I think if I get good enough, I'll knit my mom a set of coasters for her house warming present / birthday present (since I'm going to visit her for her birthday). How many would be good, 4? Discovered 15 stitches is about large enough to be one.

entervixen oODeliriumOo Sometimes I wonder why we let Vixen play with needles... heeheeheeheehee... @love to paint: Wow, that sounds awesome. Someday soon I promise to get off my duff and learn how to get pics on here, then I'll get off my duff and get some pics taken, there are enough rows to see what it will look like when finished

oODeliriumOo I'd say do six if you're up to it. Happy to see you've joined our cultish love for knitting! I just wanted to add it to my list of things I know. I love learning, not knitting. Knitting just happens to be a subcategory under learning.

Your should all knit pieces for a knitten quilt and put it together and name it "knitty witch quilt for across the U.S." that would be great.
maybe we could give it to a panda?

It looked fun and challenging. And it is! I've thought of doing a knit quilty kinda thing. To find two different colors of yarn (since I certainly don't have enough of any of the ones I currently have for a blanket). Then make so many of this color, so many of that color, put them together (still trying to figure out how I'd do this part) and have it be a checkerboard quilty thing!

I was doing something like that, but making the squares random crazy colors and edging them all in black (which you don't have to do, I just wanted to). Then my adorable feral cat found the basket the squares were in AFTER I started joining them and decided to "nest" for a few days. Well I can't use like, a third of them anymore because they're all stretched out of shape, and as they're acrylic I can't block them back to the proportion they're supposed to be. gonk The only thing that saved him was how cute he looked doing it.

Dsay Valentine Rizu-Sensei sounds like fun. i'd do it if i knew how to finish knitting.... umm what part dont you know? the bind off? I think the on and off are the easier. Though the taking it off can be tricky, I haven't screwed it up ( yet). I can see how easily it'd be to oops and slide off both loops, and then I'd be screwed.

I thought it would be harder than it really is. Very surprising! Now I don't have to make never-ending scarves! 3nodding
