began to tap the button of his pen against his hip as she spoke of Heyen, and his eyes showed some irritation. No matter how much he wanted to defend his boss he wouldn't have known what to say. It was that fact that the Incubus entered with such paranoia that made the waiter think.
He'll be fine. He finally said. "I give it less than a day and he'll be back to normal. Now, if you need me I'll be around. If you can't find me through your hood then yell 'Chasm'. That's my name." Of course..talking like that to the customers was never a good thing but Chasm was the kind to take the risks.
Heyen could only smile to Mitsuki's words. And he even gave a sentimental face to show her how much that meant to him.
As she spoke he felt a part of his fears diminish, and the weight lifting even more when he felt that she was doing better. Though at the mention of Dark Heyen's face froze. At the back of his mind he was blaming the Draconian for all of this.
"Shamira." Heyen repeated robotically. "Shamira Shamira.." He repeated again and furrowed his brows to remember. "Oh..the one with those luscious breasts!" He finally remembered. "Hardcore. Curvaceous - of course I remember her." At least how she looks like. "How is she anyways? I haven't seen her in a while. I wonder if she's taken?..Hmm.."

Mitsuki couldn't help laughing at Heyen's response. It was amazing how some people could bounce right back from a panic attack. "I guess I underestimated the powers of an extremely lecherous incubus. Though he's never tried anything serious on me, I think I'm one of the only ones. Maybe he does respect me, that's a relief." Mitsuki was grinning from ear to ear now, Heyen was back to his usual self. "Well you bounce back fast! I'm not sure if she'd like being talked about that way. She's doing well though. When I'm completely healed and start working again, I wouldn't be surprised if she stopped by. she said with a smirk. If mentioning Shamira would help distract Heyen from what might happen, then she was going to milk it for as long as she could. "And I'm not sure if she's taken or not, she only got back from that other village today." She added to finish it off. Hopefully it would be the motivation he needed to maintain a grip on himself and reality. Back in the main room of the dragons nest, Misora's fears were comforted by the waiter when he told her Heyen would be fine. After he left her table she called out to him. "Chasm?"

Inukai looked at Heyen curiously, the demon wasn't too surprised that the guy pulled his hand away that quickly, he was used to fear. When Lucia went over and said her goodbye to Heyen, then came back and gave a him a slight push he tilted his head. "Right...this way then..." he said, slightly worrying about what she said about passing out, but for once he tried to not let it show as he led the way toward the residential area. ((sorry for the short post, couldn't think of much for him atm.. so uh, post in one of the free places in the Living quarters topic and I'll follow you there?))

~ Ski ~ ╔═══════════════════════════════╗ Her cup filled, Ski lifted it to her lips and drank half of it down before putting it down again. The girl's hood never once moving from it's place on her head and still not revealing any more of her features then it had prier.
Letting out a slight refreshed sigh, Ski looked up at her waiter as he finished speaking. Cocking her head to the side as she examined him. Chasm...what an odd name Ski decided.
"Yea...whatever bucko," she droned picked up her spoon and slurping up a spoonful. "But leave my hood out of it, I don't have to see you to hear you; I have keen enough hearing that I could hear what your boss was saying in the back room...that is if I gave a damn enough to pay attention."
With that she ripped off a piece of bread from the small load they had given her, getting a slice of cheese and putting it on before biting into it with her sharp fangs. Fangs that shown in the dim light ever so slightly. ╚═══════════════════════════════╝

"Give a dog a bone and he'll bite it like it was the best thing in the world." Heyen had replied. But bones did have sharp points. Shamira would probably be that one bone that would puncture the inside of his mouth.
"Ah, now I remember - so that's where she's been. That yearly switch of hers.." He recalled before grinning. "I bet she's as attractive as ever. But I have to give it a shot. One can never know when they try. So the saying goes. I hope she comes soon.." He beamed with a nod.
"But are you sure that you'll be ready to work?" He asked her, concern filling his eyes. "You've worked long enough to earn a vacation. In fact, I know I should have asked first, but I had put you up for vacation in the same day. It ends in two days actually but you can always take a day or two off."
It was like he always said before, Mitsuki was just about his favorite waiter. But he did keep things fair for the rest of his workers. Favoritism was one of the things that associations or businesses had to problems with and often leads to people leaving.
Chasm huffed. "Oh, yes..very terrifying to have such well hearing senses." He mocked and walked away. "Call my name if you need something." Hearing his name being called he turned and For a moment he couldn't find where the voice came from until his eyes fell upon a green-dressed little girl. I recognize her..
He turned direction towards Misora and knelt down just so that he was level with her seated form. "Misora, right? What's wrong? Why are you crying? He asked, resting his notepad on his lap and canted his head friendly as he waited for her response.

"H-Heyen's going to be ok, right?" Misora asked, teary eyed still. She sniffed, "I don't want anyone else to die.." she thought sadly, and sniffed again. Mitsuki laughed at Heyen's continued conversation on Shamira. Mitsuki continued to smile as he brought up the topic of a vacation, and shook her head. "No, I'll be fine. Misora's school will start up again by then, and if I'm not here I think I'd be pretty bored." she said with a small chuckle, then continued jokingly, "Besides, Shamira doesn't have any other reason to come in. And now that we're both feeling better I can help you talk to her, and enjoy the scene when she rejects you." She grinned, hoping to lighten his mood further.

~ Ski ~ ╔═══════════════════════════════╗ He didn't know the half of it. He wasn't the one that had stayed in an inn and having to hear nearly every other resident and their company rattling the frames of their beds, or hearing raspy moans of ecstasy. Yea...Ski had nightmares for weeks. Keen hearing kept her alive as much as it was a curse.
"Whatever bucko," Ski droned as he waiter walked away.
The elvan-demon cross breed slouched in her chair a little, butting her feet back on the table as she drank and ate her meal. A meal that would be paid for with stolen coin. She glanced at the bar noticing the social interaction; something she lacked completely along with social skill in general.
Her attention was broken though as a drunk hand began trailing up her exposed leg. A drunker-ed had decided to make the moves on her.
"H-hezz...there s-sweethert...wanna joinzzz me to'nit..."
That was all he got out before a well placed kick from her boot to the center of his chest. With a force behind it that sent him clear to the floor and to roll against a wall where his head hit it and rendered him unconscious.
"Touch me again...any of you," she snapped with a very serious threatening tone as she took a giant swig of her sake. "And I'll castrate you all." ╚═══════════════════════════════╝

She must have over heard our talk..Chasm thought with a brief look to the hooded female. "Now come on!" He exclaimed with friendliness, pulling a chair off from a table and sitting himself in front of Misora and the booth. "You should know Heyen. He'll be fine." He paused, flicking his eyes towards the roof for one moment in thought. "Come to think of it I don't think Heyen's ever been in trouble.." He muttered with awe.
Hearing a familiar crash well accustomed to tavern workers, Chasm turned and found a familiar person among the crowd.orNever a dull moment here.."..You know, you must be lonely here. Why don't you give that girl over there - you know, the one with the robe- some company and I'll bring you something to eat. What was it that you liked?"
"Reject?!" Heyen exclaimed in dramatic awe. "Why..I have never not had a woman.." He said, cupping his chin between his index and thumb. "But many of them are very fiesty..I'm sure they are all thinking of me, even those who said they would call me the next day. I'm still waiting.." Now that was a sad thing to admit but he wanted to bring in some humor in their conversation.
The sounds of the tavern finally returned to him and he turned to look out the door. "Seems something's going on out there. Now that you are here, would you like something to eat Mitsuki? On the house of course."

Misora looked at the hooded girl as she yelled at everyone and frowned. "She reminds me of Shamira" she thought. She looked back at Chasm, "Ok." she said simply getting up. "Anythings fine, I'm hungry, and not picky." she said with a smile, and walked purposefully over to the hooded girl. She gave her a friendly smile and sat down. "Hello, I'm Misora, who are you?" she asked. Mitsuki couldn't help but laughing. When food was mentioned she grinned. "I don't think It would be polite to refuse that." she said, then frowned a bit, "Though I think I've spent awhile here talking with you, I don't think I'll have time to finish my shopping..." she said, then smiled, "Oh well, its nothing I can't do tomorrow!" she said cheerfully. She stood up and held her hand out to help Heyen up.

~ Ski ~ ╔═══════════════════════════════╗ The man that she had kicked roused quickly surprisingly with his drunkenness, but he remembered too clearly the force of Ski's kick. And her threat ringing not only in his ears but all of the other less then respectable males in the tavern.
They had been warned, and Ski knew she'd have little trouble after this.
Digging into her hot stew a little more, she let the warmth slide down her throat and meet her stomach; sending trickles of warmth through her chill body. The stew was followed by some dunked bread and swig of her drink.
Mid-swallow, Ski noticed the little girl from the bar plop herself in the chair across from her; uninvited. In the same breath introducing herself and asking for a name.
Putting down the class, Ski stared at the girl for a bit; surprised that a child was so bold to talk to a person like her. Most children either ran away or just found her curious...never getting this close though.
"Isn't it past your bed time kiddo...do you're parents even know where you are?" droned Ski, totally ignoring the fact that she was supposed to introduce herself. ╚═══════════════════════════════╝

Misora smiled even as she said the sad truth, "My parents as dead Miss. My sister who takes care of me works here, and knows where I'm at. I don't have a bed time anyway. I know when to go to bed so I won't fall asleep during class." she said. Her smile grew as she saw what the girl was eating, stew. It was one of the many good dishes they served here. "So whats your name? And how do you like your stew? Heyen has a great recipe in my opinion." she said happily, then waited patiently for a response, smiling in a friendly way as she did so. As she spoke to the hooded girl she always looked at her hood, where her eyes would be, or at least, should be.

~ Ski ~ ╔═══════════════════════════════╗ Childhood...children, they held so much innocence. Even when the girl mentioned her dead parents, she smiled all the while. Whether if it was fake or not was a different story. Innocence only lasted for so long though...and in this day and age, she would be stripped of hers soon enough. Deep down though Ski hoped other wise.
"Well...aren't you the responsible little thing," she droned taking another spoonful. She was also chatty, but there were worse things in the world then listening to a child talk.
"The stew is good; best I've tasted for a long time..." Ski murmured taking another. "You can give my compliments to the chief if you want."
Sitting back, Ski continued to eat and drink. The silence sort of awkwardly heavy. The girl really wanted to know her name, she wasn't sure if she was willing to tell. She had to give the kid credit though, she just sat there waiting.
"Ski..." she said at last which was followed by a mouthful of bread and cheese, followed by a large swallow of wine. ╚═══════════════════════════════╝
