Konaga SaiAkatsuki | Konaga Clan | Special JouninSai actually let out a small smirk at Akio's question, a slight chuckle escaping him, though it was more of a bemused scoff then anything. Placing his hand on the hilt of his blade, Sai waited for the moment when no one in the surrounding area would detect him and then turned to Akio. "Well, I don't know about your bill, or how you plan to get out...but I certainly know how I am doing it. Just meet me outside the gates as soon as you can. I suppose that the speed of your arrival shall be your first test."
After his challenge, Sai suddenly disappeared, instantly merging with the shadows created by the table as his body seemed to turn into shadow and pass out of sight. Once in the shadow by the work of his blade, Sai was able to jump between the shadows of the room and leave the restaurant, quickly stealthing once he got outside the restaurant, racing his way through the streets to get outside of the village and await Akio's coming. Akio TakamiyaSpecial Jounin"Oh, yes, very clever..." murmured Akio as Sai made his way from the restaurant in his own special way. This was going to be quite an interesting adventure, and Sai was not interested in him at all.... that would just make things more fun.
He reached for his money and left the booth, dropping his payment and a little extra at the appropriate spot without looking at anyone, and exited the Restaurant. Sai was no where in sight, probably keeping his presence hidden, and judging from what he had seen so far, the man was probably fast, maybe faster than him.
Akio walked calmly down the street, easing his way past one alleyway and into another; surpressing his own presence via stealth the moment he did, almost melting into the surroundings and air. Turning on his heels, he sped back out from the alleyway and darted through the streets and crowds, as nothing more than a breeze to the common bystander. His journey to the gate was going to be a quick one; he wanted to impress his new playmate.{{Exit to Sand Gates))

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki entered the restaurant exhausted after everything she's been through for the day. 'First I travelled several hours across the desert for to get back here, then I had to find the Kazekage and then I went and tired myself out completely by rushing through three different basic wind ninjutsus. Man, I'm completely straved, wonder what's on the menu?' Looking through the menu, Misuki quickly picked out some of her favourite dishes and stopped the next waitress that passed by so she could order. "Hi, I like to order a beef terriyaki rice bowl, a bowl of misu soup as well as salad, and to drink, I would like a cup of jamine tea. Thanks." The waitess jotted down Misuki's order and nodded before heading off into the kitchen, taking the menu with her. Her meal arrived shortly after and Misuki took her time savoring the taste of the food here. Once she finished, Misuki paid for meal and left for the dorms.

Deil reached the restaurant as soon as it opened. The sun had just breached the horizon and Deil had a good hunger rumbling in his stomach. He entered the building and flopped down into the designated seat the waiter appointed to him. "Yes, I'd like scrambled eggs over a bed of rice, with some sausage on top and a glass of orange juice." The waiter carried out the order, and Deil sat there rubbing his thighs. Just a quarter of a mile walk, and I can already feel the effects of these weights. The waiter came back with the meal after a while, and Deil began eating after lightly salting the meal. Once he was finished and had payed the bill along with the tip, he made his way out the door toward the training grounds. [Exit to training grounds]

Deil arrived at the restaurant about halfway through the breakfast service. His stomach was starting to rumble. but he figured he should wait for Misuki to arrive before he went inside. He turned his back to the building and, after dropping his bag next to him with a puff of dust, he leaned against the side of the building with his arms folded as he waited.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninBy the time Misuki reached the restaurant area, it was already near the end of the breakfast service. Stopping a few feet away, Misuki stood breathing heavily from her dash and began scanning the area of for Deil. Misuki spotted him leaning against the side of the building and proceeded to run over to his location. Reaching him, Misuki placed her hands on her knees as she took in several deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself down before switching the beat to something more normal paced. To change it suddenly wouldn't be such a good idea since her body had just finished exercising and the beat's connected to her heartbeat. Still breathing heavily, Misuki remained in her current position as she greeted Deil. "Good morning Deil-san, sorry about the wait. I was so exhausted from yesterday's training that I slept in. Did I make you wait long?"

Deil watched with a raised eyebrow as he calmly waited for her to catch her breath. She must have been rushing for quite a while to get that worked up. Deil pushed himself off the wall and, oblivious to her device, said, "I was only waiting for a little while, Misuki-san. I'm glad that you remembered, although you shouldn't run so hard just for me and then stop so suddenly. Its bad for your heart." He paused as she panted. He walked over to her and put a his callused hand on her shoulder. In a quieter and comforting tone he bent closer to her and asked, "Would you like to take a walk with me to settle your stomach and calm your body before we go inside? In about ten minutes they will start serving lunch, and then we will get all of the good lunch ingredients instead of the leftover breakfast ones." Deil quietly waited for her answer, with the occasional gust stirring the streets and forming little dunes that slept and grew against the walls of the buildings. [this might be my only post today. Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki felt Deil place a callused hand on her shoulder and flinched lightly from the sudden contact but did nothing to indicate that she minded much. 'Relax Misuki, he's not doing anything wrong, moreover, he's just trying to be nice.' Straightening up her posture, she gave Deil a polite little smile and nodded. "Sure, a walk sounds nice." 'Besides, its not like he could've known that for people within the Sindoue clan, our heartbeat's connected to the tunes we listen too so might as well walk off the exercise and seem like a regular person.' Misuki turned to face Deil and waited for him to lead the way.

Deil decided they should stay near the building so they could be close when lunch started. Deil removed his hand from her shoulder, taking the flinch as nothing more than her breathing. "Let's just walk through the town to see what there is to see. We both are new here, am I right?" He started off in the direction of the town at a slow pace to see if she would follow. "Does that sound good to you?"

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki watched as Deil began heading off in the direction of the town and quickly followed."Sure, sounds like a really good idea." Walking beside Deil, Misuki kept up a steady pace and using her left hand, slowly began playing around with the different beats stored within her sound device. 'I'll change it to a slower pace around every two minutes or so, so that I won't cause a dramatic change to my heartbeat.'

[To ease complication, lets stay in this topic] Deil walked with her, looking at the different things the vendors had to sell. He turned to Misuki. "So what's your story?" he asked. Behind his back, his hands clenched and unclenched, secretly betray his nervousness. Deil tried to keep a slower pace and shorter stride, mindful of the fact that she had shorter legs than his.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninAs they walked around, Misuki took in the sights of the village while subconciously changing the tune every so often to keep her heartbeat matching her body's current condition. 'This area's pretty interesting. I don't remember every walking around this side of town, its a nice change of scenery.' Hearing Deil ask about her history, Misuki paused for a bit before quickly walking again not wanting Deil think she had problems with tell him about her past. 'But then again, who could blame me if I did I mean I just met the guy yesterday.' Continuing to look around, Misuki spoke in a quiet voice, "Oh, its nothing special you know the usual parents get killed by ninja thing and kid wondering around on their own for a few years before suddenly deciding to settle down somewhere." Though she left out several points, Misuki was pratically telling Deil the truth. Her parents were murdered by ninjas but what she didn't mention was that it was ninjas belonging to the same village that iniciated the attack. Turning to face Deil, she gave him a small smile, "So what about you Deil-san? What's your story?" {Yeah, I was going to suggest the same thing. Great minds think alike eh? smile }

[I guess so! surprised ] Deil listened to her story, thinking of how lonely she must have been during that time, along with the others she spoke of. I guess that in the end I had it good. Knowing that someone he had just met yesterday would give such a short explanation, he did not blame her for it. In this world, there are few you can trust. But seeing as to how just the other day he had told her that she could experiment on him while he tried to improve his bodies defenses, he did feel a little hurt. Just a little. Well, I grew up on a farm with some adopted parents and lived through my youth up to a few days ago working and living on the land. My 'parents' wanted me to do something better, so they sent me here to become a ninja." He looked at his hands and the calluses on the palms near the fingers. They had been earned by years of swinging the hoe and scythe and working with the animals to plow the land. "I never did find out what happened to them. Sometimes, I think its for the best, while others, well, I wish I knew." He stopped at one of the produce stands to look around, noticing that many of the items there were smaller and more wrinkled than he was used to at home. "I wonder, where does this village get its food? It looks either poorly farmed or having traveled a long way to get here." Deil glanced over at Misuki as he waited for a reaction from her.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki listened intently to his story and felt a bit bad at herself for providing Deil with such a curt response but she know the risks that came with putting your trust into someone you've only met recently. 'Afterall, some people are only nice on the surface. And just because someone is nice to you doesn't mean that they can actually be trusted. I guess I kinda had to learn it the hard way...' Misuki was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Deil mention something about the village's food source and turned to see what he was indicating to. "Well, what can you expect from a desert town. We have exceptional high temperatures during the day and super freezing one at night. We also have a limited source of water which makes crops hard to grow. Its most likely that by the time the products reach here, the desert climate has already affected the product. But that doesn't keep them from tasting okay." By now, Misuki had already changed the beat to something more steady and regular paced so she thought now might be a good time to head back to the restaurant. Misuki turned to face Deil and gave him a small smile, "How about we head back to the restaurant now Deil-san? All this talk about food is making me hungry, besides, we'll still be able to continue our conversation once we're at the restaurant. So what'cha think, ready to head back?"

"Sounds good to me." Deil said. "It just seems weird that a village should suffer drought when their ninja can make water." He turned back after giving the shop owner a quick bow, and headed back toward the restaurant. They hadn't walked that far from the place, so he decided to save his thoughts for after the meal. They headed back to the restaurant, and he held the door open for Misuki. The waiter inside saw them approaching and prepared a table for them and was standing near the door waiting for them. [I'll be back in half an hour]
