Naki stared somewhat blankly at the rank-smelling woman as her demeanor did a harsh reverse, and raised a hand in a mild protection reflex as she froze as if stricken by lightning and all of a sudden turned to dust. Several Auvrea'mitore swords came halfway out of their scabbards in unison, to be resheathed seconds later.

The demon walked over to the small mound of ashes and squatted down to take a closer look. Then he slowly shook his head. A goblin scurried over ready to pick up the mess, but he stopped the slave with an outstretched arm. The goblin flinched in anticipation of the punch that was surely coming, then slowly opened its eyes as nothing happened. The barkeep's brawny arm was still stretched out, but it wasn't striking the slave. Then Naki simply grabbed the small broom and dustpan from the scrawny hands and with a gesture he dismissed the goblin. After one last look at the ashen remains he swept the dust up, stood up and went into the backroom, fetching the bloodied pouch from the counter on the way. Soon after, he reemerged and went back to overseeing the works in progress. Nobody -probably not even Naki himself- would ever know why he had decided to give these remains different treatment than than reserved to any other mound of dust.

Janzyne stood outside the door, her hand hesitating. Tomorrow would be the last day.
What a lovely way to think about it, a voice whispered in her skull. She sighed and pushed the door open. The voice's whisper wasn't over, It won't be that bad. Plans...thats all it is. You've planned before...see how well all that planning went.
She shook her head slightly, heading for the counter. Her senses dully noting the change off the area. She sat and waited.

Janzyne eyes drifted lazily to the thing that had approached. For some reason felt a scowl cross her face. Unusual, she thought, but kept the facial expression on. In fact, it felt almost natural, she was angry. Adding a snap to her tone she said, "Get me some paga."
As she watched it scramble off she felt a strange smile spread across. Death, the sudden word bounded around her head, Yes, death should be the answer to the threat. The silly woman thought she knew something, time to teach her otherwise.
A plan, an old feeling of right, and a desire for more come over Janzyne. She leaned back, letting her half her attention wonder down the now quick parade of images and memories that assaulted her mind. Strangely enough it didn't cause her to fear or panic, instead she simple sat and smirked.

The smirk died off as her mind began to focus on the task. She took a healthy gulped of her drink. It would have to be swift, she couldn't afford for another approach. With a sigh, she took another gulp. Her mind flicked back, a fire, yelling, a flurry of movements, an act against her. A mistake, the whispered sighed, a mistake that won't happen this time.

A last gulp of liquid settled the plan. She was set, it was simple. Janzyne slumped back into the chair, her foot tapped lazily against the ground. The eyes on her were rather annoying, but she wasn't in a position to get rid of them. Her teeth creaked as her thoughts gave her images of former power. She let out a sigh...patients, that was all that held her back and it was a weighted chain.

His expression changed for the better as he saw an assorted group of customers start to file in. They were all Drow, and dressed like mercenaries, students, merchants. No doubt, however, there might be a few nobles in the mix, of the sort that likes to blend in with the lower folk and try different experiences. Such as places less luxurious than those that surround their Houses.

The influx of people was still slow, but Naki was confident he would get them to come back and spread the word. A few of the patrons went into the spa wing, and a few others claimed seats in several tables. A small portion of the latter took a couple private booths to conduct their conversations safely away from eavesdroppers. At that moment Lyvesta, his pet slave, emerged from the backroom carrying a plate which she set in front of him. Naki gave her a glare, then grunted almost unnoticeably and sat down on a stool behind the bar and started to eat the rothé steak. Lyvesta gave him a smile that almost any other male would have found extremely charming, and went back into the back room.

That steak, Naki had to grudginly admit to himself, was very skillfully cooked to suit the taste of a carnivore like him.
