Spike---&--- SCAR v. 2.0Spike quickly ran over to what looked like the main computer. "Scar, download everything you can. Then, activate the self-destruct code. We're never coming back here again," Spike said. There was a slight quiver to his voice. "Right away, sir." Scar replied. Spike's shoulder opened up and a wire poked out, plugging itself into the computer. "This may take a while," Spike told Albus.

Spike---&--- SCAR v. 2.0A few minutes later, Scar finished downloaded the files. "The files are complete and self-destruct is activated. Ten seconds until the lab is neutralized, sir." Spike blinked. For a genius, he was a ******** idiot. "RUN!" The Absol shouted, speeding past Albus and up the stairway.

Albus" You idiot!" Albus turned around and tore up the stairs after Spike as soon as he comprehended what Scar had said. Although it's somewhat of an embarrassing ability, the entire line of Eevee's has one and only one real gift. They can flee from just about anything, including explosions. Albus tore up the stairs at frightening speeds. The flames he'd held onto were released slowly as he ran leaving a trial of fire in his wake.

Spike---&--- SCAR v. 2.0"Close the door, Scar!" "Right away, Master Salvador." The door to the emergency exit quickly closed behind the two canines. There was then the sound of a muffled blast as the lab exploded. Spike caught up to Tolin and Sam, panting. "If anyone asks... A pipe broke..." He breathed heavily.

" I don't... care..." Albus's breathing mirrored Spike's. Tolin stared at the door, slightly surprised by the muffled blast. Well, an explosion was one way to do it. " If you're both alright, I'd like to check on Sam's legs." It was a reasonable request. Tolin had to grab him and run the moment he attached it, so it wasn't unlikely that it needed adjustments.

Spike---&--- SCAR v. 2.0Spike nodded at Tolin's request. "I'll check his reflexes," He said. Sam couldn't feel pain in the robotic legs, but they still had the same reflexes as normal legs. From Spike's shoulder came a little needle, which poked the bottoms of Sam's robotic feet. If they had been installed correctly, even asleep, Sam's new legs should recoil a little at each poke.

Zori & Suki & Kai & Luna & Gary & LumonAs the first, faint rays of sunlight lit the morning sky, a small, dark figure could be seen sitting silently in the sand. There was no one with her, and she didn't move an inch. She was waiting. It wasn't until the sun was half-way across the horizon that more Pokemon, this time in a large group, gathered around the Eevee. Zori's golden eyes, dark with dread, were fixed on a certain Cubone where she stood in the center before her. Kaiyou stood at Luna's side, his violet arms crossed sternly. Suki floated in the back, holding Gary in her arms as he slept. Lumon was beside her. The latter three, Zori knew, would not take part in whatever was to come. Luna's voice pulled her away from her thoughts, and the Eevee turned her head. "Here is how your trial will work, Zori. Kai, Suki and I will hide deep within the ruins, where there's no light to see. Your task, is to find us, one by one, and bring us to the surface. We won't make any sort of noise, or do anything to give ourselves away. You have to find us on your own, without the power of sight." Luna explained with a chilling calm. Zori blinked as Suki's name was mentioned. She was taking part in this? She glanced at the Mismagius, but she didn't meet her gaze. As Luna continued to explain, Zori's ears fell flat against her head. "A twisted game of hide and go seek? That's it? I was expecting to be pitted against some mutated, massive Fighting-type or something." Zori's voice was dry and full of suspicion. She didn't know if there was a catch to this, but she wanted to find out before she headed down into the ruins. "Oh, believe me, Zori. This task will be difficult enough without a fighting aspect to it. Besides, we couldn't risk telling a certain Lucario; he'd drag you out of this before you could even set a paw inside the ruins." Luna replied. She knew something that Zori didn't. Something that, soon enough, Zori would discover on her own. "Now is the time." Luna finished. Zori nodded sharply., her golden gaze cold and impersonal. Suki set Gary down in the sand next to Lumon, and floated off into the ruins, followed quickly by Kaiyou and Luna. It was only a few seconds before the Eevee could no longer hear their footsteps, but it was much longer before Lumon gave the signal for her to begin the hunt. Zori rose to her paws, and slipped inside the ruins after her teammates. She could feel a wall of shadow closing in on her, and she felt her chest tighten uncomfortably. She was underground. The light was gradually fading as she stepped deeper into the heart of the ruins, and she could feel her body tensing up. She wanted to bolt. To run away, and give up. To hide in her mother's fur like a lost kit. She paws, watching the shadows warily. That could never happen. Her place was here, ad she had to prove it to her teammates, or else she'd forever be dead in their minds. She'd lose her place amongst the Pokemon she'd forever considered family. She forced herself to keep walking. Step by step, minute by minute; she walked. The tunnel led on forever, it seemed, and she couldn't see a thing. She sighed softly, closing her eyes. Sight was no good down here, so it didn't make much of a difference. After a few moments, her ears twitched. Sound. Keeping her eyes closed, she willed herself to walk on. She followed the sound, however faint it was, to the source. It was leading her deeper, judging by the down-grade of the slope she was on. This scared her a little bit, and she slowed cautiously to ensure she was placing her paws on stable ground. She'd been right to. A fissure. So deep in the ground that if Zori pressed her paw down it, she couldn't touch the bottom. She didn't know how deep it was, or how far across, but both distances were longer than her leg. She'd have to jump blindly. The sound was on the other side, calling to her. It was a gentle noise, like breathing. She focused on the noise, and shifted closer to the gap, before bunching her muscles, and leaping. For a moment dread closed around her heart. She felt nothing beneath her paws. Just air. No solid ground. Maybe there wasn't anything to land on, after all. Then, her paws hit the crumbling, stone tile on the other side, and she sighed with relief. A shiver ran down the Eevee's spine as something brushed against her shoulders. A warm, ghostly hand. Suki. Zori nodded to her partner with a weak smile, though she knew Suki could not see her. As the Eevee turned she realized that the matter of getting back was far less dangerous. She just had to picture her previous path, and mimic it. She aligned herself on the tiles, and leaped, her paws reaching through the air for the ground she knew would hit. The front ones did. Her back paws hit nothing, and the Eevee scrambled to pull herself to safety, biting down hard on the stone tiles, and heaving her little body the full way out of the gap. Breathing hard, she rose shakily to her paws. Zori could sort of... sense... Suki behind her, and she nodded. The soft-furred Eevee led the way, her ears pricked for sounds. She was about to track another noise, when Suki's hand was on her shoulders again. "You must find and guide us one at a time." She reminded gently. Zori sighed. Right. She pricked her ears, straining for the noise and chatter of the surface world. She could faintly scent fresh air. The Eevee headed straight for it, her strides getting longer, and her walking breaking into a run as she felt the fresh air of the surface world around her. She burst out into the open, and was about to open her eyes when Suki's hands pressed over them. "No sight." Zori was about to object, when she realized that Suki was helping her. She'd have to remember this, for she knew that Luna and Kai wouldn't assist her with this sort of thing. They wouldn't offer reminders. Zori nodded gratefully to her partner, and slipped blindly back into the ruins. She made her way back down to what seemed to be the central room of the ruins, ad sat down, pricking her ears for sounds. She had to locate the noise she'd heard earlier. The faint hush of breathing. Zori's head turned sharply, and she was immediately trotting toward the sound, her soft, padded paws moving soundlessly across the stone. The slope of the floor changed again. This time into a staircase. Zori charged up it, her small, but strong muscles pulling her determinedly up the stairs. She reached the top, and froze. The noise was gone. She padded around the little room in confusion. Where? Oh. She could make out Kaiyou's scent with ease in the stale air. She glanced above her head, her nose pointing straight at what she knew must be the Marshtomp. There were no air currents to push the scent around down here. With a soft thud, the Marshtomp touched the ground in front of her, brushing her fingers apologetically in her fur. Zori affectionately butted her head against him. She wasn't afraid of this place anymore, her sight could only guide her so far. Within about half an hour, Kaiyou stood safely on the surface, and Zori was stepping back into the ruins. "This will be your greatest task, Zori. Be on your guard." He murmured quietly. Zori nodded seriously, though confusion echoed inside her head. What did he mean by that? Fifteen minutes later, she found out what he meant. Luna didn't make any noise. Not a single one. Even her breathing was silent. Zori growled. This was impossible. Why did Luna want so much for her to leave?! This wasn't fair! Despair pulled at Zori's mind, and she crouched down on the tiles. Darkness closed in around her. She felt alone again. Scared. A deep-rooted terror was tugging at her heart. Run. She had to- NO. That was why she was down here in the first place! She shook her head nervously, staying crouched on the stone. She had to focus. If sight and sound couldn't help her find Luna, maybe scent could. No. That was impossible. Without air currents, scent had only a short range. She didn't know how she was supposed to find Luna, but she knew that she had to. The Eevee rose to her paws, and walked around the edge of the room. She passed by the two tunnels where Kai and Suki had hidden, and paused as she found a third. What if it never ended? What if Luna wasn't down there at all? What if she'd been sent down here in hopes she'd never return? Zori swallowed nervously, and dove into the final tunnel. She couldn't see, hear, or smell anything. Just the silence of dust and cobwebs that brushed her fur. The tunnel narrowed, and she could feel her body tensing nervously. She didn't know the path of this tunnel at all, or if she'd even find Luna at the end. She had to keep going, though, despite her worries. The only way other than this was out, and that wasn't an option, in her opinion. It was over an hour before she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder. Zori nearly jumped out of her skin, twisting around with a startled yelp. Luna was probably smirking, too! The little brat! Zori growled with displeasure, but quieted as Luna stroked her ears. "You've passed the most difficult part of the test, Zori. You weren't guided down here by your senses, but your determination, courage, and willpower. Gradually, we cut back each of your senses until you had nothing left to go on but the stone beneath your feet, and the thoughts in your head. Luna explained softly. "And you did it. We had to bring a torch down here the first few times, trying to memorize these passages. You did it on your own. Zori...? You've proven yourself a leader worth being proud of. And... I'm glad you don't have to go." The Cubone hugged her tightly, and Zori snuggled against her friend's warm body. "...So am I. And... I see the idea behind this. You wanted to teach me to walk on my own four paws, without the help of everyone else. You wanted me to trust in myself." Zori murmured back. Even in the darkest depths of the ruins, behind that bone helmet, she could tell that Luna was smiling. The Cubone led her forward, deeper into the ruins, and Zori didn't hesitate to follow, trotting easily along next to the Cubone. Never again would she fear the dark, or being trapped. She felt... at ease. After about an hour, Luna and Zori stood behind a gaping hole in the ceiling. Zori, even with her eyes closed, could feel the wind in her fur, and hear the sounds of the surface. Luna bunched her muscles, and jumped, grabbing onto the edge, and hoisting herself up. Zori studied the sounds carefully, memorizing the location of the edge of the hole. She bunched up her own muscles, and leaped, perhaps rising a little bit farther than Luna, as her own paws touched the top of the ground with ease. Blindly, the Eevee pushed Luna's shoulder with her muzzle, guiding her toward Kaiyou, Ketsueki, Lumon, and Gary, who were gathered on the other side of the ruins. It was about an hour's walk, but it was easy, after being cramped underground for so long. Suki and Kai hugged Zori tightly upon return, and the little Eevee finally opened her eyes, flinching at the bright light of the afternoon sun. "Welcome back, Zori." "You did it, you did it!" "You get to stay~! "Zooooor....." Zori just laughed, delighted by the outpouring of love and affection from her teammates. She leaped up onto Kai's shoulders, and crouched there, purring as he scratched her behind the ears. "Zori, we could never have let you leave us." Luna assured the Eevee quietly. "We knew you'd pull through. It's you who didn't believe in your own abilities." Kai added, grinning. "We designed this whole thing to show you who you can be if you try, and how different you are from the way you see yourself." "A test not of courage, but of confidence." "...We're just glad to have you back, Zori~" Zori smiled, and the team stayed there as a group for several more minutes, discussing the day's events and plans. However, as the afternoon sun began to burn hot on their backs, they headed home, seeking the cool, serene safety of the guild.

Sam's legs jolted slightly at each poke, a telltale sign of the leg's health. Tolin looked down at the mechanical legs and nodded happily. " Excellent. You'll have access to the lab shortly. We'll send you a key and directions by the mail." Tolin repositioned Sam over his shoulder. " Then, we'll take our leave. Thank you for your assistance." Tolin turned around and began walking away. Albus's eyes followed him as he walked off. He eyes turned from his leader to Spike. He nodded his head slightly as a gesture of appreciation. " Thank you." He too turned and followed Tolin out. ((Yeah, it's like two weeks late. Sorry. I've been having a bit of a rough time and haven't really been up to the task of writing at all lately.))

LeonLeon was sitting atop a large pillar with his legs crossed and his eyes closed. It was obvious that he was meditating, or at least trying to. His face was rather contorted and twisted, as if he was struggling with something. For once, the monk couldn't meditate because he had something else on his mind.
"WE. ARE TO NEVER. SPEAK. OF THAT. AGAIN."
Why had it come up? Why the hell couldn't Leon stop thinking about that conversation? WHY DO I KEEP SAYING WHY?!

"Leeeoooonnnn!" The Raichu padded along, pausing ever moment to inspect the bottoms of his paws. They hurt! He'd been walking foever and was now recalling just how large the old guild use to be. The rodent stopped short, examing the floor at his feet. Judging from where the entrance use to be and then to where he was standing he realized he was in what use to be the hallway for the team rooms. Then that meant Leon would be... Jasper turned, following the inward map of the hall he'd conjured in his mind until he reached what was once Berretta's old quarters. "Well, you're far too predictable to be a monk." He replied before glancing up to the Lucario.

LeonLeon's blind eye blinked open. Although he couldn't see anything, you still had acute aura senses, not to mention the eye was still slightly able to detect light differences. s**t, why Jasper of all Pokemon to look for him? With a flash, the Lucario teleported down from the tall pillar and stood before Jasper. "Sorry. I was trying to see if I could remember any details about Killer's work and behavior."

Jasper folded his arms at that. They were all still a bit shaken over Nico's attack and he felt there was more to come. "Did you find anything useful?" He asked as though that was why he came in the first place. Which wasnt true, the Raichu had hunted Leon down for another reason, but he supposed it could wait...

Leon"Not a thing," The Lucario replied with a shake of his head. "The only lead we have is that damned documentary on the day Amani died..." Leon was fairly certain that day was caused by the same virus that Nico was not abusing. The PT-Virus, Killer had called it... "You wouldn't happen to have any news, would you?"

 Jasper
"Not a thing." The Raichu replied with a growl, his mask of pessimism rising up again at the past Raichu's name. If there was something more powerful than hate, Jasper felt it then. He would hold that hatred and then let Nico have it when he saw that little b*****d again. "From what I hear, though, the guilds are on high alert. It's not just Nico, some OTHER black Pokemon with a powerful dislike of anything that is ALIVE...is killing as well." Really? How many of those did you GET in a lifetime?
