Lyre raised an eyebrow. He knew her name? And... Lethe? How... strange. She jumped as Arashe came up behind her, and glared at him in return for his questions.

"No, I don't know his name, and NO, I don't 'like' him. I just. Had to set him straight on a few things, that was all." She made fun of his tone, rolling her violet eyes.

"Just a fan of myself and my twin is all... We were quite famous you know, back in Gallia... Shouldn't you be more concerned with your girlfriend back there anyway?" She smirked, poking a finger into his chest.

Melethia was a little distracted by her thoughts when Roy dipped her back. So when she came back up she wasn't paying enough attention and well just just say Roy didn't even see this coming. Her eyes widened and it was for a good reason. Her lips were locked with Roy's.

"Oh CRAP!" She yelled in her mind, "I'm kissing Roy!" Melethia wanted to pull away, but something was preventing her from doing so.

I shall now demonstrate the law of Sacae...
all our tribesman banding together against our invaders!

~)Sue(~

User ImageAmara had needless to say taken Sue off guard with that reply. "Um... yes... they're very happy with each other, all of them.... they... like each other in a very, very special way..." Now, Sue was just stammering. It was embarrassing for one of her age to stutter about these things, but this was a little girl she was speaking to! She had to watch what she said, or the wrong thing would be repeated over and over. Sue remembered the 'little' tribesman all too well on the plains.

They always imitated their elders. Every step of the way, they wanted to be just like the bigger nomads when it came to the warriors on the plains. While there was the issues of pride and power in the Sacae tribes, the small ones didn't know about that. To them, all the taller ones were just as great as every hero that was told about in the legends of old.

And that is how Amara saw most of the Learanians, at least in Sue's eyes. Their words were never wrong, so those words had to be very careful. Hopefully, she was telling her the right ones and not being what her father would deem as a 'bad influence.'

User ImageRajin's ear twitched a bit when he heard Lethe commented about the party. Something must had ruffled her fur and he knew it couldn't be him. Was it something about the party that made her a sourpuss?

"Oh? And why today isn't your favorite?" The tiger asked as he looked around the buffet. So far, there were more pastries, fruits and vegetables, and less meat. Typical. This was what beorc usually do. And here he thought the party maybe quite different with laguz here. Guess some of the tradition were still the same as in Tellius.

He listened to her of how she promised her sister that she would be more sociable and dislike the dress she wore. If it wasn't a formal party, Rajin would have throw his head back and laughed. But instead, he let out a chuckled and smiled back at her.

"Let me guess. It was your sister's idea to make you wear the beorc dress?" Rajin asked as he set the plate down. Somehow, talking to the feline was more enjoyable than trying to get food. Rajin then took the pairs of shoes that Lethe was holding and lifted it up to his face to example as he leaned his other hand against the table.

"I don't know what made you decide to wear these beorc clothes. Judging from these shoes, they look quite painful to wear." He then lowered her shoes down as he cocked his head to Lethe. A smile was formed in his lips. "However, that dress you wear look quite stunning on you, even if it is a beorc clothing."

Just then, his ears perked a bit when he heard a music playing. That song was awfully fast to dance in a formal party. But then again, he wasn't fully accustomed to this new world's culture. Giving the shoes back to the owner, Rajin stood up and said, "The name's Rajin Cyphers. Would you like to dance with me?"

He was unsure if his fellow feline would find a laguz with surname awkward. Not all laguz would carry a last name. Well, he had his reason of having that surname. Odd, but reasonable enough for him to keep. However, what he did know was that he wasn't going to take no for an answer about the dance. There was a gleam in his eyes as he waited for her to answer.

Hah...he knew it. Lyre certainly did not remember him. And if she didn't remember him, what were the chances her sister would? It had been a few years since they had last seen each other...so yeah. Whatever. Sunil would introduce himself to them next time.

It wasn't long before he had taken care of whatever duties the head waiter made him do, and he wanted to talk to Lyre again. Though...the question was now...how should he approach her?

What?

What the heck?

When Roy pulled Mel back up, he certainly was not expecting to find Mel's lips against his. He snapped out of his thoughts, and after a few moments, broke away from the kiss. His face was all red.

"Um...um...I need some air..." said the young lord. He apologized to Mel for ending the dance so abruptly, then scurried off.

When he reached the balcony, he looked up at the sky, feeling the cool air against his hot face. He sighed. What the hell was wrong with him? His thoughts and emotions were going haywire. He was with Mel, but his thoughts were on Lilina. Mel...Lilina...Melina? His eyes widened and he shook his head. Hell no! He would not create something like that in his mind!

"Gah...what is wrong with me...?" he muttered.

Roy pulled away from her and left. That didn't go well. Melethia frowned.

"Oh that was stupid of me." She thought, "I just ruined my night. No I may have ruined more than that. I may have just ruined the chance I had to tell Roy how I feel. That was stupid of me!" She felt like she was going to cry. Melethia walked her way back to the bar. She wanted to get rid of her sorrow. A tear started to fall down her cheek.

"Can I..." She tried to say while trying to control her tears, "Can I get...another...vodka please?"

We're part of a story, part of a tale...
... Sometimes beautiful, sometimes insane...

♫ ◄NILS► ♫

Nils chose to stay quiet the whole time, just observing at things happened around him. It all seemed... almost kind of normal to him. People hate as much as they love; it was just natural.

When Melethia kissed Roy, however, he felt like he couldn't just sit around any more. After all, his Nephew had run off, and Melethia was looking pretty darn upset. He glanced at FD for a moment before murmuring softly to him. "... I'll be right back." The bard moved away from his spot, heading for the balcony where he just saw his relative head out on. If he was called for, he ignored it; right now, he pushed his Nephew to first priority.

Once outside, Nils suppressed a shiver. It was colder than he expected, but surely not uncomfortable. Most of the time, the dragon bard preferred the chill to the heat. It was something that came along with being part ice dragon.

He stepped forward, gently resting a hand on Roy's shoulder. His head tilted up to the sky as he remained silent for a few moments, pondering exactly what to say. "... Are you alright, Nephew?"

... No one remembers how it began...

FD nodded silently to Nils in agreement as the bard told him he'd be back. After watching that moment between Melethia and Roy unfold, it looked like both participants needed some sort of consoling. And as Nils was leaving in search for the now missing Roy, Melethia was approaching the bar, on the verge of tears trickling down from her eyes, asking for another vodka.

"Oh, Mel," he told her in a concerned, albeit slightly drunken tone, "you can have all the vodka you want." He pulled a few bottles of vodka at once, handing Melethia one while carting the others with his free arm. He placed his hand over Melethia's shoulder, saying "you want to head outside to drink and talk? We can drink to the moon." Having his hand on her shoulder would simultaneously comfort her and allow him to walk in a straight line depending on how much she had had to drink already.

...And because of his carefree nature, he decided to screw all the odds and just approach Lyre casually. He didn't need to wait for any cues or such.

She was talking to the blond Beorc from earlier, but that didn't faze the blue kitty. He just walked right up to them. Yep. Just walked right up to them.

"Hey." he said casually. "Forgot to introduce myself. I'm Sunil."

Now how would Lyre react...? Would she even remember him? Highly unlikely. But whatever. That was cool too.

Roy turned his head to look at his Uncle, who had just shown up. He laughed before he looked back at the sky, but his laugh was rather shaky.

"Hey Uncle...you saw everything, didn't you? That explains why you're out here..." said the young lord.

He leaned against the railing and rested his arms against it before putting his head on top of his arms. He sighed and closed his eyes.

"I think there might be something wrong with me...why am I so shaken up like this from a kiss? This isn't like me at all..." he told his Uncle.

"Oh? And why today isn't your favorite?"
Lethe gave him a look that said you’re kidding right? You can’t tell? She let out a soft sigh before answering. “I am a proud laguz soldier. These beorc formalities have no use to me.”

He then chuckled amusedly and smiled. The cat was a bit confused by his enjoyment. Honestly it annoyed her, but she would tolerate it for tonight. Suddenly he started to speak again and took the purple strapped high heels from her hand in order to examine them. A cocky smile appeared on his face as the tiger complimented her. Lethe’s face grew slightly red from embarrassment. It wasn’t very often that she heard those words.

Rajin then handed back her shoes and asked her to dance. Here was her chance to prove to her sister that she had adapted. That she had become at least a little friendlier to others. “All right, Rajin. I’ll let you have this one dance,” she replied. Lethe’s thoughts were too preoccupied with showing her twin that she can be social to be concerned with the fact that he unusually had a last name.

"Come now, we're going to cure you of that shyness, kiddo," the morph told Ephraim with an infectious grin. Embarrassment? To be honest, the morph didn't even know if he could get embarrassed anymore. Nothing affected him that way anymore. But he winked at Ephraim, stealing another light kiss from the prince's lips. "People are going to be staring, sexy. You know we're the hottest thing here," he whispered. He knew nobody else could hear him, but it'd make Ephraim's face light up, and that was good. He spun out into the middle of the floor; literally, the middle, encircled by everyone there. "Ready?"

And then he moved, though he didn't dance exactly like the others. His motions were smoother, more.... well, seductive, to be honest. He wasn't dancing exactly formally, and he kept Ephraim extremely close as he did so. A slight wink showed that he knew exactly what he was doing. "So are we having fun yet?" he asked with a smirk. One hand took Ephraim's, and the other slipped down, lightly squeezing the prince's butt before moving up to rest on his hip again. "You'd better be, or I'll have to work harder~"

-Ephraim-

Somehow, being cured of his shyness was one thing Ephraim didn't believe could happen..not for a while at the very least. He ignored the comment of 'hottest thing here' and simply just went with it.

...

and of all places, Kishuna WOULD drag him to the very middle of the dance floor. He frowned slightly, looking down at his feet to know where he was stepping. Wow, when was the last time he did ballroom dance? The one to teach him was Lyon back when he went to visit Grado to finish up his work that he needed to catch up on. Who knew he would actually be using what was taught to him aside the way of the spear.

Of course, Ephraim didn't 'have to do the leading, that was all on the morph. Smooth..very smooth. "I don't know" the prince commented, replying to his 'fun' "You tell me" a smile formed on his lips. That soon disappeared when the oh so same butt grabbing routine came into play. Ephraim frowned slightly, but he couldn't help keep smiling at the morph.

♫ ◄NILS► ♫

"... You're right. It isn't like you."

Nils rested his hand gently on Roy's head, ruffling his hair. "It was just a kiss, but... you know, I think Melethia really likes you. Just judging by what I saw, I can come to that conclusion." He sighed quietly. "... I don't think it's the kiss itself that's getting to you. It's something else, isn't it? I don't see you as the kind of person who would get so flustered over something like that."

He clenched his hand into a fist, giving his Nephew a noogie. "Chin up, Roy! Don't be so down... Whatever it is that's bugging you, you can't shy away from it! You have to face it head-on!" The bard smiled slightly, stopping the noogie. He brushed the lord's hair back to normal with care, as if he were Roy's mother or something. "When your mind is worried and clouded with doubt... that is when you really need to stand up. It may be hard, it may be challenging... I understand that. But if you don't figure it out for yourself, it's going to hurt even more."

Nils tilted his head up to look at the sky. "... I may have the ability of foresight, if only to a limited extent... but I cannot tell what exactly is getting you down. I may have theories, but nothing I think is absolute. You need to figure that out on your own, and I have faith that you can do it. So, for all of us who love and care for you... get up. Figure out what your problem is, and act on it. And, most importantly... move forward."

After being introduced to the female feline laguz, and seeing that Tibarn had made his way to the part, Rath tried to depart the group. Tibarn left at probably one of the worst times, and all his duties only added more to Rath's plate of work. Needless to say, things were awkward at best. He harbored resentment for his former crewmate, but did not wish to show it. As Rath began to slowly creep off, he looked at the winged man and nodded his head, before turning and walking away. Perhaps they would speak another time.

When a moment or so had passed, the acting captain saw that Rhys and Vika were dancing. The fact that she was here made Rath cautious, for some reason. Nobody else seemed to mind, but of course, they did not know it was her who kidnapped Amara. The official story was that the raven who committed that act had died. (In a matter of speaking, she did) Still, some were aware, and they didn't mind. Nevertheless, Rath would remain wary.

Rath then watched her depart from the bishop, after they had finished. Noting that he was now alone, the nomad walked up to Rhys once more. "...A hosting contest, hm?" He said, stoically. "Interesting."

He acted as though it was not surprising that he had overheard the conversation. And, of course, it wasn't. Rath was used to having exceptional hearing. But to others, it must have made him simply look even more mysterious; to Rhys, this time.

Sunil? ...Nope, that really didn't ring any bells. But his blue tail...

It reminded her of her beloved Captain Ranulf. If only HE would show up in Eyris! Lyre knew that even if he never loved her back, she'd be okay just to be a soldier under his command again... or at least she told herself that. Hell, she'd love to see Kyza again, even- past their constant bickering and his aloof attitude about being just a little bit higher ranking than she was, they were close friends. But Ranulf...

She was in danger of being lost in a daydream again, but the presence of both Arashe and Sunil kept her grounded.

"Um... okay, then. Hello."

She wasn't sure what else to say- was this man expecting something from her?
