i beat both. i beat ruby by using hades and then beating his tail. and emerald took almost 2 hours and boy he was tough!!!

I've beaten the pants off of Emerald several times in the 10 years I've been playing this game. Sadly, I've never beaten Ruby sweatdrop
I will very soon though, I'm playing through it again, and this time he can't beat me no matter how hard he tries, I have the FOOL-PROOF PLAN!

DravenBlackfire I've beaten the pants off of Emerald several times in the 10 years I've been playing this game. Sadly, I've never beaten Ruby sweatdrop I will very soon though, I'm playing through it again, and this time he can't beat me no matter how hard he tries, I have the FOOL-PROOF PLAN! *coughcough* NINE YEARS *coughcough*

bostonbruinsfan *coughcough* NINE YEARS *coughcough* Well I haven't had the game the whole time since it's been out, there's many large chunks of time where I didn't have it, and the last copy of the game I bought (before the working copy I have now) had a defective disk 2! >_< This is the first time in about 6-7 years that I'll actually get another crack at that b*****d once I get that far in the game, and this time he's goin' down!

But you did mistakenly claim that the game had been out for 10 years when its only been out for 9. Thats what I was getting at. Didnt mean anything else. Just that.

Well if you wanna get all technical, yes, it's still only 9, I just say 10 (most of the time I say "nearly 10" or something similar to be technically correct) because it's close enough domokun

I have beaten Emerald once and I fought Ruby once then died sweatdrop Gave up ever sence...then my game was erased before I could beat Sephiroth. SO I'v never beaten Sephiroth ether crying God I suck! Anyone got any advise on killing Ruby?

my cousin beat the crapped out of both of those weapons and now Sephiroth is the only ok fight in the game so he is bored as hell so he maxed out all of cloud's stats (they stop at 255) and now he fights Sephiroth with just cloud using the buster sword and he is working on beating him with Mp HP switch Materia

owned them both..after that i havent really played the game...perfection is the worst thing you can ever achieve...only good for bragging rights. other than that it just takes the fun out of it knowing you have done everything completely...so sad..lol

Cerberus Gunner owned them both..after that i havent really played the game...perfection is the worst thing you can ever achieve...only good for bragging rights. other than that it just takes the fun out of it knowing you have done everything completely...so sad..lol After you do EVERYTHING though, you start over doing as little as possible, which is a helluva challenge.

yea i beat them both. it took way too many hours to do it but i got my characters to the max. I'm sorry to say but Emerald weapon was the easier of the 2. Ruby is the real chalenge. If you want battle tips ask me because I found the easiest way too beat him if you have the right materia.... If you don't then your going to be in for one long drawn out fight. all you need is 2 mastered final attack and 1 half mastered final attack. with a mastered knights of the round on the 3 stared final attack, a bahumut-zero coupled with a final attack and also a phenex coupled with a mastered final attack. thats really all you need and to make sure all your characters keep their mp levels high enough so they can cast the magic with their dieing spell. You should find Ruby weapon a breaze if you do it this way. make sure you do not get the red ultimate materia. then your 3 summons will not be mastered and you will be limited on how many times you can use them. If you have any questions just ask me.

Beat them both a long time ago but my memory sucks so i don't really remember anything.... my save file speaks for itself though.
