SalSal rolled her eyes at Vincent's guess at her sister's past. "Nami doesn't play like that. Sure, there were men who had done their fair share of damage to her but it was not that that had stopped her drinking." She looked away to the door, picking up on the noises like everyone else. "It was a concious effort before any man had had the chance to break her heart. She just did not want to drink anymore. She never told me why, either." This last bit stung. Sal turned to watch Vas as he worked. She grabbed her own roller and joined him. Vincent could easily become a bore and she was not going to wait around for that to happen. Jesus is my Lord ♥

NaomiShe hated those stairs and therefore, was very grateful when she reached the top and walked through the slightly ajar door. Her ears had picked up Vas' compliment since on the staircase but she paid it no mind. He was probably referring to her sister, the openly beautiful one. Naomi sauntered over to the bar and sat down two stools away from the gentleman from the cafe. "So, what is everybody talking about?" She kept her eyes trained on the picture of Vas working along Sal. "Hey, what are you guys trying to do with my floor anyway?" ((I messed up the timing for Sal and Naomi. It sucks but is...workable?)) Jesus is my Lord ♥

Vassili
Vassili managed to keep the square in half working from the outside in, hopping Sal did the same. He looked over his shoulder as he did so to speak to Naomi.
"We are making something you shall see when we are done. You have yet to question my brilliance, not that I would mind. So patience young padawan. Anyways you had the paint, I figured you had the idea to do it as well." Vassili keptworking as he spoke and finally had to stop as it was growing quite warm. He unzipped the outer jacket and then the inner. Tossed both of them at the booth and was now just in a tee shirt. Some of the cancer visible along his left arm. He at the moment could care less.
Vincent
Vincent was being ignored. Unusual for him. He decided it was that they knew each other and he was an outsider. Not that he was being a a**. He finished his glass of the Siberian juice and turned to watch, every once and a while taking glimpses Naomi out of the corner of his eye.
Vincent began to formulate a plan of action to charm the owner. It wasn't fullproof. What plan was. He cleared his throat.
"So who is DJ for this shindig? Naomi, Sal?" He looked at the two girls, passing Vassili off as just the bartender and help.

Naomi"I was bored when I bought that paint, money to spare," she said in her defense, "the store manager had suggested that for some cool effect that went completely over my head. I'm glad that you were able to find out a use for it though. Was taking up too much space." Despite her eyes being on her sister and Vas, she could not help but catch Vincent's glances in her direction. When was the last time a man, in spite of age, had looked at her like that? She wanted to trust the men in her life but that always used to blow up in her face. What makes this time any different? Once you liked someone, they got control and could do damage if they so please. Naomi smiled faintly and briefly at the question. "No, Vas is the DJ. Sal is his help and well, I'm the owner. We all help with other things as well so the lines of occupation tend to blur at times." Her eyes flashed at him, a trick from her sister. "So, what do you do?" she asked in an effort to make conversation. He was still an idiot. Jesus is my Lord ♥

SalShe listened to the conversation happening around her. For once, she was not the focal point and it did not bother her. She continued with the painting and watched Vas start so as to copy his method of painting. When he had stopped, her hand ventured over to his side with the rolling. She passed the roller in that square for the last time while he removed his jackets. The cancer had progressed obviously. He had mentioned about it being forty years ago. "Hey, hot stuff," she said to him, "Do you need any cream or meds for that?" The girl touched the man's lower arm just before the area of cancer. She laughed at this and removed her hand but stayed put since it was not clear where they were painting next. They had finished this square. "Where do we go from here?" Jesus is my Lord ♥

Vincent
Vincent was leaning against the counter as he watched the two work. For a second he completely missed the question Naomi asked and the slowly turned his head, a horrid fascination on his face at the sight of Vassili's mutant cancer running along his arm.
"I am a professional vagabond. Which means, I don't have a job, or home, or country to call home. I just sorta go where I go and do odd jobs to keep myself wealthy." He chuckled. At least she was attempting to be less of a cold person. It was a start.
"I am sorry about the way I behaved downstairs. It is just my nature to flirt. Who I am, how I get by. And a pretty face always makes me turn into a wagging tailed dog idiot. Just how it works." He flashed one of his devious grins.

Vassili
Vassili gazed down at her and chuckled lightly.
"I have my medicines. Some more legal than the others. Some more herbal than the rest. I do believe however your kind words could do a better job than they do." He grabbed the paint and moved left to the next square and coated his rolled. He killed the fluorescents over the third of the whole grid they had finished. He left the part in the dark.
"Just three more of these things to go. Then a little drying and were are ready for a truly raucous party." He let his mood influence the music as he changed the music. A mix he had worked on just before he had left to the forest. It was Reign in Blood and Teenaged Wasteland. A very odd combination that most said worked just barely. He liked the massive contrast. He began rolling the ultra violet paint over the floor once more humming along to the odd mix.

SalHe made her shy and she did not like that at all. If this continued, she was going to lose the bulk of her spunk before all the little boys came to play. Sal stood and walked over to the next side of the square with her roller and dragged the paint tray a position between both of them. "Yeah, well, my 'kind' words can't save your life. If anything, they could make you smile." As she said this, Sal made it a point not to stretch much but keep herself almost seated for the whole time. She should have asked Nami for something. "Hey, I'll be right back." The young woman headed over to her sister. "Nami, do you have a pants for me? This is skirt is not cutting it." She tugged at the piece of cloth pointedly. Naomi"In other words, you're a bum," the manager said, watching her sister and Vas laughing together. His apology made her stiffen but his excuses made her relax. Her eyes glared at him again for the compliment and his grin just made it worse. "You don't have to use those lame lines with me, boyo. One, I know I'm beautiful and two, it's always better to say what's really on your mind than go with a run-around." She would have added more to this but Sal had just approached her with a request for a change of clothes. "Did you not bring a bag with you? Never mind. You know, where my room is so go there and get something from the dresser. You might want to change that top as well," Naomi added, tugging on her own T-shirt where it would show cleavage if it was Sal's buttoned down chemise. "Go on." The older woman pulled up her feet under her and enjoyed the view of Vas working, not paying much mind to the scarring. She had seen it before then. Jesus is my Lord ♥

SalSal looked down at her too loose blouse and tiny skirt. "Fine, I'll change it," she conceded and headed for the open doorway on the other side of the Party Hall. In passing way too close to Vas, she winked at him. "Just give me a second, okay?" After that, she was out the door and hurrying down the staircase. Once inside Nami's room, Sal tiptoed through the mess of a floor and rummaged in her drawers for suitable clothing. That was not very difficult. Her sister had nothing - sexy. It was a huge gathering of oversized shirts, lengthy skirts and track pants. What the hell did she do for dates? Sal thought about that while donning a blue shirt and cutoffs but then reminded herself of who Nami was. She did not go on dates. Most men cannot survive her long enough for that to happen. With a vanity check in the mirror, Sal bounced out of the room and returned to the Party Hall. She took up her previous position opposite Vas and resumed her work. The girl eyed her sister, promising the older woman that she would help her even if she did not want it. Jesus is my Lord ♥

Vincent
Vincent eyed Naomi as she spoke. Obviously she wasn't impressed by him. Well how could she, he was in her words a bum. She owned her own café. Well hey now he wasn't a bum, he just didn't like staying in one place for to long. And he did work, just not for very long, or sometimes in the most legal sense.
"I'm not a bum. Or a freeloader. I just don't like keeping jobs, or staying to long in one place. Well not yet anyways. I work, a lot and save a lot. I just do other things as well." He pulled out a pack of cigarettes.
"Is it alright if I smoke in here, or do I need to go outside?" He already had an unfiltered cigarette between his lips, Zippo out to light the cancer causing item.

Vassili
Vassili didn't say anything as she left and when she came back he was amazed at how she could make baggy clothing look hot. Well Naomi did the same thing, but, there were no buts. They were the same, just completely different. He stole a glance at Sal's sister and then looked back at Sal. Maybe all you needed was personality.
"I have to say I liked the skirt and blouse more. Though they were hopelessly impractical for working." He chuckled darkly as they finished another box and were left with just the last one. The songs melded into a Blink 182 mix. Online Songs and and Acoustic version of Godsmack's Keep Away. He had pulled it from an obscure underground site.
"I might be good at mixing, but there are others who are better." They were nearly done. Just a few inches, there.
"Alright, go to one of the corners and start peeling the masking tape up." He moved carefully around the massive box and choose a spot and began peeling. As the tape came up you couldn't tell the difference. The floor was just a shade lighter than the black spray paint. After a few minutes of peeling the tape was up completely and he tossed the tape in one of the massive barrels that were trash cans.
"Are your ready for the crazyness?" With a few gestures the fluorescents turned completely off and then the black lights blinked on. The floor glowed, the white on Vincent's clothing matched and then the strobes began pulsing with the bass, the laser flickering with the chorus and the multi lights changing with the guitar.
"Am I genius or what?" He laughed loudly as the effect was complete.

NaomiIf what Vincent had told her was true, the only thing that he had going for him was a one twisted form of ambition. Her eyes flickered over the cigarette dangerously. "No, no smoking in this building whatsoever," Naomi stated clearly, "Where is that sign? It's pissing me off that I have bring out my old signs because of you." She dropped off her stool, muttering to herself and went to one of the back closets. A few mintues later, she emerged with a "No Smoking" sign and stuck it on the wall. She did not stop there though. Naomi pulled the cigarette from his mouth as well as the lighter. "Come with me please," she said, almost cheerfully, walked through the doorway at the other end of the room and down the staircase to the kitchen. There, she dumped the unlit stiff and sauntered over to an open back door, waiting for the man to play catch up. ((Edited so Vincent would know where to find her downstairs, assuming he followed her - of course.)) Jesus is my Lord ♥

SalSal smirked at Vas. "I bet you did. Good thing these aren't my usual party clothes, right?" The music was still going good. Blink 182 was playing again. When they were finished with the painting, Sal peeled off the tape as he had instructed. It did not seem that amazing until the previous blacklights flashed on. The paint was brilliant and Sal could not help laughing with Vas.In answer to his question, Sal stood behind him and whispered into his ear, "No, not really but you do come pretty close." With the music still playing, Sal grabbed Vas to dance with her. "Please? We could wiggle through one or two songs before the customers come up." The baggy clothes were swallowing her but she tried her best to get a dance step or two out of him. Jesus is my Lord ♥
