No use, she was busy with Sey. He turned back around so the mage wouldn't drop a train on him or something. His steam cloud was starting to fade, he'd be seen soon.
Hopefuly James would cover his rangeless ally.

Truewind ((Um...so...I guess I'm going to rule that because Flare got her leg slashed, True was already moving when James fired. )) "Flare, are you all right?" he asked, the golden aura of his elemental nature flaring up and down his body, hair stirring in a nonexistent wind. The triangle of lightning whirled in his hand, ready to be unleashed. (( That's fine. I said 'after the smoke cleared', so it gives a bit. Besides, I'd never want to argue with Goku, would I? razz )) What else was there to do?
Aim and fire... a moving target or a stationary one, it just took a moment to aim, and much less than that to fire. With that lightning triangle, though, it was pretty damn easy to keep track of where True had gotten to.

The smack sent Owle flying, but not far enough. Before she'd flown more than a little to the side, the bird had become a human woman again...and she was holding a dagger in her hand.
Landing practically on top of Sey, Owle pushed the white mage forward into the woman who'd shot Flare with her whole body, leaning forward and reaching out with her right hand to stab Iris in the nearest accessible body part...preferably the shoulder of her gun arm.

Alber was now falling after a successful hit, but there was a problem. Alber didn't think this plan through very well. He had no way to stop his speedy descent, unless....
Still loose, Alber began to swing his whip sword above his head in a circular manner, getting it go extremely fast. Falis, don't let me die here, not yet!
((First die difficulty, second die helicopter spin chance of success))
ROLL EDIT: Amazingly it was working! It slowed his descent, but he still was going to land. Hard.

((Allen is the only one attacking me at the moment?))
"Fine," Flare growled, though she obviously wasn't. Spying Allen flying towards her, she released an ordinary fireball at him, about three feet in diameter. Once that was done, she drew her rapier in her left hand, waiting for him to come close. "Keep the others off me and Owle, if you can."

Consciousness returned with jumbled noises of gunfire and shouting. Groaning, Anna got to a knee, shaking her head to clear it. A whuffle behind her was followed by a nudge - Yves. Reaching back, she grabbed a handful of rein and with her horse's help got to her feet.
The fight. The robot. Her team.
Adrenaline was clearing the fuzzies away, and Anna took a moment to observe the field. She realized a loss of weight, and looking down spotted her sword. Hastily she knelt to retrieve it, then swung back up into Yves' saddle.
Time to enter the fray.

Sighing, Truewind opened up the lightning triangle into a pyramid of impermeable energy that hung in the air around him. "Enough ******** around." he muttered, and turned his attention to the people below. Confident that he could block the gunner's shots from this height, he prepared to launch a lightning bolt.
((The lightning shield is a foot taller than Truewind in both directions, and extends out several feet around him. It is more difficult to pierce than the air shield, and grounds Truewind to throw lightning bolts [normally it wouldn't matter, because the ground does the grounding for him].))

The fireball was easy to handle. Allen just mde a quick slash with his sword, using the blade to cut himself a path through the flames. For his main body, at least.
Then, he reached Flare, and starting of simple, did a sweeping slash at one of her wings(if she has any, her body if she doesn't), hoping to take the girl out of the air.

Well, since she couldn't rev the engine before the woman attacked, she still had her gun out...and guess what folks...she wasn't going to let another white mage die before her eyes, no sir. So the gun went up as the mage went down to fall limply over the seat, hopefully throwing Owle off too. It jabbed the woman in the side, just as she jabbed out with her dagger. She didn't say a word, just pulled the trigger, firing into the woman's ribs.
((Roll one...fire...pressed the gun to the ribs.
Roll two...whatever Owle is doing's success..))

Apparently the shot hadn't gotten through... though he was sure that the aim was dead-on...
There was one more bullet in this clip, and only one more clip. Best make good use of it.
James took aim once more... except not upon the wind mage. Upon the flying demoness that he had seemed so concerned about. Unless something went wrong here, the shot would pierce her left shoulder and tear through the wing behind it, making it VERY hard for her to stay out of reach of those sword-weilding maniacs on the ground...
(( I doubt Flare has a school in "flying to avoid gunfire", but... hey... let's roll. ))
Result: If you want to use the dice, apparently Flare is able to dodge by a reasonable margin.

Flare brought her rapier up to block his sword, turning her body to face him. She was more sluggish than she usually was, her wounds slowing her down.
((Yes, she has wings.))

Alber did indeed land hard on the ground, his blade falling to his right. Dazed, it took him a few moments to get to his feet. He saw that Anna, the knight woman, had appeared again. Realizing how great of a feeling it was to have both feet on the ground, he decided to make his way towards the motorcycle, in hopes of finding some way to be useful again... save a cannonball.

The moment Owle felt the gun, she shifted, the woman changing to a ball of armored scales. But of course the bullet went in, even as she transformed...
The little ball of scales fell off the bike, onto the ground, blood leaking out of it.
