Melanie entered the Hermes cabin. Being undetermined is sooo not her fav thing. It was really crowded. She went to the corner of the room where there was some space and started thinking who her parent might be.

Jaden and Phoebe entered the cabin. Jaden was carrying both their backpacks. Phoebe didn't like it, but Jaden didn't allow her to carry hers. "It's ok" he said. "I never thought I'd be a demigod", Phoebe told Jaden. Jaden nodded "Me neither". "Lets go sit there!" Phoebe pointed to a girl who looked pretty lonely all by herself. Jaden thought for a minute and said "uh.... Ok". They went over to the lonely girl. Phoebe looked at her kindly and said "Hello. I'm Phoebe and this is my brother Jaden. We're new here. What's your name? "

Melanie looked surprised when she saw a girl and a boy(probably brother and sister) come towards her."Hi",she replied a bit shyly "Im Melanie."

Phoebe smiled at her. "Hello Melanie". Jaden came over and smiled at her too. "Hi. I'm Phoebe's brother, Jaden" He held his hand out for her to shake.

Jaden held out his hand. Melanie took his hand and they shaked."Hi both of you." Melanie said"You both new campers?"

They both nodded. "I'm going out for sometime" Jaden said. "Bye Mel!" He walked out. "How long have you been in camp?" Phoebe asked.

Melanie sighed. This was a sensitive topic for her. "Monsters entered my house and killed my parents a day after I got to know about me being a demigod. A satyr found me then and brought me here." "What about you?"Melanie asked her.

"Oh" Phoebe said when she heard Melanie's story. "I'm sorry... about your parents I mean." She looked upset. "Well... my brother and I were abandoned by our father. He couldn't take care of us. He sent us to an orphanage. Jaden hated him for that. I didn't like him much either. We were attacked by many monsters. Nobody wanted to be our friends. Only one girl, who was pretty nice to us. Jaden hated every one else, too. Said their heads were filled with kelp. He protected me. I got into trouble a lot. I hated it when Jaden got blasted because of me. I told him to stop defending me. He just shook his head and said I was the only family he had. He didn't want to loose me, too. Monsters attacked, we sneaked out of the orphanage. We roamed the streets. But we were happy. At least we were together. But there were too many monsters in the streets. We used to run and hide half the time. By the time the satyr found us we were half dead. Jaden was happy, though, when we found out we were half-bloods. Said we at least had a home to go to. It's nice here. All the people are friendly. I'm happy as long as my brother is. He almost killed himself trying to protect me." She sighed.
