"I would really like that."

She smiled widely and tried not to bounce, she was excited at the idea of seeing this ceremony. It might tell them more about the marks, which seemed to become a part of them. At least that's what her limited understanding told her.

Shiro relayed their answer to the elder, and Alaundil seemed very pleased. She spoke to Shiro, then turned and headed back towards her hut.

"She has to prepare for the ceremony," Shiro told the others, "but she invites us to rest, eat, and make ourselves at home, and tonight, when the sun sets and night falls, the ceremony will begin."

Then they would wait, Lin figured though until then... "So we still have a bit of time on our hands."

Lin looked thoughtful, what could they do until then, go back to the river? Go somewhere else? Though it depended on what everyone else wanted to do.

Shiro nodded. "It would seem so." He looked up at the sky. "Judging from the sun, I'd say at least a few hours."

He looked around a bit. "Though it seems she was the only one to go back inside ... the rest of the elders are still out here."

And Haldia was still talking with Shi'nala, while Rhea was still translating for Arwen and Roydon.

Shiro turned back to Lin. "Is there anyone you want to talk to? Ask questions?" he asked her. "You're here now, I might as well translate for you."

Lin had to think about that, she knew she had questions or at least she thought she did, but she didn't know where to start. Everything was just so new that she wasn't quite sure where she should start with it.

"This is going to sound weird, but I'm not sure even want to ask," Lin told Shiro, "That or this is just a lot to take in as it is."

Shiro laughed. "I know the feeling," he assured her. "For myself, I think I'd be happy just to sit and rest a bit - though ... I'm not exactly sure where we're supposed to go ..."

Though she had said to make themselves at home, so ...

That was a good question, "Well she said to make ourselves at home, but I'm not completely sure what that would mean in this case."

Since they were in the middle of the village at the moment...

Shiro turned to Kelirahc. Who else would be able to help him, after all?

"Kelirahc," he called out, and he asked him about what they were allowed to do. Kelirahc smiled and answered shortly.

Shiro turned to Lin and grinned. "Don't go into anyone's hut, but beyond that ... the sky's the limit. There is no concept of property here, only personal space. Everyone has their own personal area where they live, but outside of that everyone goes everywhere."

He looked back towards the area where they had gone to the river. "Though I'm tempted to try to catch a fish," he admitted. "I have a lighter in my bag, I could smoke one quickly before nightfall ..."

Lin looked thoughtful, "Just any fish or is there a type of fish you had in mind?"

Or was it just to see what type of fish he could catch in the river? She wasn't so sure but it sounded like fun.

Shiro chuckled softly. "I'm hungry, any fish will do. Want to come with me?"

They just had to make sure they were back before nightfall was all, he wasn't worried about getting lost. It wasn't far after all, and he remembered the way there.

Lin grinned, "Sure, I haven't fished in a long while, but I think it would be fun."

She supposed it would be good to have a bite to eat too.

Shiro grinned and told the others where they were going, then hefted his bag over his shoulder and motioned for Lin to follow him. "Come on," he murmured. "I'm hungry."

The fruit they'd eaten was all well and good, but it had been more of a snack than anything for him - and he was a neko after all, he did need his meat.

Hurrying her foot steps to follow after Shiro, "I'm coming. How do you want to catch it.. them?"

Though she wondered if Shiro was the type who was capable of just grabbing fish out of the water. She knew it was possible, granted one needed good reflexes and a good grip.

"I could try catching them with my hands," Shiro murmured, "but that takes a while ... they have to get used to me for that. I don't know if we have that kind of time. I'm thinking more along the lines of spear fishing ... I have a knife with me, so if we can keep an eye out for a good spear stick on the way ..."

It would be the easiest. He had no fishing line or bait, he wasn't any good at throwing knives, and he didn't want to risk losing his knife in the first place. So spearfishing seemed the best bet.

"We can use that to make a spear," Lin murmured.

That sounded like an idea, in fact she recalled doing a bit of spear fishing as a child, granted the fish were as big as her at the time making it very difficult to catch one.
