Her feelings she hides, Her dreams she can't find She's losing her mind, She's fallen behind Evangeline realized why she was stronger. Her powers only took energy from her when she needed them. If she could not use them, they fed off of less energy. Conrad and Eliza seemed to be less fortunate.

Everyone is changing There's no one left that's real To make up your own ending And let me know just how you feel
"Don't bother. The machines are going to be turned off in about," he looked at his watch, "two minutes. This process will be more than one round of this. We can't kill them all before we have enough of their energy, can we?"
Silas looked closely at Emma. He had never heard what her background was, and never talking about his own, knew she did not know his. He could never shake the feeling that she seemed almost compassionate about these little monsters though. "He can make it that long right?" he asked her, trying to read her answer as though it might answer his questions.
'Cause I am lost without you I cannot live at all My whole world surrounds you I stumble then I crawl

There was a man who lived in Leeds; He filled his garden full of seeds. And when the seeds begin to grow, it was like a garden full of snow Emma nodded, barely understanding. She had shown up at the school after the plan had been worked out and never fully figured it out. Or bothered to ask, for that matter. One day, I'll ask about it. She promised herself as she waved a thanks and headed back to her classroom.
She always felt unsettled by Silas.Though she didn't know why, she felt as though he was constantly trying to read her. She wasn't a secretive person; if someone had the urge to ask her about her family life, she'd answer. Well, granted, she wouldn't answer any of the students when it came to her family. What ideas would that give them... She shuddered at the thought. More deaths than necessary for the non-magic users wasn't acceptable. She stood beside the open door, out of view, waiting for the machines to turn off. And when the door begins to crack, it's like a penknife in my back. And when my back begins to bleed... I'm dead, dead, dead indeed!

Blood feeds us all in one way or another
The pain was unbearable, Eliza was scratching at her temples lightly, trying to deviate the pain. When it went away, almost instantaneously, she wanted to cry with joy. Her energy returned as fast as the pain disappeared; she was so excited, she almost forgot to put her gloves back on.
As she put them on, she felt a pang of remorse. Her freedom was gone but she felt alive again. I guess I can't complain. She though as she rubbed her temples where she scratched. "Hey Conrad, you feel better now?" She asked, almost giggling with happiness to be herself again.

She went over to Eliza and hugged the girl. She was careful not to touch her skin. She was happy, not stupid. She looked down at Conrad and hugged him too.

And when the seeds begin to grow, it was like a garden full of snow Emma heard the students' excitement and walked into the room. The machines were off and the students were making sure that everything was in working order. That one girl, Eliza, had her gloves back on showing that she wasn't willing to test her powers on any unsuspecting teenager. Or teacher, for that matter. "Well, It seems you are all feeling better. Back to the bags." She ordered, her hands on her hips. And when the door begins to crack, it's like a penknife in my back. And when my back begins to bleed... I'm dead, dead, dead indeed!

Her feelings she hides, Her dreams she can't find She's losing her mind, She's fallen behind Evangeline was so happy about her powers that she morphed her form halfway between a human and a falcon. Some of the bolts holding the bag came loose on her third kick.

Conrad had muttered, "Get off," when Evangeline hugged him, but he understood. A flood of understanding and knowing suddenly had hold of him. He knew what he was doing. He knew where he was going. He knew the stars were out there, and he'd be okay. He took pure joy in ripping his bag from seam to seam.

Casidhe caught her breath as the machines stopped working. Anxiously, she inched her way back out into the infirmary. Half way across she hid under a bed and listened hard for the nurse. Not for her voice, however. Thank God, they've turned off the machines. I thought they'd never go off. Let's see, when does the next round start?... Ah, in some hour's time. That'll give me time to relax before the next flood of "sick" students comes in. With a sick feeling in her stomach, yet also a feeling of security now that she knew what was going on, Casidhe made her way back down to period one, where her classmates were destroying the bags.

As Eliza pounded the crap out of the bag, her energy level grew instead of depleting. Amazing... You learn something new everyday. As her energy got low, it used the energy in the air. She understood that now. But she didn't care at the moment. She couldn't, exactly.
She was too happy to be living again. She was happy that they all were back to normal. There were moments where the outcome didn't look so good. Students falling asleep or collapsing. Nearly passing out, as well. Yea, today sucked. But it was getting better by the moment. Her fear of it all was gone for her mind. But there was a little point in the back of her head that said it wasn't over.
This was only the beginning.

Casidhe returned to class, reported to the teacher, and picked a bag. Despite her preference for brain power, she wasn't completely hopeless at fighting. She would've been dead by know otherwise. She chose a bag close to Evangeline's. As she jumped into the air, using the momentum to follow up with a kick, she decided: she needed the students for this one. The teachers were the ones planning it all, and the Defiant were the only ones who had the tiniest bit of concern for her safety. She was with them, for now. She sent Evangeline a message. "Feels great, doesn't it?" she gasped, trying to sound like she was having a conversation. "It's like a skylight has been opened in my head and the sun's shining in."

And when the seeds begin to grow, it was like a garden full of snow Emma watched as the students beat the bags, all excited to be back to 'normal'. They were all glowing with excitement. It was sickening, to say the least. To be happy that they are back to their non-human standard. But she hid her distaste as always, clouding it with a mask of content. Hiding her thoughts as well, though she knew they all had the idea that it was the teachers. At least those in the Defiant did. God Damn the Defiant. They'll find a way to ruin everything. And when the door begins to crack, it's like a penknife in my back. And when my back begins to bleed... I'm dead, dead, dead indeed!

Her feelings she hides, Her dreams she can't find She's losing her mind, She's fallen behind Evangeline gave one more powerful kick and the bag came loose from the ceiling, crashing to the ground with a thud. Eva was breathing hard as her powers surged back, more than she was ready for. She could feel her body beginning to shift without her consent. She clutched her sides as she dropped to her knees. A pained scream ripped itself from her throat.
Feathery wings splayed from her back, ripping her clothing. Her fingers became talons, nails growing long and as she clenched them, she drew her own blood. Her shoes had ripped apart too, another pair of talons trashing them easily. Her scram became a screech of a golden eagle. It wavered back and forth as she wreathed in pain. "what's going on?" she managed to spit out between changes.
She can't find her place, She's losing her faith She's fallen from grace, She's all over the place

Okay, so Evangeline was a little too distracted to catch on to her message. When she calmed down Casidhe would try to speak to her later. As it was she knelt down next to her and pinned her arms to the floor, to prevent Evangeline from hurting herself. She knew she was in pain, but thrashing as she endured it might make it worse. "Miss Hansen!" she cried for the teacher.

Conrad couldn't believe it. Would this day never end? Pray that you live to see tomorrow, the stars had said. 'Dang it, you balls of gas and light, you made it sound like something big, but not this big!' Conrad helped to keep Evangeline pinned by holding her ankles. "It'll be okay," he tried to tell Evangeline. "It'll be okay. Try not to move."
