Everyone has an opinion about love, what it is, what it is not,
how, why and when. Everyone, from the breastfed babe to the
night creature. Love is as personal, and as universal, as we
desire to create it. For me, love is defined by my immortal beloved,
whom I sought for centuries.  Hunter watched the entire scene in silence, a frown growing on his face. He didn't like drama, never did, and all that had been going on this entire morning had been drama. He was beginning to feel quiet stressed out and agitated and you could here it in his voice "Could we please just sit down and eat." he said just short of a snarl.
There were too many people causing too much s**t and he didn't want to deal with it on top of all the other s**t coursing through his mind.
No one had ever accused Hunter of being stable in the mind department.
Veronica, my soul, my eternal beloved.
I see it all in your eyes, the past pain of mortality,

Amelia walked quickly over to Max as her father left her side. She only glared briefly at Raffaele however and instead turned her concerned gaze on her confused boyfriend. "Come on Max." she coaxed softly and laid her hand on his bicep.
What he had said, Max, had sent a chill up her spine. She felt panicky all of a sudden, wanting to be close to Max. Not wanting to let him go at all, she felt like he was going to disappear on her.

XThis was spiraling out of control. Seeing Hunter, had been great. Finding out Hunter was married to the devil, was devastating. Demons hanging around all the ******** time, was incredibly annoying. Coming face to face with the thing Raffaele regretted the most, coming face to face with the person Raffaele destroyed, was something....he really couldn't deal with right now.
Max...this Max fellow. Raffaele had almost forgotten about him, almost. Eternal damnation was something Raffaele knew was in his future one way or another, but he didn't think he'd be stuck in hell while still alive.
God really ******** hated him didn't he!? God and Raffaele had always had an interesting relationship but now Raffaele understood. God was purposefully screwing him!
The older of two versipellis' eyes snapped over to Hunter once the vampire spoke. Sit down and eat? How could he sit down and eat...with, with...with his own abomination?
The reality was setting in all over again and Raffaele did not want to deal with the fact that he had been the one to turn a perfectly innocent human Max, into a monster.
Raffaele twisted his lips in a classic Raffaele expression. He looked over at Max, who's eyes were glued to him, full of wonder and hoping. Max was afraid, but more than anything he was excited. Hell as far as he was concerned he was the only versipellis around so the appearance of Raffaele was like, a miracle! Finally there was someone who could shed some light on his existence, finally there was someone who understood him! (Though that probably wasn't the truth as no one understood Raffaele, therefore Raffaele wouldn't understand Max)
Raffaele, however, wasn't nearly as confused as Max, no he knew exactly what was going on and what he had to do.
HE HAD TO GET OUT OF HERE!
"Eat? Now, oh no no no, I'll go pick up some more food, really it's no hassle." Woah the gay man could talk fast. Not even looking he grabbed David's arm and started to book it to the door.
"Come one Veronica, we have to shop!" Too bad he was holding onto David and not Veronica.

David raised an eyebrow as Raffaele began to panic. Or at least freak out a little. But even the demon wasn't expecting him to grab onto his arm and tug him towards the door. Even more of a surprise was the fact Raffaele had grabbed the wrong person. He had meant to grab Veronica.
But David didn't have a problem with this, no not at all. Instead he clamped his vice-like grip onto Raffaele's shoulder and said cheerfully "Well I'm not one for shopping." before deftly removing himself from the Versipellis and taking a few steps back. What the hell had gotten into the man?

XNot one for shopping?! BULLSHIT!
Wait...hold up. Since when, was Veronica...a baritone? Yeah that didn't make sense at all because last time Raffaele checked Hunter's evil was was a soprano.
Who the ******** had he grabbed?
Raffaele turned around slowly only to see, DAVID!?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
He had ruined his one chance at escape! David why!? Why did that stupid demon have to ruin everything?! All Raffaele wanted to do was get the ******** out of here without it raising anymore questions he'd unwillingly have to answer?
Stupid David! It didn't matter that David had an extremely rippled body or the fact that the demon had a considerably large bulge in his pants....yes Raffaele had noticed, he was never forging this b***h! But really it wasn't David's fault...fine whatever, David could stay sexy in Raffaele's mind, he was forgiven because of his attractiveness, but still, Raffaele was screwed. SCREWED!
"Oh, you're not?" He said caustiously trying to figure out another way to escape when Max jutted on in.
"I'll go get food with you."
Raffaele snapped in his direction and spat his words, "You can't...you're underage!"
Apparently, under preassure, Raffaele really just dind't make sense.
"I'm 315!"
"Yeah well...." s**t how to bounce back from that? Max was the last person Raffaele wanted to spend quality time with and Hunter was getting that I'm going to throw you into a wall look on his face.
Hopefully he threw Veronica.....
Raff bit his lip. He'd have to do some drastic enough to work, but not dramatic enough to cause a scene...what to do what to do? He had to do it ******** fast too.
He looked over at Max quickly and stared into those curious brown eyes. They looked so lost...so hoping. They were they eyes of a devoured innocence.
"I can't believe I destroyed you like this." He blurted out.
Raffaele's eyes grew in shock. Why had he just admitted to it? Now he'd have to stick around! Now he'd have to explain everything to this kid....explain that he had ruined Max's life then abandoned him.

Amelia looked at Raffaele, well, she was looking at him the whole time really because he was acting quiet weird, but what he said.....
She knew enough about Versipellis (what little there was to know about them anyways ) and she could piece enough of that with Max's broken past to know that something was coming that was going to tear her lovers heart apart. She didn't know what, no clue, but the tone Raffaele used.... The words he said....
She had unknowingly shifted to her natural demon form and both fangs were barred at Raffaele (also unknowingly), she was after all protecting her mate.
All she did however was look at the man.

Veronica was watching the entirely weird scene play out infront of her. Her head jutting from side to side, looking over everyones faces. Her eyes locked on Hunter every-so-often but she was the last one he was focusing on.
Granted, you could never read Hunter's mind. His thought process was always off the charts, she could tell he was going batty.
Raffaele was grabbing David, shouting her name and saying they should go shopping. Then Max chimed in, wanting to go. Which, obviously, Raff did not want.
Veronica stepped in, when she noticed Amelia looking quite protective. "Okay, you all eat, Raffaele and I will go into town as planned and pick up some stuff, okay?" Thats when she grabbed Raffaele and edged him towards the door.

XVeronica, sweet Veronica, it was too late. "Thanks Veronica, but it's inevitable now." He gave her a sort of thankful look....and even though he wanted to run off with her, he knew he couldn't.
Why? Because Raffaele was too damn nice! He tired being meaner over the years, tried to be selfish but nothing he did ever worked! No here he was trying to be a d**k and all he could do was feel guilty and open up his heart to Max.
And this b***h over here needed to stop barring her ******** fangs at him! To prove his point he looked over at Amelia and barred his now larger more menacing fangs back at her!
Take that!
He would have snapped for dramatic affect but he knew that was too gay and drag queen for the situation.
"Max, right?" Right. "I'll tell you all you need to know, it's my responsibly anyway. I was the one that turned you into a versipellis."
Bomb, dropped.

David turned to watch Hunter growl and move into the kitchen, which was probably the best place fore him, and so the demon swung his gaze to Raffaele again. Who was now clearing both his and his daughter's suspicion's about the whole turning thing. Except the one little thing that set David off. He could be the calmest person in the world, hell, he probably was one of the calmest people in the world. Until you ******** with his kids, especially his daughter. His mouth tightened into a frown and his entire body tensed up as he suppressed a growl. "Before we begin story time, I think you should take that walk with Veronica." David said quietly, his voice hard as he looked at Raffaele. His gaze then slid to his child, who had turned around at his tone. "And you need to get a grip on yourself Amelia." he said, although his tone had changed to more of a chastising one.

XYou know what no! Raffaele was getting pissed now. Here he was ready to own up to it all and this dumb b***h was telling him to go take a walk? Um last time he checked, this David fellow couldn't tell him what to do. His job was to tell Hunter what to so...not Hunter's ex boyfriend or whatever the ******** they had been!
"Sic amo everto dimitto exspectata vir per pontus diabolui." "So like a demon to leave a welcoming man with the bride of the devil." The Latin rolled off his tongue expertly. But of course people would wonder why he had used Latin at all. Well it was simple really. It made a point. Demons, or at least the old powerful ones, all knew Latin. Raffaele had sat in on quite a few exorcisms and screaming at the demon in Latin was often times the only way to subdue it...that and it made them symbolically on equal playing fields...Raffaele just sort of wanted to get to David in a way that said don't boss me around because you're not that great.
He narrowed his eyes at the demon and waved his hand to get Veronica's attention.
"Come on Veronica that shoe sale at Saks isn't going to rape itself."

David smiled at the priest, even when the Latin rolled off his tongue. "אתה לא מכיר את הכלה של השטן, אם היא באה ונשכה אותך בתחת. he said, the cheerful smile still on his face as he told the ex-priest in Hebrew (The language God supposedly handed down) that he wouldn't know the devil's bride if she came up and bit him on the a**. But he wasn't even being mean. He had heard Raffaele's message and was sending one of his own, only rather than using a language threatening to the individual, he was using the one that god welcomed to the world.
See, David was a nice guy too.

Veronica was shook off. She watched the scene continue itself. Wait, what? Raffaele was responsible for Max being what he was? Since when? How?
Oh god.
And now she was being waved at. "Wait, okay?" Veronic was going to be quiet for once in her life. Amelia looked crazed and she just needed to get out of there.
Pluuuuus... That shoe sale at Saks was really tempting her now.
Veronica took Raffaele by the arm, not bothering to do more than blow a kiss at Hunter before they left the house.
"What the hell is going on Raff?" She asked, once they were out the door.

XHebrew? REALLY!? That was all David had up his sleeve! If Raffaele were David he would have totally come up with some crazy a** comeback that was at least somewhat threatening.
Demons, they were so annoying.
"I'm sorry beloved Davide," Oh snap, using David's Latin and Italian name...because Raffaele secretly preferred it to plain ol' David, "but I was never once a Jew."
Truth.
Meanwhile poor Max just wanted to grab Raffaele and get some answers! Max was an extremely laid back person she he rarely took initiative but the fact that Raffaele had been so close to telling him s**t...and now was leaving, made him want to punch both Amelia and David in the face! Hell he'd punch Hunter too...but no Veroinica because he really liked her for some reason.
Eh, he probably wouldn't punch Amelia in the face....just withhold sex or some s**t. What made everything worse, was the fact that Raffaele who had been in the same room as him, had turned Max! TURNED HIM!
It was like hitting the jackpot...and realizing that all his sorrows...could be considered the blood on Raffaele's hands.
Now with Veronica outside, (he had jetted out the door) Raffaele seethed.
"What's going on? What do you think?" Someone wasn't in a good mood. "I made Max what he is and that stupid David made it impossible for me to escape the situation." Well yeah that summed it up but it didn't address how unbelievably guilty the older versipellis felt.
"Let's go get shoes, or food, or clothes, or strippers, or whatever."

Veronica sighed. "I don't know a*****e! Thats why I'm ******** asking you." She put her hands on her hips and blew the hair that had fallen into her eyes, from her face.
"You made Max..that thing? Are you ******** kidding me?" She shook her head. "Wait, this is bad why?" She had no clue about anything that Raffaele or Max were. She knew like, the name but couldn't really pronounce it. And that they could mold into other things but aside from that, she knew nada.
Veronica nodded. "Kay, wait. Strippers? Like, Male strippers? I could go for that." A sly smile appeared on her face. "But I'm not sure how Hunter would be with that one."
So, if Veronica could get past the whole 'Raffaele loves my husband' deal, maybe they could get along really well.
Shoes, food, sex, and whatever. They really could be best friends.

XRaffaele growled in frustration and threw his arms in the air. "Because I feel bad and guilty because of what I did! DUH Veronica!" Oh great now he was acting like a girl. "Then I abandoned him because I felt really really bad for losing it and going after him so because of that I feel even worse!"
Raffaele was not pro versipellis by any means really. His experience of becoming a supernatural being, had been hell. It had been positively terrible especially because Raffaele back in the day had been an extremely caring and tranquil soul....that and he had serious compassion for the human race so going crazy and killing then eating humans, really wasn't his cup of tea. He did it though, and still to this day devoured unsuspecting human beings...but that didn't mean he particularly liked to. What was bad was that Raffaele in the beginning after infecting Max with versipellis DNA had every intention of sticking around to nurture the kid, it was instinct, but after Raffaele saw the initial craziness max started to go through, and saw the consequences, Raffaele bailed out of there as fast as he could.
He blamed the massacres on himself and blamed every ounce of Max's upcoming sorrow on himself as well.
"Yeah male strippers, why would we go see girls?" Raffaele said it like the idea was completely ludicrous. Raffaele twisted his lips and thought about what was about to happen. The versipellis hadn't actually intended to go to a strip club, but where there were strippers, there was alcohol, and a lot of it. Alcohol meant Raffaele could drink, which meant he could get drunk (after like 20 shots) which meant he'd feel all warm and fuzzy and not have to feel guilty anymore! Wait...what would Hunter do if he knew Raffaele was taking his wife to go see half naked guys? Well...they'd end up naked because Raffaele had a way of getting them to take their clothes off.
He'd probably flip a s**t and get all possessive and crap...but most male stripper were gay anyway...like Chippendale's, all gay.
"You know," Raffaele started smoothly, "Hunter doesn't have to know we went to a strip club." He glanced over at Veronica with one of those peer pressure filled but seductive gazes.
"I mean, I do have singles."
