He nuzzled her one last time before leaving to get her something to eat. After a bit of foraging and preparation, he'd return with a salad made of wild cabbage and various berries and the like.

Lillia turned around nervously, watching the sky and every other direction for any sign of him. When did she get to be so dependent on one being? The thoughts upset her somewhat, so she pushed them to the back of her mind.

Vaedoli didn't fly back, instead, he walked. So, while her eyes were on the sky, he was able to sneak up behind her and whisper, "boo."

Lillia jumped several feet into the air and tried to scramble away from the thing that had scared her. She smiled breathlessly as she turned and saw it was only Vaedoli. "You frightened me." Her heart was beating so loud he could probably hear it.

"You don't look that sorry, Vaedoli." She tried to look upset, but failed at it. It was too hard to try and be angry with him.
