A little strange in her ways, Buu is not from these lands, but travelled here after her last master died of a feverish sickness. She travelled for a while, but eventually settled in the swamp, where she collects feathers and makes various pastes, medicines and crafts.
She is calm, and generally in a pretty good move. Gentle in her every movement, her kirin and uni genes have mixed together and made her quite the graceful creature. Still foreign, she does not quite understand all of the customs of the Indians, but she is willing to learn and try. A talented healer, she will never turn away anyone she can help. But she can also often be found making things out of the plants and leftover materials around her, her 'critter saddle' being a good example of her work.
Constantly at least within earshot of a bird, mouse or lizard, her little helping paws are never far away. Whatever is too intricate for her to do herself, she can usually ask her critter-friends to help. It is not uncommon to find an assortment of creatures following her around, or for that matter hitching a ride on the saddle on her back that had been put together for specifically that purpose, and for carrying her feather collection.

A little strange, Buu has travelled far to make it to the Kawani Lands. She used to have a human master, more of an understanding relationship, really, she would allow him to ride her, and he would show her how to make certain things. In the process, she picked up some of his human words, but of course she could not communicate back to him short of motions. She was never named, as the human that raised her had rescued her from certain death when her mother died giving birth. But she did keep hearing the same word whenever other humans referred to the man. 'Buu', they called him, a mongolian word for 'Shaman'. When he passed away from a foreign virus, she felt that he lived on in her and adopted his name.
When she lost him, she sought out warmer lands, somewhere that would be a little easier to survive on her own. She was more than delighted to eventually make her way down from the mountains and find other soquili. She did not like the desert much, too warm for her liking. The forest was alright, but she wanted to live somewhere more interesting, somewhere she hadn't lived yet, so her eventual decision was to make her home in the swamp. Here she always had an abundance of plant life to study, pick, and sometimes even grow, for later use in mixtures, pastes and medicine.
She liked the way of the natives that she found in this new land, though their customs were different than the ones she grew up with, she appreciated them for allowing her stay. All the colorful feathers particularly struck her fancy, and she began to collect them.
As she settled in and her feather collection began to grow, Buu found herself constantly befriending small animals. They would play in her hair, and twitter and chitter and her, and they would help her with her collection. Bringing her new feathers, the more dexterous critters would tie them together for her into beautiful bunches that she could carry around with her. But eventually this became a little cumbersome, and would get in the way so Buu set about creating something to solve this small hindrance.
She took her time on her search, but eventually she found the perfect branch, bent and forked, that she could tweak into the shape of a saddle. With a little help from her critter-friends, this saddle became the new mantle for her feather collection, not to mention allow for a safer place for those critters to nestle upon her back.
It's not often that this newcomer is found without at least one or two little animals nearby, but she is content to wander her new-found home in their company. She makes her rounds through the swamp, collecting feathers and gathering supplies for her medicines and various crafts.
